Ranking the Theme Park Rides I Hate the Most

- Molly is back with another theme park challenge! This time she's headed to both Universal Orlando and Walt Disney World in one day to see if she can ride every single water ride. There's only one problem - she hates getting wet on rides. Along the way, Molly will be ranking rides on a "wetness" scale AND a "fun" scale so you know which rides to enjoy - and which to skip. Caution: you will get wet, you might get soaked!

When I went to universal this happened to me on Popeye first thing in the AM… wet feet all day and I had the worst blisters after 😫
@@CoasterRoastersStudios You too? I HATE log flumes, but I ride them with my friends as a trade off for the insane roller coasters that I like. I always come off looking like I showered with all my clothes on.

The people dryer gave me huge Ross from FRIENDS vibes. You know the one- where he gets the spray on tan and doesn’t know when to turn or where the spray is coming from. 🤣

I don't like Universal all that much, but I've always liked their water rides and how wet you get on them.
Oh especially at the volcano bay drop slides
They should move Spongebob to Islands of Adventure and make Toon Lagoon into Bikini Bottom.

Like a Wooden Boat fancy restaurant, a concert/stage venue like the talent show/famous half time show/the many concerts squidward had and showed up to, and maybe a jellyfish ride like toy story mania. Ofc this is me dreaming of the perfect rather than realistic bare minimums and sadly needed space. Let me dream!😂

I feel so bad but not bad enough to not laugh at the look on Molly's face every time she got off of the rides. We usually take one day during vacation and make it Water Ride Day, that way we only have one day with soggy shorts. We love you Molly! Sorry for laughing at your discomfort.
Would love to throw PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN as an honorable mention, because sure it's on water, but the pesky first drop one time left me walking off the ride like I forgot the Disney Parks had bathrooms... Great vid!

That was so fun. I remember getting soaked on Dudley Do Rights and Popeye's, but they are also so much fun. I do think Kali needs a retheme, maybe even full on theming it after Raya, maybe get a cool animatronic of Sisu.

I was thinking the exact same thing! Denim is the worst possible choice ever! So uncomfortable afterwards.

Totally agree with all your rankings (and how the entire Toon Lagoon needs a re-theme big time)! My daughter and I just recently went on another water raft type ride at a local theme park, where luckily we didn’t get soaked, but we waited until it was the last ride of the day so we could go home afterwards. You are a real trooper for doing those water rides! Great job!
We go to Universal all the time and every time we are in that area we say "why don't they retheme this?" I think for the theme it has... its very well done. But the idea behind it is that it's a big plug for the Universal affiliated newspaper comics. The problem is... no one reads a newspaper anymore. My two kids (6 and 4) have probably never even seen one except for in the movies! :D So we had to explain to them what the newspaper comics were and what Sunday comics were. There's just a big outdated disconnect now for all future generations!

The most important question that needs answered is - What type or mascara do you use? I need a recommendation for my upcoming trip that doesn't run or smudge when sweating or wet from a ride.
And the lipstick!
Based on a couple different AllEars articles, she uses Maybelline Super Stay Matte and Lipsense. As far as mascara goes, she mentioned Benefit and Too Faced.

This is why Molly is simply the best!!! Who else would put themselves through riding attraction after attraction that they truly cant stand - all for the enjoyment of the viewers. Molly is truly a treasure,. I personally love all water rides and the wetter the better. Normally that Florida heat dries you off pretty quickly anyway. Splash will always be my favorite and I will be sad to see it go, but I have high hopes for Princess and the Frog. Thanks Molly for another amazing video!

Ripsaw Falls is no joke! We got drenched! The water floods into the boats like a bathtub! Shoes full of water! I lost my hat on the boat so it went for another ride round the falls before we got it back! That was also soaked! There’s no way I’d go on a ride like that in England, you’d never dry off! Still hilarious fun though! 🌊

Splash Mountain is my favorite ride at Disney. I don't even care if I get wet. Second place for water rides is Jurassic, it is fun but only one drop and Splash is longer and the theming is so entertaining.
The others are a pass for me, not worth getting wet for them.

