      I am so jealous. That is probably one of my dream tanks. Do you keep any corals or macroalgae with it? How often to you top off or do water changes? Do you use ro water or just tap? Do you feed it? Does it try to escape? I would like to know, for science.

    • @patrickfo967
      @patrickfo967 Год назад +5

      @@snekysneks hey Jessica, it’s a 4 gallon tank, I do a water change once a week and change 50% of the water. I keep very simple corals and I use ro water. The tank is filled with coral rock (the one Joey used in this video). Yeah I feed it with tweezers and the little fellow doubled in size in about 10 months.
      It‘s a small tank so water quality is crucial and it’s difficult to find a suited pump to generate enough but not to much flow … the tank has a lid on top but the little fellow never even tried do escape.
      I keep freshwater fish since I was 9 years old and everybody said saltwater is so expensive and a nano can’t be kept stable so don’t even bother…. But it’s a great tank and it works just fine !

    Thank you Joey for sharing so many diy aquariums projects. Because of your videos I got into having aquariums in my home. I never kept fish before I met my husband but after 3 years together I finally started freshwater tank. I watch so many RUclips videos did a lot google research about keeping fish but your channel is very fun to watch very easily understand how to start diy projects and I love diy projects hand on things to take care fish tank. After 2 years I had my first fish tank I bought 3 more tanks all freshwater. In 2022 and just with in 5 months I went and got 9 more tanks. Guess what my said to 2 weeks ago, are you going turn our spare bedroom into mini fish room you got too many tanks lol 😂😂😂. I never thought about how many tanks I want to have. I just went bought so many tanks because I got new freshwater pet’s every time I go to pet stores for supplies. Now I got so many and my baby daughter loves watching the swimming around. I got loaches, corydoras, African dwarf frogs, guppies, Japanese white rice, ballon mollys, platys, hill-stream loaches, and pea puffers. Maybe soon I might need to learn how make a aquarium shelving because I’m running out of space for new tanks. My fish are breeding and I got too many baby fish at home don’t know what to do with them.

    Huh. Hey Joey, you ever use Pex A? Think that's the one with the expanding rings... bet you can use that instead of those ridged hoses. It's meant for drinking water, can't see it being harmful to fish but it's easy to use. Stick a ring on one side, Stick a gun that expands the ring open and shove the hose with the ring onto your connection. It shrinks in seconds. Really cool. Looks like that filter is like 1 1/4", maybe 1 1/2"?
