You're actually less scared, neurotic, lost, and insecure than the vast majority of the population who are so scared, neurotic, lost, and insecure that they can't even admit it to themselves and so instead are completely wrapped up in the delusion of the character they have created to interact with the world. It takes huge courage to admit you are afraid, lost, insecure, etc. - far mor courage than most people have. Put a feather in your cap and call it macaroni! 🙂🙈🙉

I found that this state turned into a freeness after a while. That it in turn allowed me to further explore the expansiveness of everything, to create in flow but not being tied to any type of outcome, simply out of the pleasure of experience. I began to walk through life with an aliveness.

I am always so touched by the people in these clips!
So sincere, so humble, so vulnerable. It’s just lovely.
To the 64 year old man who talked about the Nightfire feeling:
I am 66 years old and have similar experiences.
I wake up almost every night to process something that arises. Like you, it seems very particular to the night time. Also like you, there is no particular emotion associated with what’s being processed.
It’s just energy. Mine is not fire, it’s more just a tightness that I can now see has been underneath every moment I’ve ever lived, in everything I’ve ever done. So I just lie with it, night after night, until eventually, I go back to sleep. It is mostly un-dramatic, no tears, no shaking, just a simple quiet being with, and settling more and more deeply into the energy.
I would say the two major “results“ I notice are:
    1) I become more aware all the Time of what a huge influence this energy has on my life, And 2) I notice a gradual, but substantial lessening of various rigidities in my life. I am less run by fear and anxiety.
I am less ashamed of things that used to cripple me.
I am less shy, less ashamed, Much more real, much more honest.
Thank you for sharing your story in this lovely clip.
May that Night fire, burn hot in you, And may your body continue to soften and heal.
    All the best…

This body has multiple mental health conditions resulting in a lower lifespan of around 18-20 years less than the average. The ego death was such a painful physical release of traumatic emotions I had to go to the hospital. But the horrified neurotic person desperately trying to cure itself is gone, revealing an inner peace which sees there was never a body, there is only This. 🙂

@@macaroon147 Yes, in the end there was never a separate individual “choosing”. The energetic release of emotions either happens or it doesn’t. In the story here there was a lot of generational trauma that needed to be resolved I guess. But no matter what happens, it’s all the same.

3 year nightmare probate process right now. My mother married a man who had been working since before they were married to ensure that if anything happened to her (she died suspiciously after they were married for less than a year), everything she had for us would go to him. Long story short, I have felt a type of hopelessness. Legal stuff is so ugly, and people will use the wildest things against you just simply to win a buck, but it's even more terrifying when it involves your children. I'm so sorry that is happening to you. I went through something similar about 12 years ago with my son and came out the other side. A little scarred, but I believe my son will know it made me stronger.
You are absolutely equipped to handle this and you will get through it with your babies on the other side. ❤

I have no idea!” And that go-to of my gurus “the one thing you know is that you exist” was like, “NO, I don’t know that! “ Then they use logic, if you don’t exist how could you be saying you don’t exist? I only started to feel better once I started leaning on gratitude and God instead of resentment and victimhood. Once I had Faith that I was exactly where I was supposed to be and surrendered I started to notice how naturally I progressed, to want all the answers immediately is a huge sign of ignorance mixed with pride.

      Hi, Cp,
      Thanks for asking.
Way too long a story for the comment thread.
But, basically, after a lifetime of seeing myself as a no nonsense, stubbornly independent person, I foolishly followed a so-called spiritual teacher off a cliff in the belief that he knew “the way” where I didn’t. Not only caused great hardship for my family and myself, but for many other trusting people, as well. Deeply painful and indelible lessons, to be sure.
If you’re interested in a longer explanation, I did an interview with Angelo Dilullo called “When
Spirituality Goes VERY Wrong- the Mac Parker story.” It’s posted on his RUclips channel, “Simply Always Awake.”
Certainly shows the dangers of abdicating one’s own authority, Spiritual or otherwise.

