This claim is erroneous. Please do some research on monetary economics. The number 1 issue is no definite correlation between the two values. You see very high correlation to the Russian ruble and oil prices. Same with Saudi dollar. Same with many others. Keep coming up with strange quasi economics if you’d like, but the US dollar is a DebtDollar. Every dollar is associated with a dollar of debt, not any amount of oil. No sir, your biggest fear should be precisely where you are reading this right now. Google, Facebook, and Twitter (and all of their assorted platforms) are the greatest collection of open source intelligence in the world, and the data is provided by we the people. Furthermore, corporations like Google, Facebook, Apple, and Twitter make up their own rules for data governance (to be fair to Apple, they value privacy highly). The US government, in comparison, has rules to follow that are enforced by law. Palantir does not buy, create, own, or sell data. A major reason why the United States discouraged nuclear power is because of the formation of the Petrodollar in the 1970s.
Wow! Nice observation
Nixon did not end the gold-backed for the oil-backed.
Oil was more useful. We did not have any conception of a small battery for complex consumer electronics. Oil reserves were also being discovered due to innovations in the sector- partially driven by the embargo driving up the price.
@@Bailey_iQ pls don't call names like quasi economics. You only ridicule yourself by doing it.
Basic economics states that when demand of a currency increases, the price of that currency tend to increase or stays strong. Oil purchases over the world started to be done in USD. World usage of oil is high and it happens all over the world allowing the USD to stay/become the main subjective unit of value for international trade. No need for gold settlement anymore. No worries about trade deficit and gold shortages. Just change the USD bill to in God we trust instead of redeemable by gold.
About nuclear energy being suppressed because of this, who knows. It could be as it makes sense. But i doubt anyone has definitive proof for this. Even so, it leaves space for speculation allowing us to understand historical events better.

For example, you will make the claim that social media is the culprit for the current state of society. I say that it is people who use the internet improperly are to blame. The user decides what to watch, what to like, what to view, what to buy, etc. It's not the internet's fault.
Do you understand?
@@FxOptions-t7uI agree. Do guns kill people or do people kill people?
Not sure what is wrong about using machine learning to prevent and fight crime/terrorism. They are doing it evidently in an efficient way and without wasting taxpayers' money, so kudos to them.
@Johnny_Savage could it be that they are using it to influence you? Google is currently influencing us every time we use it. Believe it or not.
Ya, what could go wrong with preemptive crime fighting, with no crime that has been committed, but "we know you were thinking about it, so to prison you go." Ya, not a world I see as being
Fair or just. Slippery slope.
I love how Rogan debates with Thiel like a 4th grader arguing with their dad
500K or a million K
I think joe won the debate tbh, especially at the end with AI.
Idk Joes arguments sounded way better than his. Thiel couldn’t say one sentence without saying umm 2 times and thiel sounded unsure and unconfident in everything he said when they would debate. Plus sometimes it seemed like he was struggling to come up with something to say to joes arguments
@@moviesynopsis001won the debate 💀
Was embarrassing listening to.
3 hours of propaganda and shaping the narrative 😩
Welcome to the Joe Rogan Experience....
So just another episode then
Joe is owned. It is so obvious.
Gone are the days when rich Americans cared about the country. Now they make a quick buck and bail like rats from a sinking ship 🤮
Rich Gay German born American (Thiel) who created JD Vance and HATES paying US taxes. What a great guy!
That's capitalism 😂😂 get good. Fall in line. Or fall off😂
That's why they call it GLOBALISTS and not Americanists. The elites have been disconnected from national frameworks for a long time now. Just something to think about for you...
🇺🇸s are by nature disloyal. They each abandoned one nation previously, and so they’ll each do it again!
The people of said nation are by nature disloyal. They abandoned a country once, they’ll do it again!
The way Thiel ends the conversation by expounding on one of his opening sentences feels next level regardless of if he did it on purpose or not.
"I talk about it all the time, but talk is often a substitute for action."
I wish Whitney Webb was there to ask questions.
Lol. Bots trying to get their owners mentioned in the comments as many times as possible, in hopes Joe sees it and brings them on, as if Rogan actually reads any of this.
@@bodragon4582 she’s a liberal hack on DNCs payroll
@notkimraikkonen wtf are you talking about? Whitney Webb is a journalist. Peter Theil is the one with massive money, connections, and in tech.. tech specifically in the realm of data collection and creepy back door manipulation. If anyone owns bots, it's him.
@ianhamilton639 I also made a comment about Joe probably never having Whitney and a bunch of bots replied negatively about her... crazy stuff, she is just a journalist that brings receipts for a change.
Hahaha. For reals
Imagine this guy and Elon Musk in a conversation.
No thanks .. takes forever for both of them to finish a sentence and when they do it’s difficult to find any value in it
They used to work together at PayPal. Thiel fired Musk. They're friends now though.

