"I don't own a child." 😂 Same, Molly, same.
I was there that day, she could have borrowed mine. Lol😂
There are few things that make me laugh harder than Molly's reaction to water rides lol
“Maybe you love the feeling of you thighs chafing.” 🤣🤣🤣 I’m with you there. I enjoy them while on them. I HATE the feeling after. Last trip, we rode Popeyes way to early in the day and my poor thighs took several days to heal. Lesson learned!
Spandex biker shorts under your clothes is the answer.
except they feel awful to alot of people and the material feels suffocating@@queenmakesamess473
If I had the power to magically dry myself off right after, I'd probably actually be willing to go on water rides. But I don't and I hate the feeling of wet clothes on my body so I refuse to go on them.
The sacrifices made in the name of science. Impressive dedication to your craft! 🙌🏼😁
Molly is too funny when she has to ride a water ride. I appreciate this video as I have motion sickness if I even watch a carousel! So I know what to stay away from. Thanks Molly, I love being in the Mamfam 😊
I was watching Molly walk through the Kong queue, and it made me think maybe we need a claustrophobic rating on the rides/queues. That would be helpful.
You have a great point. I have mild claustrophobia and the Hagrid's queue got me a few times with all the dark, narrow, windy stone corridors.
I hear you on this one. The claustrophobia gets me on quite a few queues to the point where i nearly have a panic attack when i finally get on the ride😢. Avatar gets me and all the star wars rides, it's all the metal work and lack of sun light 😮
I love Molly's face after she gets off a water ride.
Molly could never make me nauseous…Forbidden Journey on the other hand 🥴🥴
Yea Forbidden Journey is top on my 🤮 o meter. I legit almost 🤮 on the ride, I had to close my eyes and breath deep so I wouldn’t. 😬
I got off that ride and my tummy felt real funny. I didn't barf but almost
@@alexandrakorngut5197 nice poetry!
“I don’t own a child” omg I laughed so hard hahahaha
I know she said that it doesn’t make her sick or anyone she knows sick but my husband is very sensitive to simulators and had a horrible time on King Kong. Looking at screens and having the vehicle move is just too much for him and so just wanted to warn any other sensitive friends ❤
I have just today introduced my Husband to Molly's disdain for water rides. He is crying 😂😂😂
We're going to Universal next month for my birthday. I take it WAY easier on rides these days than I used to. So believe it or not, this will be helpful in deciding what I wanna wait in line for.
I laughed out loud at Molly’s remark about the Dudley Doright ride vehicles… well played!
Me too 😂
Finally I've found someone who hates water rides as much as I do. I don't mind them at a water park where you're typically wearing a swimsuit but at a theme park. That soaked feeling is just super uncomfortable. You are my spirit animal on those last two rides!
I love all your universal videos! This is a good one for those of us that do get motion sickness. I think it’s hilarious that every time you ride on Hagrid‘s or speak of it you say the entire FULL NAME of the ride and add the TM at the end! Lol, nobody else does that but Molly!😂😂😂😂❤
The raptor animatronics in the Velocicoaster line are absolutely incredible. I remember getting my face as close to them as possible and thinking "this is real."
PS - I'm prone to motion sickness and Velocicoaster didn't make me sick at all. The Harry Potter ride immediately followed by Hagrid's with it's constant slowdown and speedup...I was so sick. Didn't puke but it triggered a migraine for a couple of hours.
My tummy is not a fan of simulator rides! But I will partake on occasion especially Forbidden Journey! I'm proud of you Molly for braving the water rides!
As someone with motion sickness, I appreciate this!
I occasionally get motion sick on Forbidden Journey... something that has helped is keeping my head back on the headrest as opposed to leaning forward and looking all around. If I'm starting to feel motion sick, I'll close my eyes during the screen portion. Also don't drink beer/butter beer before you ride! 🤣
Candied ginger works, dramamine, and sometimes minty gum as chewing can distract the mind.
As someone who needs to take Dramamine for every single theme park, I greatly appreciate this video. Thx Molly!!
Did Dramamine help you get through the simulation rides? I’m so worried I will ruin the fun for everyone by getting sick. Especially on the forbidden journey ride
I take Dramamine since everything gets me sick even driving sometimes. Dramamine did help a lot the only way I can do any rides. Forbidden journey does make me feel sick. I guess eating a banana helps before.
@@felvkitties8 have you tried that? The banana trick?
