I agree on this being their best album in many years, both in writing and production! I actually wasn't as into it on my initial listen, but it really clicked with me on the 2nd time around and has gotten better with every additional listen. Would love to see your album ranking. Keep the 7dust content coming! They deserve it.

With such a great album it would be great to hear these songs played live. Anything made in the past 13 years actually.

This was honestly a treat to watch. My favorite band and this reaction was brilliant. You got a new fan outta me! Everything you said was spot on. You know your Sevendust for sure. Love this

41:57 I had the literal exact same reaction- "oh PLEASE give me a sick solo! PLEASE!" You better believe I lost my fucking mind when one of the coolest solos I've ever heard played after the very tense bridge. No Revolution instantly became one of my favorite Sevendust songs of all time when it kicked in, I'm kinda sad they're not playing it live on their current tour.

Loved ur take on it. Sevendust is the most underrated band. I just saw them in Boise, ID. They killed it, best band to watch live!

I have loved Sevendust for a long time. While I agree, there have been some hit and misses, there have always been great stuff in there. This album though feels so different and I personally love it, yet it still keeps that Sevendust feel; but you can tell the mixing is by far so much superior to a lot of their prior albums. And it might be one of their best albums, solid all the way through honestly. I jammed to this for 3-4 weeks nonstop. Did a meet and greet with them a month ago, amazing guys. Already got tickets for another show in the area next month. Can't wait!!

You’re awesome dude🙂🤘 Watching you have the same reaction I did to the first song was really great. They could honestly make an entire album in that style, and I would love it😊

Just found your channel! Live in Iowa and work in Omaha, seen many shows at the the old Sokol Auditorium, love the venue! Just saw Sevendust with Alter Bridge at Stir and headed to Des Moines to see them with Static-X next week! Liking your take on the album!

You're talking about the Best Buy addition of "Hope & Sorrow" having two bonus tracks "Lucky One" and "Heart In Your Hands" - there's also a third I-tunes exclusive bonus track called "Disgust" that's pretty heavy!

Sevendust is a band whose music and lyrics I have a deep connection with and have for 20 years. I appreciate them and often have to keep from overselling the band to the point of doing harm. For example, I could make an abnoxious comment like "When I see online comments of people comparing them to other bands, I think they have it backward, those bands have watched Sevendust sidestage at some point at a show an have been influenced by them. Other bands sound like Sevendust."
That being said, it is always interesting to hear nuanced opinion of their work. I percieve the last three albums as a trilogy in a sense. I very much enjoy the modern sounding, layered, large soundstage. Part of me however wants to hear a stripped down, live in the practice room thing. Maybe as an interlude album before whatever their next phase might be.
I subscribed to your channel and would enjoy a ranking video for fun. I'll comment mine there if you do it :) Thanks again for this one.

I remember discovering sevendust first album. Back in the late 90’s bands would play at XGames events and I saw them live and got their first record there. I was blown away with the talent and heaviness of the songs. Their second album was even better than the first. Story of your life is probably my favorite track of theirs.

Freaking loved this album, and I loved Blood & Stone that much that I never thought I would like this one better, but man... this album has already become my fourth favorite by them, only behind Animosity, Seasons and Next. Exceeded my expectations completely.
My top 3 songs from this one are:
    1. Messenger
    2. Won't Stop The Bleeding
    3. Superficial Drug

I don't have your training, but they say Fence was the first song they wrote for this session. It might stand out as different because it was recorded seperately, or because the three songs before it just led into this a certain way. It does leave me feeling like the album is concluded on a positive note, and I want to pause for a moment to reflect.

I was listening to "Fence" earlier today - and I think I know what's bugging you about the mix. It is mixed very similar to the rest of the album - but during the verses, Morgan Rose completely stops playing cymbals. It's just kick and snare.

Three "slowish" songs in a row reduces the momentum for me. They are all solid songs alone, but in the context of the album flow I think I would leave out "Messenger".
I get the feeling that one is in there for its "Message" pun not intended, and some backstory is involved. My guess if that they write many songs that don't make the final album and someone fought for this one.

You should show this album to the two Chris', or just one. I think they would really like it. Also, you did a reaction to fence with Remote Chris. So show him the whole thing. Very excited for Lulu by the way. A terrible album, with awesome guitar riffs.
