I just bought a Ferris 300S and can attest that this is almost an exact clone beside the cell phone slot and USB ports. Also, my Ferris has arm rests where this one does not. And for anyone wondering, it’s a 10 gauge fabricated deck.
I'd consider one of the small ones, maybe the rz142,but I cant find any reviews on it. Either they aren't available or people aren't buying it. I'm kinda taken back by how much they weigh. They're a couple hundred pounds heavier than similar competitors. That says alot about build quality, but will those ezt hydros hold up?
so i have this exact model the rz152 . brand new 6.5 hours on it. unless you have a super smooth property the shocks are useless. if you have to go around obstacles likes rocks or trees and there are bumps or on any bit of an incline the mower deck cuts deeper due to the flex and leaves crop circles and lines. im going to be fabricating steel bars to go in place of the shocks. i noticed the 261 model has the chains which means the deck will work with the suspension like a FERRIS
Mike Robinson It’s not you. I think many of us are thinking the same. The main sidewall color is too light of a gray to make it look right. Needs to be black for starters. Looks like an off brand machine the way it appears in this color scheme.
{{{AIRLESS TIRES!!!}}} GD-IT!!! 🤬 BRIGGS & STRATTON ENGINE!!! YOU GUYS ARE CHARGING A ARM AND A LEG BECAUSE OF THE STHIL NAME AND YOU PUT A BRIGGS & STRATTON ENGINE IN IT, UNBELIEVABLE!!! 💩
ok, so how many hundreds of dollars did those two USB ports cost? I want a zero turn to cut grass not charge my iPhone which I can't hear when mowing. Weak entry by Stihl when they can't compete with price. Also, meters are electrical, gauges are for fuel. 4" deck is poor, no good. No option for air ride seat, no good. Overall very disappointed by Stihl. No mention on drive units, deck gauge thickness, tire size and width. This is an entry level residential mower. Say it out loud. We're are not mushrooms!
They offer many more SKUs and series that have suspension seats and that are build more commercially. This video is a walkthrough of their 100 series which is their entry level residential mower series.
They have a website where answers to all your questions can be found…. You’ll find that these aren’t basic residential mowers if you take time to do some research. Simple examples: 2800 and 3100 hydros with external reservoirs, 10 ga decks, rubber deflectors, plus many more features found on mid and high end residential/low end commercial.

So far we've sold a few of the 142 models and our customers have had nothing but rave reviews.
@@humphreysoutdoorpower my local stihl dealers also sale john deere. The new z330r looks like a good comparison. I'd love to see them side by side.
@@ciphercode2298 If we had one I would make a video for you! Unfortunately we're a Kubota Dealership.

Didn’t hear anything about pricing on those? Did I miss it?
They start at $3,899 and go up from there depending on model.
Are the decks the same as Ferris?
We're not a Ferris dealer, but I would assume so.
@@humphreysoutdoorpower yeah that's fair to say
Everything is the same as Ferris. Except the paint job.
I have a simplicity (I think also made by Farris) and it also looks very similar just different color😂
Yeah i gotta buy one aaap
Is it me, or do Stihl colors just look weird on a lawn mower? Guess it takes getting used to.

Is it a steal.😅
They’re just using a name. Stijl built a great reputation with chainsaws. These are just rebadged Ariens w/ a Briggs instead of a Kawasaki.
You mean Ferris *
Nice machines but they dropped the ball on the engines
'promo sm' 😡
LMAO!!!!!...Stihl making zero turns??..who's next?!?!...Echo!?!?!
Recently saw a DeWalt zero turn.
