As an ultra-runner I would like to state that Zach looks nothing like the other 99.9% of ultra-runners. I must admit he looks like he could do with some vitamin D but that just the way the dude looks. Just look runners like Jurek, Goggins, Dean K all look good and have been smashing it for years. Also Ultra-runners won't die any earlier, they'll be healthier than most people. I see runners at 24 hour races in there 50s 60s 70s still kicking ass. Some very ignorant comments.

I use to do kickboxing and boxing, they would make us train bare foot inside the gym even in the boxing class ( it was more of a martial arts gym that had a boxing and kickboxing class rather then a straight up boxing gym ) but anyway after a couple years of not doing it anymore I notice my feet feel way weaker when I am not wearing shoes. Cool story hey

Thanks Joe for this interview. I'm a long distance runner looking into Keto, this helped much. And for all the folks who bitch about his appearance : grow the fuck up. He looks like an endurance athlete who's spends a lot of time outside and is probably 90% more healthy then all you negative internet trolls who comment via the free McDonalds WiFi.

Great podcast. The inability to make eye contact was distracting though 😕

That thing about humans loving that challenge after the physical pain subsides I totally get that with my skateboarding I get sore jumping down stairs and then decide I’ll never skate stairs again and then come back 3 days later and try to backside 180 it it’s addicting