In my experience having my mostly grown up kids now, but growing up they were all prone to motion car sickness. We had a permeant throw up pot in the car. Having an empty stomach you are more prone to throw up. Of course, you don't want to have a super stuffed stomach and get on a roller coaster. But having a little food on your belly is actually best to not get sick. They did much better if that had a little snack before we got in the car. I googled it to see if my experience was different then others but it said:
"Believe it or not, you're more likely to become nauseated on an empty stomach, because there's nothing there to combat the stomach acid. Keep it light, but make sure it's not empty. - Avoid anything over-stimulating to the senses"
One of my best memories from my first trip to Disney is riding the tea cups with Alice! Absolutely loved it ❤I usually don’t get nauseous on rides but will still watch the video just for fun !
On forbidden journey, if you have motion, sickness, sit in either the first or the fourth seat. It actually makes a little bit of a difference in terms of the movement. I also tend to rest my head against the side of the harness to give me a little more physical stability.
For my motion sick friends: On Hagrid’s I personally felt less motion sick on the bike part on the seat than the side car. Hope this helps!
Thank you! That does help! I haven't been on that ride yet, however I really want to, but don't want to ruin my day with being sick.
@@MutantHamster12 Of course! I felt pretty much perfectly fine after riding on the bike, and a little ick after using the sidecar but overall it’s a really smooth ride! Hope you have a good time if you ever decide to go on Hagrid’s!
Awesome thank you!
I'll have to try the bike next time. I was fine till the backwards part but I still love it. Just rode once
On my trip to Disneyland I think I went on Star Tours four times!! I love the re-rideability of it. I’m super glad I don’t experience motion sickness from it!!
Molly, you aren’t imagining things. Cat In the Hat used to spin a lot more than it does now. I remember when Universal mentioned they were taming that ride down to make it more “kid” friendly.
Absolutely love your long form content! keep up the great work
Loved this, usually try to watch right before bed and I always go to bed smiling. Surely makes for a happy life, thanks MAM
11:18 Nailed it!!! i have tried to explain WHY this makes me soooo sick to family n friends ...
u totally explained each reason!!!
I'm loving all the Universal videos! Just returned from there last week. Ready to go back!
Love your Universal content! Thank you!
i love you videos so much. i’ve recently started watching you in the beginning of june excited for my disney / universal trip in 2 weeks
Yay!!! You did it! ❤❤❤. Proud of you 👍🏽
Thank you! I really can't handle Forbidden Journey and friends and family say I'm faking. NOT FAKING! It really turns my stomach. Thanks for the proof I'm not alone! :) Love all your videos, Molly! (but especially the ones I can use to prove I'm right ;) )
We rode Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh with Pooh when my brother was little!!! It was such a magical moment!
Happy Friday Mam Fam 💗🧡💙 Thank you to M.A.M for another banger video!!
I close my eyes for most of the scenes, haha!! The motion can throw you off if you aren't expecting it!
Hey Molly! As always, I love your videos like this! I have chronic nausea, and have been avoiding Forbidden Journey, Jimmy Fallon, Simpsons, and Minions like the plague on days where I can't handle nausea. I just got a Reliefband for my upcoming trip and I'm hoping it helps. It would be really interesting if Reliefband could sponsor you like they do other youtubers so that you could do an honest review on rides like these. :) Keep the content coming. I'm sure disney goers would love to see a series like this too. I love Mammoth Club!
My 80 year old Mom loves Forbidden Journey. My whole family loves it which I was surprised by, because it's literally the definition of a topsy-turvy ride. Somehow I never get sick on it, which again is surprising to me. Love the detail and all the Harry Potterness .😅
as someone who also HATES water rides, i would absolutely enjoy a video like this with a "wet-meter" for all of the water rides in disney/universal. some of the water rides i rly wanna go on but im not willing to find out for myself :,(
I’m almost certain she did this video! I think it was just the universal rides
Ok, yes! She did! It’s on AllEars channel and it’s “ranking the theme park rides I hate the most”. She does a splash rating for wetness on every universal water ride!
@@RistrettoReader thank you so much!!
they have stations where you can dry yourself off. its literally that simple
The perfect start to my Friday!
Molly your water ride content is by far some of the funniest stuff. Thank you for sacrificing for the people. If you ever make it back to seaworld orlando (which you should because there is a very good coaster themed to sharks) please ride infinity falls (which you will hate) and also timber mountain log ride at Knotts (which you might think is okay)
The Universal videos are some of my very favorite! I do get kinda nauseous on simulators, but Forbidden Journey doesn't affect me at all (as a hugeee Harry Potter fan, I'm thrilled about this)! In fact, I rode it multiple times in a row on my solo trip to Universal because the line was so short and I was totally fine! Surprisingly, the Hulk was the one that did me in 😮💨
Same, I struggle with some simulators but I'm fine on Forbidden Journey, I think because the movement of the cars match what's happening on screen a lot better than some (Simpsons 🤢)
40:57 yep that one messed up my whole day...i never felt the sickness go away.
