The last time I watched one of his vids he had the flower horn back when he had the 120 wall and the 2 ponds finally just got back into aquatics and started watching again
Recently got myself back into the hobby and I've been binging all the old videos. Thanks for being such a help in the hobby my friend. Hope one day to make the trip from Ontario to meet you. 🙏
Is there anyone in the Saltwater side of the hobby on YT that gives a similar level of details for fish shape and health signs to check if your fish is healthy? I feel like I have a decent grasp, but it would be awesome to have an expert like Joey on this side of the hobby! Joey really is the King!!
Try peace lillies in your aquaponic tank. I've started with two tiny plants, I've now got 8feet of tank absolutely covered in them to the point I've been giving them away. Cheap naff lights above them and I've literally done nothing to care for them. It looks epic!
Hi Joey Great looking decor, but did you think about trying to use wooden dowles perhaps to ajoin your wood perhaps with tank sealent, but ye your right about the price of bog wood and such, way expensive over here in the uk. Great videos, and keep up the great work many thanks excellent 👍
All you fish are so gorgeous! I really enjoy seeing your fish and tanks. Looking forward to your builds too. Some of your filter plans I have used for years and they are great. Thank you for everything!
All the tanks are looking happy and healthy. Always fun to see what the next iteration of the Gallery is going to be. You're always up to something creative and new. Not sure if was covered in a previous video, but what ever happened with the Convict Cichlid tank?
Building material is usually 4'x8' so you wanna do 16" or 32" cause then you don't have any wasted material. Like stud layouts in houses are 16" or 24" on centre so plywood and drywall doesn't have to be cut and wasted
Wow it's been that many years I've been watching your video since I started my first fish tank I remember it it was a 5-gallon little betta tank and now my girlfriend said I was out of control LOL but she loves me too tanks and all the different fish I've been keeping over the years just glad you're still here making videos for the beginners as well the well seasoned fish keepers
Joey I recommend you check out the Tunze magnet cleaner. It uses plastic and metal blades to clean algae instead of abrasive pads. One grain of sand on an abrasive pad surface and you've scratched your glass or acrylic. It's a game changer.
Your videos saved my a$$, man. My 200 gallon leaked and needed a new stand. If it hadn't been for you, my oscars wouldn't have survived or they'd be living with someone else. Thanks for what you do!
Joey Oscars are mainly insectivores, they can eat fish now and again but need bug protein to stay healthy and strong. They also never get hold in the head when fed bugs now and again
Joey I love you. Can you tell me what to look for with the tile bottom? I would hate to get something that would alter ph or be toxic. There is so much out there so how did you pick tile type for bottom?
the weak spot i saw in your aquaponics was your lights, you need REALLY bright grow lights. basically you need similar lighting to growing pot, and i worry that extra light is going to spill over and algae the crap out of surrounding tanks.
Cool!! Water changes in ten 10 can make a mess. So to fill my tanks I have RODI lines coming out of my tap water reservoir, going into ball valves at the tanks. For the drains I have black poly tube going from your PVC upgraded overflows, and into a bucket with a automatic. sump pump... I'm rearranging my fish corner so I get to do it all over again but make it look a little nicer this time... Thanks for the content.
I have three large Uarus. But oddly enough, I never see them eat. But they are obviously thriving. What do you recommend. Are they night time substrate scavengers and therefore I miss seeing what they eat?
the tanks you're planning on building sound very similar to the relatively new Aqueon 60 Breeder which is 48 x 18 x 16. I'm building a double using those next. It's like a better 75 in my mind.
Joes says it has been 6 years since he built the gallery, meanwhile while me realising it has been 6 years since I started following his channel. Felt like a blip
The farthest I ever got with aquaponics was watering my plants with aquarium water. Ain't no shame in having to keep them separated. But I also understand the necessity to fuse passions and curiosities!!!! MWAHAHAHA!!!! not to be too excited or anything.
Plans sound awesome! I’m surprised you still have the Severum and Frontosa.. assumed you just moved on from them. I’d probably move on from them before adding them to the 2,000. I wasn’t a fan of the 2,000 when it was all cluttered with a random assortment of fish. But it’s your fish! obviously ha
Hey Joey, you were a big part of my 600 plywood build for ideas and inspiration. I'd love to get a comment from you and your thoughts on my build. Channel is diy aqua lounge. Thanks for all the tips you showed for me to learn from.
Tbh Joey when u said you wanna do smaller tanks was u thinking u meant 5,10 or 15 gallons not 40 an 60 gallons lol can't wait to see how you pull this through 💪🏾
I remember before the gallery even went up. Crazy to think of all the renditions it’s had since. Always still excited to see what the plans are
Right I remember Joey being in the basement
The last time I watched one of his vids he had the flower horn back when he had the 120 wall and the 2 ponds finally just got back into aquatics and started watching again

Or me to you! I was actually born in Ontario, by the way.
@@thekingofdiy saw the Grateful Dead in Hamilton 92 , drove from Minneapolis straight through ⚡️
The water clarity in the 2k is stunning
That arowana is gorgeous! I remember when it was in the plywood aquarium
Absouluty love your vids joey... watching from Wales U.K... keep posting and find the real joey again.. much love!
Wow six years of the aquarium gallery, multiple layouts and setups. Thanks for bringing us along. Fired Up!!!
Can’t wait for the future of the gallery and your projects! They all been amazing 🎉

So glad to hear that you’ve got a ton of DIY content coming! That’s what got me into the hobby and your channel in the first place 🤘🏼🤘🏼

Joey thank's for the feeding tour. Fish look great, the various tank sent ups are great. Keep being DIY
All the tanks are looking happy and healthy. Always fun to see what the next iteration of the Gallery is going to be. You're always up to something creative and new.
Not sure if was covered in a previous video, but what ever happened with the Convict Cichlid tank?
Love that Discus tank!

