So nice to watch somebody experience this song forgot the first time. Agree with all of your (humorously apologetic) observations and laughed because I was thinking about Deep Purple too. My uncle played me some of their stuff when I was maybe 14 and I ended up listening to a classic rock station for a couple of years in the morning on the drive to work. Matt Belamys father was in the Tornadoes who were the first English band to have a no 1 in the states and UK at the same time. The beginning of the track sounds like Telstar his dad's song. When matt grew up he had all the best musicians on the planet go round his house to see his dad and learnt the guitar that way. His idol is Tom Morello and I was lucky enough to see them on stage together at West Hams ground a couple of years back. When I heard Tom was the support I nearly shit in my paints I was so excited. I'd already seen RATM so knew just how good he is.
Animated...You should try the song Live. It's more complex with added riff offs and they at an outro that banging and different for every live they do of the song. And on their many world tours they play this song and almost exclusively their final song. So you can imagine that they give their FULLness to the their final live performances.
Boy I wish you were watching the video for this. You must do it in your own time. It's just incredible. Suits the music perfectly. Spaghetti western indeed.
I started watching your channel starting with the Pneuma live reaction, and I've been going down the rabbit hole since. I love your videos. It had been a couple since I listened to Tool, and I want to thank you for reviving that love of music. Your interpretation is so refreshing. Thank you. My dad had the 45 of Telstar (flip side Jungle Fever, iirc), so when I bought the Muse album on the strength of the vampire baseball song, this was a beautifully wrapped surprise. Cheers!
He has a bass guitar with 2 necks, one is A regular bass guitar and the other one has a mitty pad where you strong and well essentially the same thing for where the strings wouldpressed I don't know what it's called but it's an amazing thing you can see it on Saturday night live when they do madness so it's literally both of those things
Fell in love with this song on GH3 still standing as my favorite Muse song. Their new album is dope though very heavy
One of the funnies songs to play in Guitar Hero.. I loved it
YES on Deep Purple! I am a bit older than you and had the same thought.
FYI, this is one of the all time best known rock anthems.
Wow nice! I've been waiting for this track for years! So happy, about to begin! Good stuff Mr
Animated...You should try the song Live. It's more complex with added riff offs and they at an outro that banging and different for every live they do of the song. And on their many world tours they play this song and almost exclusively their final song. So you can imagine that they give their FULLness to the their final live performances.
Def still here! I highly recommend Plug In Baby by Muse too. Wondrous song from a wonderful band.
Boy I wish you were watching the video for this. You must do it in your own time. It's just incredible. Suits the music perfectly. Spaghetti western indeed.
The first time I heard this song was live at Reading Festival in 2006, still gives me goose bumps to this day!
Is it just me, or does this song sound like a desperate last cavalry charge? 10/10, would ride to my death again.
I only just found your channel and I love you so much already!
I'm screeming soo glad you got to enjoy this track
Once Upon a Time in The West... Harmonica's theme... They play the theme before transitioning to the song during live shows... And it's amazing
Simply the result of three master musicians coming together.
IIRC this is an homage to the track Telstar by The Tornados, and George Bellamy (Matt Bellamy’s father) was a member of that band
Good memories playing this on guitar hero back in the day!! Aloha
I started watching your channel starting with the Pneuma live reaction, and I've been going down the rabbit hole since. I love your videos. It had been a couple since I listened to Tool, and I want to thank you for reviving that love of music. Your interpretation is so refreshing. Thank you. I do have a request: Dear Agony, Breaking Benjamin. You treat the vocalist as an instrumentalist, and I believe you would appreciate that performance. Thank you for all of your videos.
One of the best Tracks to come out of the naughties. Definitely one of my favorite songs of all time!
I'm still here.
YESSSS MORE MUSE!! Even with how popular they’ve become, I really think they’re still underrated. The way they have themes/concepts to every album, even incorporating orchestral score! The musicianship they all have! The guitar playing is amazing! The growth they’ve gone through for their most recent album! Def check out more of them! Their albums are really meant to be digested as a whole! ❤️
I love love love the production on their albums!
Heck yeah, great discovery through Guitar Hero.
I watch loads, never comment, but I just wanted to say a) love your stuff, and b) this, live, is one of the best rushes ever
Hey Geebz. Found your channel a few days ago and it's truly a fantastic way to find new music. Coupled with your analysis i don't think it can get much better than this. I saw that you do a lot of rock/metal reaction videos and i'd like to suggest "Long Distance Calling - The Nearing Grave/Fire in the Mountain". Keep at it man, i love it.
Hell yeah, Geebz, getting to the good stuff!
Muse is always a fave, they never disappoint, especially live.
This was awesome!! Please keep having fun with what you do in the channel, cause it's also fun for me 🤩
Saw this live. The crowd went absolutely mental!
Absolutely amazing song from beginning to end.
This is Literally the last song on their album... So, happy that you are getting into Muse as well. Really enjoy your comments and deComposer insights.
Dude! That middle change is a bass tapping solo!!
Some more amazing Muse songs to react to: Sing For Absolution, Starlight, Supremacy, Reapers, Unintended, Supermassive Black Hole, Madness, Dead Inside, Panic Station, New Born.
This is an all time killer song, a modern classic that kicks ass every time it's played
One of the best tracks to showcase the creativity in their song writing 🎉 Keep the reactions coming
I'm seeing Muse for the first time this Sunday!
Never realized how eclectic this song really was. Just knew it rocked. Sweeeeeet.
Def watch the live version in your free time. Their stage show is quite impressive.
I actually heard this live first before hearing studio version... Its amazing how well it translated! I might actually like it better live. Great either way though. Keep rocking Geebz!
I'm still here! Love this track, love your reaction to it.
I'm still here Geebz! 🤙
I always loved this track, it's really fun to play on bass.
Channel 4 in the UK used to have a music show that showed before School. I remember hearing this before High School one day and i couldn't focus for a whole week. They showed the Music Video too which is a trip in itself. Live: its incredible with Enio Morricones "Man with a Harmonica" played before hand.
To answer your question it is the Last Song on Muses First "mainstream album" with hits like Starlight and Supermassive black hole they hit Radio play like never before and sold out Wemebly Stadium (check out HAARP Live Album).