Molly, you are always a good sport !!! I hope nobody ever suggests that you do all of the water rides in Disney and Universal while having nothing to eat but donuts and hot dogs !!! That would be a terrible day, for you !!! Thank yoh for all of the information and the entertainment.
I saw you at IOA as you were getting on Velocicoaster. I was in the yellow t-shirt. I am from Australia & your videos helped us a lot. Thank you.
Props to you Molly!
I can't wait to ride Bluto's next month. It was closed for our first ever visit in early March. We enjoyed the parks and chose to upgrade to passes. My favorite ride at DCA was Grizzly River Run, until Mission Breakout opened. I love a good raft ride. We thought the one at Sea World Orlando was amazing, best ride in their park. Duddley's is super uncomfortable. My oldest daughter loved it, but it was not comfy. We are a family of 5 though, so at least there were no strangers in our boat.
“I’m going back up!!!” Instantly knew what movie you were quoting. 😂
I have to load up on Dramamine for Harry Potter which lowers it to a 9. A lady next to me in line asked if it made me sleepy and I said, “well, sure, I’m a little sleepy talking to you but I’m assuming the adrenaline from the ride will perk me up. It’s unlikely I’ll fall asleep with dementors coming at me!”
Hulk gets me soooo dizzy! I can never ride it more than twice in a row.
Thanks Molly. Fun day (4 me😅). Except 4 teacup-style rides, I don't get nauseous. I stay onsite, ride water rides and then go to hotel
Hats off to whoever does your editing. Hilarious!
😊😊❤ just watched the video… So Great !!!!.. The Drinks and food look so delicious 😊😋
In expedition, Everest, I got mildly queasy and had to sit with a bubbly soda. After Hagrid, I got so ill I actually lost my breakfast. It is the only ride on my recorded history in which I actually did lose my stomach. I loved it up until the backwards point, but that jist did me in.
Same. I still like it even though the backwards made me feel sick
I get motion sickness so I am so thankful for these videos. During smugglers I did ok since I could look at my feet. But still felt woozy. I am bummed all the HP rides I won't get to do but I will be excited to be there
i barely get motion sick and smugglers was awful for me
Another great video! Can you please do a video like this one at Disney World? Thanks, Mammoth Club!
i'm totally with you on those water rides molly. i refuse to do them!
I love Veloricoaster but can get motion sick on a merry go round. 😝 The water rides at universal do make you soaked but the are so fun. I alway enjoy them but I know I must go prepared because it is like Molly said- it like you jumped in a pool with your clothes on. Just a FYI- I am a Gen Xer, which makes my enjoyment of the water rides a bit funny. I am a kid at heart!
I’m going to Florida in September and your videos have been such a great help with planning around the park. Please can you do this challenge at the Walt Disney parks as well
I’ve heard at Kong they bypass the beginning outside portion when the line is long to help decrease the wait time. I’ve only been one it once (it was the newest ride at the park at the time) it had a 120 min wait and they bypassed the outside portion. So it definitely does happen.
Hi Molly I’m avid fun of yours you made me smile and made my day !!My husband and I love amusement parks and we love lots of rides and not scared of heights 😀Suggestion if you don’t mind I’m from Michigan why don’t you go to Cedar point and Kings Island lots of fun and rides 😃❤️Thank you for giving us lots of ideas keep up the good work❤❤❤
The sacrifices made for the Mamfam is why Molly is a hero
14:53
lol, I can not believe I have never made that connection before. That's actually pretty funny.
Love your nail color!❤
It’s fascinating cause I’m ok with forbidden journey but hulk destroys me. I leave feeling sooooo nauseous and dizzy! So many loops destroy me! That’s why I prefer coasters with mostly drops.
Me too!
I swear I pass out almost every time I ride hulk. I feel ya 🤣
I'm a coaster enthusiasts and hulk is the only ride that makes me dizzy lol
Hulk actually made me vomit. Is there any other rides at Islands of Adventure that does this to you?
I can actually handle hulk. Kumba in BGT is the B&M looper that makes me really dizzy. Although forbidden journey makes me absolutely nauseous
I just found this channel and loving it! OMG I was laughing so hard… don’t be weirded out, but I would seriously love to hang out with you😳🤣🤣🤣
My top three on the barf-o-meter at Uni/Islands are: Simpsons, Jimmy Fallon, and Forbidden Journey. For some reason Spiderman isn't as bad for me. I do recommend always keeping your head facing forward on the simulator rides as turning your head around looking at everything tends to make it worse!