I enjoy watching these feeding videos. Getting to see all the fish is awesome. I am going to start making a planted aquarium.

That Arowana looks beautiful 😍
Tiger Oscars are my favorite, they're so beautiful.
Love the tanks Joey my favourite is definitely the Oscars 😂😂 always fun watching feeding videos all the best on the tank build you’re a busy guy
Your 9 tank plan sounds awesome! Can’t wait to see it!
Joey... You need to post a video on Arowana Tanning or WTT(white tank treatment) I don't think you have done a video on this before...
All your tanks look absolutely phenomenal!
i love these long videos! you don’t gotta say sorry about keeping us all night!
Joey I love you. Can you tell me what to look for with the tile bottom? I would hate to get something that would alter ph or be toxic. There is so much out there so how did you pick tile type for bottom?
Favorite part “ Will you sell them ? No I will be building a stingray army “ - Joey 😂🔥🥂
Joey, you need some merch that says, "Absolutely Phenomenal!" lol
looking back over the last 9 years, ur looking swole mate
Great video as always. Still miss your desktop aquarium with the shell dwellers.
Joey you are an exceptional fish keeper - what a great video to check in on 💪🏻
Me and my family have kept the same oscar for about 12 year now, and i swear he’s the smartest fish I’ve ever met.
I think roots to detract from the Piranha tank.
Also you want a "her of lions, a army of stingrays" and a partridge in a pair tree 🤣
the weak spot i saw in your aquaponics was your lights, you need REALLY bright grow lights. basically you need similar lighting to growing pot, and i worry that extra light is going to spill over and algae the crap out of surrounding tanks.
Your discus tank is very inspirational, not only for discus keepers but also for massive, strong and messy aggressive fish
I think a tank with some African butterfly fish would be awesome.
Cool!!

Love to see 5hat on RUclips,.but I do know that it is a lot of work to get a good video up 👆
@@stoneysscapes7544 absolutely, which is why I have a really bad video on RUclips. It's on my channel.
A Moray eel would be cool with the lionfish. And will get the pieces of food out of the rocks that the lionfish are too lazy to get.
So back to having a rack system 😂 okay let’s go.
Like that arowana!
I have three large Uarus. But oddly enough, I never see them eat. But they are obviously thriving. What do you recommend. Are they night time substrate scavengers and therefore I miss seeing what they eat?
“Umm no I will be making a stingray army”😂
Joey... Love your videos. Would you ever consider a bleekeri or polenni fish tank ? You should look into this fish it's from Madagascar.
Im really excited for the 20gallon!! I have a 15 and I’ve been having trouble with the stocking since my betta is a butthead (he’s getting moved soon)
15:26 put a thin sponge between the magnets and the glass, it wont scratch it .
DUDE!!!! I AM BEYOND JEALOUS THAT YOU CAN KEEP YOUR PORCUPINE PUFFER WITH CLEANER SHRIMP.
I like the rack idea can’t wait to see it
Really looking forward to seeing what you do!
I love this hobby
YES! He got a redtail again :-)
The best!!! Good sizes maybe a planted blood parrot on a 60 gallon 🔥
God that Arowana is just so beautiful
Last time i saw this channel i believe your arrowana jumped and died. So crazy to see how far youve come since
I still remember a video on how to build a gold fish coffee table....
Been a long way huh? Lol!
LOVING IT! Looking forward to the next one!
Very interesting to watch the Arowana eat off the bottom.
hi joey do you add spinach to beef heart food you making?
So 40 and 60 gallon breeders. My favorite tank sizes. Lots of options fish wise and not super difficult and heavy to move.
Sorta like that!!! Something in between. I’ll show more in one of the next videos.
Just upgraded my tank! You inspired me to get into the hobby
Schöne Aufnahmen! 👍

I love everything you do
Sounds awesome i remember the old gallery 😅
TYRESE!!!
King 👑 🍻🥰

Fyi I'm looking forward to seeing you when you come to Atlanta soon I'm sure I'll try to say hi just say hi now to
Atlanta is going to be insane!
When’s Atlanta
Your tanks and fish are looking awesome ❤😂

Make a shrimp tank that'd looks nice
9:24 funny eater

Love these videos
hey can you try growing anubias emersed and compare the growth rates, would make a nice video
I love this guy. Great tanks and fish brother!
Lmao here we go again, back to the rack system.
😵💫🤪😵💫🤪😵💫🤪
Change… I can’t take it. 🤣
Lots of great projects; however, I thought the gallery was not supposed to change anymore
I think Brian Barczyk got bit by the fish bug when he came and visited you. He has all types of things he's doing with fish now.
Tbh Joey when u said you wanna do smaller tanks was u thinking u meant 5,10 or 15 gallons not 40 an 60 gallons lol can't wait to see how you pull this through 💪🏾
Thats small to me!
have you tried blueberries... i have recently learned that Oscars need food with Vic C...
NO!! I'm building a stingray army 👀👀
😂😂😂
Seniority of female betta for the 60 gallon tank could be cool if you can find ones that work together
You really should give your puffer more hard shelled foods to keep his beak trimmed or you'll have to do it manually.
The 700g looks much better without the sticks. Should now focus solely on the plants 😀
How does it worsen the coloration Joey?
that is one bad ass arowana
Great feeding video BIG DOGGIE 💯👣
How often do you feed your Arowana/oscar tank?
Do you still have the octopus
Ah the monthly "all my fish" tour
What fish tank is the discuss tank?
its a 180G
Missing Frank and Buddy a bit today 😔
Do more filtration videos
Joey what happened with your elephant nose fish, howd they turn out?
Love it