PayPal Mafia
I feel the need to drink water when I hear Peter talk.
I couldint imagine listening with headphones.
It’s so gross 🤮
Adderall brain
JFC the dry mouth in the microphone
The amount of times I thought my phone shut off or paused during this video is insane.
DJ Thiel on the 1s and 2s
the paypal pause. Elon has it.
The sound of high level information processing
I couldn’t finish the whole thing, the dude studders so much, he can’t get a thought out clearly
@@gortmogyou’d think right? But nah this guy was realizing his info was outdated and he’s been in a yea-sayer bubble. He’s out of practice with the type of critical thinking one should expect of a top 40 CEO and (self-promoted) culture warrior.
I hope Joe pushes Thiel on his various connections to our intelligence community and MIC. Doubt he will tho.
oc he wont
He's like Trump... the fact that anyone thinks these most powerful people in the system are "against the system" is so crazy to me!
This guy is the ClA in a nutshell and this is who yall want in the Whitehouse
Joe definitely won't ask about his Zionist connections either.
@@Dickson421 He’d never get saucy with a Republican Megadonor.
Not sure why the top comments are so mad. Thiel was a very interesting guest with a lot of unique commentary. Very good episode.
You need to wake up
Wouldn’t mind a Joe Rogan pod where I can skip Joe Rogan
“Some of my billionaire friends”
Possibly the most out of touch sentence ever 😂
@@thescoobymike🤣🤣🤣real
Joe has been ✌️compromised✌️😉 💰
We could have them things if it wasn't for the military industrial gods and big three and oil and pharma .and the corrupt ama
🎯🎯
He has not, really. Hes too much of an average good guy to sit tight and be manipulated like that. He has his opinions and politics but I dont think its anything serious.
It can be hard "to take steps", but most of us just want to make sure that they're the right steps.
Ah yes the fed who sells facial recognition technology to the NSA and CIA I’m sure he’ll be asked plenty of hard hitting questions
I mean you kinda have to play ball to get guests like this on, and maybe you get 2 or 3 openings to really crack open the facade. If you aggressively interrogate these kinds of faceless names, they will merge back into the abyss and you will only ever hear of them from time to time
My favorite line is when he said he leans more towards libertarian. The sister company of Palantir is like the ultimate AI drone company
@@Art-bk6vv you can casually ask about his connections. Joes done it before. He picks and chooses when to do it
Rogan is weak, and not too bright.
Joe only grills people who are funnier or depend on his podcast. Guy is an autistic billionaire vampire, he won't agree to hard hitting questions
If corporate money shapes politics, they need to see that they caused the problem. They take profits offshore and spend money on their hobby projects. Stop blaming poor people. Time for a change.
They know it, dude!
The poor will be always with us, it's just a matter of quality & relative difference to the average & the top
@@GodsOwnPrototype no man, no one on this country needs to go without. The gov't missuses all of our money we have more than enough to help every legal citizen.
No one is blaming poor people for anything. Left-wing corporate money ruined San Francisco and its politics, thank Google and Apple etc. Peter is in many ways opposed to the leftist tech money that has shaped and ruined politics in California.
@@BB-848-VACour largest expenses BY FAR are welfare programs
I’m surprised no one spoke about JD Vance in this interview.
why
@@LOGYBEATShe gave Vance 15 million for his campaign to get into office in Ohio.
Extremely disappointing, but to be fully expected.
Are you shocked?? You need to watch Whitney Webb and you'll understand Joe is bought and paid for. Podcasts don't pay.
I just came here to say the amount of times Peter says uh and umm is driving me crazy.
If I have kids, how would I have the time to listen to 8 hours of podcasts everyday?
Dont 😂
Have one bluetooth headphone in.
Peter Theil probably got Joe Rogan on the "disedent citizen list"🤣
No kidding

Joe, you need to schedule Amit Kukreja to talk about Palantir!
🎉🎉🎉yes
Whitney webb!
And then have tannor on for sofi while ur at it !

Has Joe ever had Robert Edward Grant on his podcast? If not I would encourage him to extend an invitation
This is like Taylor Swift dropping an album but for Techbros.
Who?
Not really, this interview is monumentally boring.

as soon as PT started talking about how national debt works, I could tell Joe had no idea what was being discussed and would try to ask "do you think monkeys did drugs" asap....
Same thing happened with the science and social contract discussion
What the dude was saying is wildly wrong and 5 minutes after this came out economists have written articles about how badly wrong he is
😂😂😂 that's definitely his go to
He's an idiot for sure
But also Peter didn't get to the heart of what was really asked, which is, who do we owe money to, and who exactly is stopping us from borrowing more?
