Nice play. We got this with our c64 about 25 years ago. I used to play this game a lot. This looks better than I remembered. I had completely forgotten about the cave level and the horses.
I just remembered what used to happen when you played these "early" games...as you watch, you start to apply imagination to the graphics-so that the simplistic graphics actually create images from TV westerns and films etc, which compliment what you're doing.... Something like that, anyway....lol

There's an Oculus Quest app on SideQuest now called "Real Commodore 64" that lets you use a C64 in VR and it loads up whatever roms you put in the folder... Going to have myself a moment after I get this set...
When I saw the game name my first thought was "McCree: It's high noon!" :) I have never played this game but I´ll take a look! It was pretty nice. Reminds me about another C64 game named "Kane".
I love the undertaker in this game. It reminds me of the line from The Alastair Sim Scrooge when Marley was on his death bed and Scrooge asks the maid "is this the Dr?" "No sir, the undertaker.." Then Scrooge says to the undertaker "You don't let the grass grow beneath your feet". To which he replies cordially "Ours is a highly competitive profession sir"
Oh right, dead or alive ripped this one off, always wondered why the horse ran through and in this game there is someone riding it, otherwise it was just an obstacle to avoid.
you can still download this game as a Java-Game... has 4,5 MB only... its funny to play it once in a while.... I played the original on a C64 in 1992 or 1993, I guess.... I loved the idea with the undertaker.... :-)
I was thinking this was the name of the western game that was like quickdraw. Camera perspective was at the sheriff (you) gun holster. If anyone knows the name let me know!
