Hi Robin, I love your videos! Thank you for making them, you're a blessing. I was wondering if you could make a video on the theme of being overly aware of your own consciousness/feeling of being alive/in your own head if that makes sense? My DPDR anxieties were quite external about the world but have recently come back as quite internal based and I really am not sure how to deal with it. Thanks Robin xx

thank u for this tip, i’ll definitely try it!! I also wanted to ask if you have any more tips on being more carefree, i’ve been really anxious with making any small decisions because im worried it’ll be the wrong one or it will lead to something bad but I want to be more carefree with my choices without overthinking

Does any one have Tips for driving? It’s been a year since I got caught in DPDR. I’m recovered about 70%.. but driving still freaks me out.

Totally agree! I read the funniest book I have ever encountered while suffering from DPDR/anxiety/depression and I found that I was able to laugh and become inmersed and distracted.
Similarly, the TV series "The Bear" took me out of my state and I could laugh and cry watching good people strive for what they cared about.

@@AnaLiana-wr6qo It will go! Accept, surrender to it (that doesn't mean AGREE with it!) Just accept the experience, even laugh! Tell it "kill me if you want! I don't care!". Try Robin's morning routine, be gentle with yourself, be compassionate with yourself, don't put excessive demands on yourself, but do try to go on living your life, gently. Take care of your mind, don't consume useless and/or harmful content and treat disturbing and useless thoughts as just noise. You have nothing to fear, believe me. This too shall pass.
Remember, with or without DPDR, live your life, express yourself however you want and do whatever your Will dictates!
You are going to be dancing sooner than you think ❤

If I were to laugh at someone else because they had a problem it would be disrespectful. Why should I be dismissive of my problems and pretend like they are not a problem. Isn't this just avoiding the issue?

That's exactly what I described in the video if you listened to it :) you're not dismissing things by finding humor in the existential rumination. You're simply lightening your perception on something you can't control. There's a difference between laughing it off or shrugging it off, and acknowledging your emotions but being able to laugh sometimes with these things you don't have control over.
Play and humor can actually be great tools in regulating yourself again. Animals do it too

@@diartahazrolli9411have you recovered fully? Because I am also in that phase of derealization that I feel detached from life. I don’t have existential fears or questions but I can’t feel connected to people and my surroundings. Can you feel? If yes what did you do?