My daughter and I were there the same day. I didn’t see you though. It was a great day. We walked on everything. She is 5 so we didn’t do Velocicoaster, Hagrid, Doom, or Hulk though. Love your content
I did pretty well on all of the rides, but that Caro-seuss-el got me! lol
As someone who is good friends with Dramamine, this video is very appreciated. 😁
Hi Molly! Next time you do a nausea rating on rides can you also include whether there are any hard-lurch stops? For example, on Everest at the end there’s a hard stop where you get pushed forwards and then you do a hard lunch backwards. THAT is what will make me barf more than anything else on a ride. That is the reason I find Harry Potter and other simulators hard because that kind of forward/stop/backward motion happens throughout the ride as you go in and out of scenes! It’s the same kind of feeling if you’re in a car and you do a hard stop and then slide back if that helps describe the feeling. Anyone else find this is what makes them the most sick? I’m in Ontario, Canada and we have Canada’s wonderland and most of the roller coasters end that way and I’ve been on multiple rides where that’s where people actually throw up!
Ridden forbidden journey once... ended up stuck at an angle facing the floor for a good half hour, didnt want to barf. Just ended up very sore and walking funny for the rest of the day
I hope they made it up to you! That sounds miserable.
Forbidden Journey gets me.. EXACTLY like you explained it.
Molly makes the best videos with amazing feedback! Also I feel the need to say I feel like Dr. Doom’s Fear Fall is the worst attraction with the best queue ever 😂 I also think Dudley Do-Right is amazing! Incredibly immersive
Completely unrelated side note. .. 😲 that motorized scooter in the beginning is FLYING! I think "The Family" got there hands on that one 😆🤣
Thank you for your bravery doing all of them and now I will avoid Dudley do-right at all costs as someone touching me in the hot sun is a 10
On my Barg meter
Interestingly enough, I have had motion sickness issues with rides for awhile, and I find eating prior improves my symptoms🤔. Not to mention I have made Dramamine a must as part of my theme park days. Maintaining good hydration is a must as well.
I think there's a happy medium where having something in your stomach helps, but not too much food or anything greasy/spicy etc.
I was waiting on a friend to get off Forbidden Journey right at the exit once. Two girls came off and one of them just dropped to the ground in a faint. Luckily she didn’t hit her head and came to pretty quickly, but obviously it can be pretty hard on some people.
Sneaking in a Titanic ref on One Fish, Two Fish was *chef’s kiss*. 💦
We love your Honey Dukes shirt.
I love the Slytherin selfie hehehehe
Fun fact: Cat in the Hat absolutely used to spin more. Maybe 4-5 years ago they put it in B mode cause they can't get any replacement parts. The manufacturer went out of business. So. It's in B mode to extend the life!
Not me already getting motion sick just watching the footage of her walking through the line for Hagrids
After an incident with my cousins when I was very young I avoid all teacup like rides like the plague. Seriously still remember how they spun that teacup around as fast as they could. I cannot handle rides that spin and spin the ride vehicles at the same time at all.
45:17 Spiderman neeeeeds barf bags ON the ride. i had to close my eyes and consentate on breathing and i sang a song in my head to distract myself from getting sick...
Last time I was at universal, we got stuck on forbidden journey. When the ride resumed, the screens weren’t working, so we were just moving around topsey turvey in front of blank screens and I did feel a little sick when that happened!
We also got stuck on the mummy (in the flame room) and hagrids motorbike adventure (right after the track drops), it was odd we got stuck on so many things!
Good morning, Mam Fam!
I need an Epcot episode of this!!!
Got my Dramamine so let's go!
omg I love the king Kong ride
The Hulk soundtrack for the coaster literally makes this ride my favorite coaster still in Florida.
My husband gets motion sick on pretty much everything so I’m not sure why he likes going other than the theming. We are huge Jurassic Park fans. I cried going through the gates and hearing the music.
As always, we thank you for enduring these rides to help us in the future!! 🩵
Ugh, Forbidden Journey. I’m okay - I don’t get motion sick - but the first time I ever rode it, I got off, went down the travelator thing and promptly got vomited on by a young boy just in front of me who stopped at the bottom and projectiled everywhere. That was a less than enjoyable experience! 🤢
One of my favourite rides is the popeye ride. I don't like the feel afterwards. But I laugh sooo hard on that ride. The first time we rode it for our first time in universal in 2014 someone paid to squart the water and just had a vendetta for my husband which was hilarious and then the second time we rode it on our most recent trip we had the ride to ourselves and we got absolutely drenched and it was hilarious. I don't know why but that ride makes me laugh sooo hard 😂😂😂
it’s so funny how molly says the entire name “Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure” don’t for the “tm”
Hulk is my favorite in Islands of Adventure. I would love Volocicoaster more of it had over the shoulder harnesses instead of the weird seat. I hate lifting up out of the seat o coaster that intense!
Omg, the first time I was at universal since I was there as a kid, I rode forbidden journey 3 times in a row. 0/10 would never do again, I didn’t eat all night 😵💫
This is highvalue content
