You should never force any screw on a paintball marker anyhow. Good vid👍🏾

And this is why I always rebuild the regs when buying used markers. The reg seat is almost always damaged

I have that happened on my 2012 proto reflex Rail. I had shredded the reg seat rubber all inside my regulator and had particles of that inside my fuse bolt, and i chronoed my gun and had spikes between 290-350 horrible inconsistency. I had to wash all the inline reg with water to get all that regulator seat rubber shredder material out of my hyper 3 reg. Also i had that residue in the fuse bolt and i had to wash all of it. After all of the cleaning residue and replacing the sat ( took me 2 hours) and everything worked great. Though i was worried that those particles would damage my solenoid, luckily i did not have issues and i did not have to disassemble it.

I like when Rory goes to list all of the guns that this can happen to, and he can only list 3 lol.

Great video. I think it would be great to have more of these videos. Videos on simple things that non tech or the everyday player should/shouldn’t do.

Baffles my mind someone would not be able to feel them literally grinding away that reg seat. It hard stops at the end of the adjustment... I guess if you’re at the field and trying to lower velocity I could see it happening.

Never had this problem after all the years. So my question: Is this happening every time if i lower the velocity or only if i would try to cut off the air completely? I mean you are adjusting only around 60 fps max (220-280) How can you drill a hole like this if this only happens when cutting of completely and with this much force?
    Interesting video btw thanks.

It isn't necessarily happening every time. If you stop turning when you feel the seat hit the piston then you're fine.

I have heard of people doing this but never knew it was this big of a problem

Very good info Rory. I go by the manufacturer planet eclipse and they say to turn it in approx four turns and that should be close and its right at 285-290 every time. I never mess with it gassed up.

On a azodin with a ivg it is but not a reg

Depends on the reg design, but these days mostly no. Modern gun design favors regs that max out at some pressure to reduce risk of damaging the solenoid.
E.g. old AutoMag regs increase pressure when you turn them in -- that reg design basically allows full input pressure through if you crank it down hard enough.

      depends on the reg

Ashraven PB yea. I figured that. Some of my markers it's out is lowering. And I just realized that it's also out to that decrease it too
