Your assistant adds a lot to your video😄. She's definitely a keeper 😉. Viewers will be asking where she is at if she is not at your side🤗👍. You make a great team and very educational videos 👍
One of my roommates just bought a tabletop nugget ice maker and I guessed it had a reversing valve in it because before and after the ice slides off there's a really hard click and the compressor stays running. You confirmed my guess.
If you don't mind me asking how old are you because you are very knowledgeable man it's great to see younger guy's like you who are so well trained and knowledgeable keep up the great work
today i learned ice machines use hot gas to loosen the ice - always thought they used resistance heaters like domestic fridge ice makers do. thank u for this video.
Hello , did you encounter of the ice machine compressor was getting cold ang sweating , after one harvest the compressor will trip and will appear alarm highpresaure ? For scotchman mv1000
Cool Video, Im not a Big fan of those scottsman Ice machines, I had 9 Of those I kept running at a comedy club I worked for. I prefer the Manitowoc slab style machines, I have an Old 30 YO servend I saved from the trash 20 years ago that still makes ice In my Barn to this day. Fun ;-)
Scotsman has to be the most frustrating ice machine, even putting one back together can be a headache. The only thing worse to deal with is a flaker or under the counter machine.
Hi Bro, I am asking your kind advice on Ice maker problem. When ever we move the machine it always decrease and stop producing. Does the additional water pump affect the cycle? Only some parts of the line gets icy. Please give me advice how to troublshot. Best regards, Yared
I’m actually found a similar problem on a reach in freezer hot gas valve is leaking causing it not to drop below 33 degrees. I also thought it was the compressor going bad
How do u adjust that timer ? I have a smaller version of that ice maker. Everything inside looks the same besides mine only has one panel that makes ice. Iv got a problem with the water always coming on and it won’t make ice. I have to have the valve on water just barely open if not it runs way to much water
Hey Reuben, I have an LG water inlet valve assembly that I'm assuming has a bad solenoid going to the ice maker, since the water dispenser still flows. I'm not blaming the actual ice maker yet. There are 3 EMI suppression thin film capacitors wired into the wire harness. If one of those fails, (I'm assuming a failure would disrupt continuity) could it be the reason why the solenoid doesn't work and the solenoid is actually fine? Maybe someone smarter than me could just test the capacitors and replace the bad one?
Mine makes ice but takes for ever to drop and sometimes it won't drop the little rod that pushes it out is stuck out out and it goes back to making ice again
Awsssm any contact number I have question today I worked on this machine first facing. Always worked on hoshazaki . I know it’s gona help me a lot tomorrow to fix hot gas valve I think it’s it’s stuck . Thanks 😊
that machine is like 25-30 years old....scotsman CM series from the mid 90's...time to scrap that pile of 💩 and get a more modern energy efficient machine that is more sanitary and produces ice faster
No kidding, tell that to Scotsman. 😂 I was surprised by the amount the name plate calls for, and that's about what I recovered so it's true, it takes 21 lbs.
Damn this guy knows his business! Looks so young tho! That's awesome to see somebody that age with knowledge

Well thank you! I appreciate the compliment. I have attained the ripe age of twenty two.
I always enjoy the before and after...for learning purposes!
Keep it up with moee educational tech vids. U have earned a new subscriber today...🇿🇲

You're welcome! I am glad that I was able to teach you something! 😁
The very old ice makers used to use resistance heaters
Good job man looks like you have put a lot of dedication at so young age you know your things 👍👍
I love your explanations. Very simple! Keep it up
Man that was awesome, love to see more videos 😮
Thank you
I learnt Hot gas defrost connection through your post
You’re a super tech dude 🔥
good job, nice to have young man expert .
Thanks man I'm the only one that cleans the ice machine so this helps especially if the machine so wack
Hey, have you ever had to repair a water pressure regulator on a Manitowoc
Had a Hoshi machine with a bad HG valve. Steam was pouring out of the machine! 😀
Great video! What manufacture is this machine

Good job. Great knowledge. Please keep posting videos.

Hi where to buy replacement solenoid valve?

The ice machines service don't have that knob for Manuel defrost

Mine gets extremely hot inside the ice compartment, but when I pulled the valve, the valve can't be blown through. Thoughts?
I have an ice machine same as the one in ur video it keeps making thin ice I already changed the filter and same results
Hello Reuben can u explain me,Is there any separate hotgas filled in machine or the same compressor release hot gas
It is the same gaseous refrigerant, just being sent to the evaporator instead of the condenser.
Thanx for taking the time. Great vid
Good job Reuben..
Hi there! I am a manitowoc u0240w user.
My ice machine keep giving hot gas and won’t stop after ice being harvested. Do you have any idea of why?
Yep! Sounds to me like it has a bad solenoid that is partially stuck in the open position, or the coil has power when it shouldn't.

Great job dude! Very informative.
My ice machine turns on and starts cooling the water and then trips the power. Where can i start looking for the problem?
Now I know a little bit more thanks
keep up the good work Rueben:)
Do you work on hoshazaki ice machines ? KM-1340MRH
Nice job 👍
Thanks
Nice job bro
Every morning there is one beep sounds , I almost to to reset everyday … is that happen to u ?
Very sharp
Good video
I was given a free ice machine. I may have made a mistake taking it not being a refrigeration guy🤔

21 lbs sounds a little too much.