"Not knowing what this is" is the most resonating, honest and humbling explanation of what it feels like just being and this is how I would describe it and how I feel any time I am honest with myself. Many teachers use such glorious words to describe their experience that just confuses me so much, because for me it is so very simple, that I just can't trust myself that what I feel is really true. So I kept negating my experience in search for this big aha-moment that would show me what I am missing.

Unfortunately, expecting a "dramatic" event has kept many from realizing the simplicity of this as you say. For many, it is as subtle and unobtrusive as taking a walk through mist without realizing at the end of the walk that we are thoroughly drenched. No spectacular "enlightenment" needed.

When within the four seas all people can enjoy themselves, that is happiness for him...
    Sorrowful in countenance, he looks like a baby who has lost his mother;

It cant be figured out….in the billions of people on Earth no one can accurately describe what “it” is…and like you I have become consumed by it all. BUT you have to relax and let go trying to figure it out…observe life, trying to understand just frustrates and upsets us more. We are all “there” already, I believe for me Im just now feeling that peace on the inside, but I had to finally give in trying to figure it out. One we realize the answers only come once we stop trying to “win” in this world, or better yet stop trying to have our happiness contingent on external things, or people, or money, or love, or the past…and stay in the present moment we realize there is no “aha moment”…where things instantly be better, its more of a feeling of Im happy being alive type thing, at least for me. Trying to figure it out our lives on our own is why we suffer…at least thats been my experience. In regards to second question about intense energy at night, not moving or resolving- i have experience with this and it was so confusing because i felt i am really willing to give space to anything needed. I was actively being with it,offering attention and nothing happened. *But i did found there is literally complex subconscious system preventing you to feel sth, even though you are consciously ready and know there is no gain in suppressing anything. So i had to give it time. I discovered the difference between a "me" being with emotion trying to heal it...and just being the body and allowing the uncomfortableness and allowing not knowing. You dont know untill you do. And sometimes i need a good therapist to help me that emotion flow through the body. I can than be with the enotion, but i just need help with not avoiding it. Its such an intelligent and complex system running in our psyche. So if it persist, maybe look for a good support,it helped me many times. But keep in mind time is also a factor here...usually these things uncover in layers we have to work through. Cheers 🙏

Move to the forest and live off the grid and from the land. Otherwise, you can try to eat only free range chicken and eggs, elk and deer meat, maybe somemgrass fed beef and bison. Jalal meats (Islamic animals slaughtered humanely, with reverence, by a human rather than a machine.)
All of us who live "on the grid" contribute to animal pain in many ways we don't think of. Things we buy that have nothing to do with animals directly are transported on roads that cross and break animals' natural migration tracks. The cities we live in prevent rainwater from percolating through the ground back into ground water. The runoff causes erosion and damage and depletes plants and fresh water sources from their water sources. Light and sound pollution from street lights, buildings, road, rail, air, and ocean traffic makes navigation difficult for animals and causes them to be in heightened states of anxiety. These are just a few examples of things we rarely consider.
In short, don't worry about it. When we become more conscious and aware, we'll all create a more equitable world together. Until then, just accept your role to empty the ocean of suffering one teaspoon at a time.

Seems like it is your conscious getting to you. Man's cruelty to the "lesser" beings of this realm is the reason why man also treats his fellow man like garbage as well. It all comes back around. Break your ties with systems of cruelty and domination. Align yourself (your heart, mind, body, soul) with the principles of freedom, in which one could NEVER dream of taking part in the destruction of life and the destruction of the freedom of other living souls. Not only does it make a difference, it makes a _profound_ difference. EVERYTHING is accounted for.

This is necessary stage but not a final state, you will spiral back to utilization of mind and earthly activities, but this time in a healthy way. You have realized what singularity is like, but this reality doesn't operate on singular principle. We have not come here to be afraid of muddying our hands but to dive deep into the good, bad, weird, ugly, beautiful, weak, powerful. That's the completion of a cycle of realizations. A lover of movement is a champion of restriction. Without it we have no direction. We're not forced to have a direction, we can be a bulb of light that disperses light in all directions. But we've been given a choice to choose where to focus, who to be, what to create a direction to go.