I keep a stick of body glide in my bag at theme parks to help with emergency chaffing. It stands up well to moisture since it’s made for athletes.

The look on Molly's face... Priceless. When we ride Popeye we take a change of clothes and store them in a locker, we ride in swim gear and change back after a thorough soaking.
I live relatively close to Holliday World in Santa Claus, IN. When I worked at McDonald's as a wee teenager, they sent us to Holliday World for a crew day. I went on one of those circular raft rides with my manager and some other crew members. We went into a dark funnel type thing and I wasn't holding on. When we emerged from that funnel, my head was in my (male) manager's lap. I can only imagine how much more awkward that would be had he been a stranger instead of my boss.

I too hate water rides....and yet my family dragged me on the same ones. I agree completely with your list. The only difference was that we got completely soaked on the Kali River Rapids but I believe it was because we had a full raft will all adults therefore our raft was heavier causing us all to get soaked. Love this video! Thanks for taking one for the team!

I feel your pain! I hate getting wet on rides but also Splash Mountain is somehow my favorite ride. You hit it on the head when you said because it’s a dark ride and a thrill in one. Can’t wait for Princess Tiana makeover !!!!❤️❤️

I have learned for my own personal comfort I don't wear anything denim on wet rides. Instead I wear lightweight fabrics, skorts ( combo shorts and skirt) and wear lots of chafing prevention creams/powder. I also bring along an extra pair of lightweight shorts and keep them in lockers to change into after wet rides.

I'm with you Molly - I don't want to walk around in wet shoes & chafe just to get wet on a hot day. If it was me doing this challenge (and it will never be me, lol) I would've changed my shorts between US & WDW. If they are already wet, it's hard to see how wet they will become on the next rides.
Molly, Thank you for being so very brave! I am with you on not liking to get wet...I HATE walking around with wet clothes...if I have to I will bring dry clothes and put them in a locker to change into because I find rain coats too hot. Thank you again for the sacrifice! love watching you!
"Is this what pop-tarts feel like?" I lost it! Great reviews and ratings. I agree that the opening of the Jurassic Park gates is a pretty special moment. With the music and everything it just feels very exciting! Also: absolutely Popeye gets a 50. It's nearly cruel in how much water gets tossed at you on that one.

My experience with Kali River Rapids is that one or two folks get soaked, the rest not so much. I also have to agree with you about the fun rating on Kali.
One of the funniest videos I have seen! We are going to Disney and Universal in November thanks for the rankings. Hope it’s warm enough to ride the water rides.

Molly (sarcasm): oh ya know I am just testing the pH levels of the water.
Molly (second optional response): you know I just love this ride so much I want to collect the water and take it home as a souvenir!
Molly (third optional response but kinda gross): this ride just makes me really thirsty and it's a great way to save some money!

When I went on ripsaw falls it was the best time ever. Being crammed in that lil boat with my bestie and flying down from such a height and getting absolutely soaked was such an absurd experience that I couldn’t stop giggling for like an hour. So fun 5/5

I love water rides, when me and my family go we get on the water rides first to stay cool all day, because its so hot in Orlando. We love walking around wet!
Why did you wear jean shorts though? Water ride 101 - wear quick drying trash bag shorts.
I thought the same thing. Or at least some dark colored cotton shorts that would dry faster. Jean shorts never dry, been there done that.

@@penelopepitstop762 a few months back they had it in the splash mountain shop when you exit the ride. I don't think it is still there. I have seen it on Mercari before so if you really want it maybe check there!
@@moomoogazoo7734 thank you, I would love to have one! We went in February and most, if not all, the Splash merch was cleaned out. They only had generic non Splash stuff for sale. 😞

Splash mountain was my first time experiencing how high humidity, and an ample amount of ppl who struggle with hygiene plus water rides make for an interesting combination 🤢

I don't mind getting a little wet but getting soaked is rough especially if you can't change. I wear sanuks to the parks cause the thought of walking around in wet sneakers to get blisters just grosses me out.
I usually will also do quick dry/moisture wicking stuff since it's so hot anyway, instead of water wetness it's just sweat.
