I’d love to see you (and possibly Alan and Max) try different popular motion sickness remedies and then test them out by riding a barfy ride. May the best barf preventer win!!?? 😷💊 You all ride once with no remedy, then you each try a different remedy and ride again to compare. Could be helpful as well as entertaining?

This video is very informative, thank you! Please do it again for IoA. Also, I had a giggle at "kids don't get motion sick", because I was definitely very motion sick as a kid, but it's much better as an adult. Also a lot depends on food, don't just not eat before the big rides, but you shouldn't go on a really empty stomach either. At least for me, there is a sweet spot for eating and rides!

Dehydration or blood sugar problems make all the difference. I have basically had perpetual blood sugar problems for about a few months before my most recent trip to WDW and Universal. No rides had ever made me feel sick before. I was the most motion-sick of the family on that trip. I was feeling it for HOURS after Spider-Man

I think it has to do with the difference between sickness from the screens and sickness from the motion itself. I get really sick from the motions of ride vehicles, but the screens don't necessarily make it worse. On the flip side, some people are fine with the motion if there aren't screens involved

Your video concepts are so creative Molly! Keep up the amazing work! You probably already know about it but just in case, I get very bad motion sickness and they sell ginger gum at CVS or Walgreens that's really helped me. I just pop a piece (or two) before going on any rides that I think will give me nausea. It's worked great and doesn't cause drowsiness like dramamine can.

Minions can be tough. I would put it at a 7.5. My kid want to go every time. Some suggestions:
    1. If you get motion sick, sit on the end of your vehicle. When you feel sick, look at the ride vehicle next to you. Your mind will sync up with your body. It is better than closing your eyes.
    2. It can be tough in stationary too, as you are in the very front row and looking up. I actually find it easier in a ride vehicle.

I usually take a 12 hour dramamine before heading into the parks. It takes a little bit of the edge off. I am able to feel it coming on and if I close my eyes, I can get through it. Then when we get off the ride, my family is like, did you see the part where such and such happened? And I'm like, no, my eyes were closed. But that's fine. I can ride Hulk 3 times in a row but I will barf after Jimmy Fallon and Simpsons! The backwards on the Mummy is within my threshold of going backwards and it doesn't make me sick. Never been on the Jimmy Fallon ride, but I just went to the NBC studios in NYC to see a taping of Seth Meyers. It's the same waiting area for Jimmy Fallon, and I will say, the ride queue did a good job with capturing what that area looks and feels like. Minus the live singers. They even gave us tickets and called us according to letters on the tickets. Some pretty cool details for a meh attraction lol.

The fact that I freaked out when the screen showed us going into the clown's mouth on the Simpsons ride ON MY LITTLE LAPTOP SCREEN, just tells me that I will not be able to handle the real thing. Thank you for making this video lol.

As someone prone to motion sickness, the screens out the windows of the Hogwarts Express can give mild queasiness. I'm a huge Harry Potter fan but I looked away from the windows part way through for this reason which really took away a lot of the experience. So I would have to give it a 5 on the barf -o-meter.

Love this episode. Thanks so much. We are going there next year, that should help my wife decide which attractions to maybe skip.

I used to ride ET at Universal Hollywood. It’s been a long 14 years since I’ve been to Universal Orlando and going back December 2023 and can’t wait for that familiar ET smell to smack me in the face!!!! I miss it so.