For the 64 year old man with the energy in his chest: the label that some people would put on that experience is Chakra five Kundalini. It represents the energy of chi (life force expressing itself as mental, emotional, or physical energies), most likely in reaction to the threatening circumstances you experienced in your youth. Chakras three and five are Chakras of action and force. Charkra three is about force turned outwards towards the world. Chakra five is that same energy turned inwards as spritual self control (for lack of a better description). I suspect that that was a way of processing your early life chaos in a way that was emotionally non- threatening. You exude natural warmth, and don't have the energies of someone who is overly gripprd by fear or anxiety.
At it's best, chakra three has that confident and courageous (stereotypically masculine) quality that so many people would like to have. At it's worst, it can be needlessly combative and confrontational - destructive, solely as a means of externalizing fear in order to try and control it. That happens, typically, in the stage of growth shifting from chakra two to three.
Of course all of these are mental concepts of our energies and the chakra system is nothing more than that, except that it seems to describe experiences people have had, and serves as a kind of physical and energetic model of spiritual growth and development on the path to (dare I say it) enlightenment. Non duality being an end experiencing in that.
People's paths in that larger picture are so diverse and individualized that I couldn't even speculate as to where you might be in that regards or what the significance of any of this has for your life, if any. These are just some perspectives from the broader eastern religious literature that might have some descriptive correlation to what you've experienced.

Being aware in the body I believe is important in nonduality. Otherwise I see a risk of becoming like a detached intellect with the idea of "being nobody" without actual spiritual realization and the body becoming numbed out hiding even more suffering. The mind, body and the external world need to melt into each other as I see it, into an experienced oneness and not just an intellectual idea.

Still listening, and only about 20 minutes in, but this is one of the best talks I've heard you give in a while, everything you're saying resonates and I've had the same experiences and can testify to the truth of it.
I've only been able to reach these transcendent states and become still through a combination of cannabis gummies and relaxation techniques that I've been formulating for over 3 years now.
I struggle with depression and anxiety, overthinking and situational depression as well as what some would call "complex post-traumatic stress disorder."
I actually can't reach a place of stillness or quiet the mind and drop into the body without the help of some kind of substance.
I don't really view this as sustainable, but my question is how many others use similar methods and have you had any experience with psychedelics or entheogens and plant medicines on your journey?
I have often wondered about this because no one in the non-dual/awakening community ever seems to mention it.

      Hey PO,
I have no personal experience or knowledge about psychedelics or other drug use as tools in this process.
However, since you asked, I do know that there is a woman named Michaela who has a website I believe called the psychedelic mom.
I do know her personally, and find her to be a wise and insightful person. And this is her jam, so if you’re looking for information about this specifically, she may be a good place to start.
Again, I have no experience or expertise that makes me qualified to make any recommendation, pro or con about psychedelics. But I can offer this lead, if that is helpful.
Best of luck to you, However, you choose to proceed…

My brain is so fried from frequent cannabis use that it's hindered my intelligent thinking and short term memory. Also mightve given me the ability to zone out easier, like having no thoughts and my vision going blurry. These seem like bad side effects but honestly being dumber has helped in dropping the sense of self. Sort of like a self induced lobotomy lol.

"I know im not my thoughts" is a false statement.
I am not my body(Jonas) is the truth.
The soul(percieving, feeling, thinking) wich is the real you is contained in the body(life) and this causes a lot of discourse. You 'percieve' life and all it has to offer, you 'feel' the actions of others and you may 'think' to yourself what a hellish place life is.
In the end though you leave body(life) so i guess it's all good.

I think, and its just my opinion, that this non dual idea that we are 'that and not this' is only half the storey. We (maybe) in reality are both. One, eternally unchanging beyond circumstance and conditioning AND an individual soul/ego on an eternal wheel of becoming until that disolves. Good health amounts to living and expierencing both realities. We can BE while we are in the process of BEcoming someone more agreeable on the relative level. It seems to me that trying to go through life as a detached pair of eyes simply witnessing everything while being uninvolved with the show is a rediculous perspective to aspire to and not what it means to be human at all.🤔JMO✌️
