- I have been away but I went into deep dive mode on a small buff pulses got. As I worked though before and after it's actually crazy how they are now. The ease of use is though the roof and they even hit body to crit ratios we have never seen before

I've been using adhortative with heal clip and golden tricorn. It's so nice running with radiant hunter and arthritis embrace. It absolutely abuses people
I still have the KC, Headseeker Bygones, I grinded for back when you made that video during Season of Dawn's Fractaline madness.

Back to my favorite gun in Destiny history. LAST PERDITION.
Here me out but, I've been loving outbreak with chromatic fire on stasis warlock for pvp and void for pve. Slow in pvp means the enemy has a hard tike escaping nanites and in 6s where everyone bunches up on a zone, gives this a very easy team wipe. Not everyone's cup of tea but I've been loving it.

Thank you for posting those KC + Radiant TTKs for rapid fires. Idk if you remember but there was a curated roll of outlast that dropped with Hammer Forged/Tact Mag/Zen/KC + Stab Masterwork and can have a 75 recoil direction. Stack that with the a kill chaining radiant solar build and you're cooking. I kept mine and thankful I did!

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the fact that Bungie is finally making balance changes with small adjustments now instead of the swings and roundabouts buffs and nerfs we used to get?
It's great to finally have changes to weapons and archetypes that gently push them into a better or worse spot rather than everything just going from busted level OP to dumpster tier with every patch.
I also like that the changes are a lot more subtle than they used to, if you choose to lean into them you can profit but it doesn't feel like you HAVE to run it

Big thing with rapid fire pulses is that in their optimal range they are usually over kill with 3 bursts. That means with their linear damage drop off, you can still snag 3 bursts like 40 meters out depending on the resilience.

The way I value the current energy adaptive pulses:
Third Axiom - stats, zen moment, 18 zoom
Yesteryear - suros synergy, perpetual motion, 17 zoom
Jorum’s Claw - suros synergy, stats, 17 zoom

the Thing ive been loving with these small percentage changes is the fact that the new HC numbers mean that my old Kindle Orchid with drop mag, rampage and kill clip is that it now does 112 to the head meaning that for some resilience levels you can get the 2 tap again where as before you couldn't
There's so many good pulses that are competitive right now and i love it
Adaptives have always been pretty good. So I'm surprised barely anyone uses them now. I have a last perdition with under pressure and headseeker I used to use before the buff. It would slap.

You just touched on it but the rapid fire scouts are feeling great. Brought the sword logic Fang of ir yut into trails last week and pull off the flawless on my first card (minus a reset on a game 1 loss)
Rapid fire scouts and pulses are some of my favourite pvp weapons, so glad they are getting some love. Rapid scouts are really enjoyable for me since they still encourage mobile gunplay unlike 180 scouts. Same idea with rapid fire pulses.
ye as someone who's bad at pvp i've always liked rapid-fire pulses and i don't really know why, i always liked just melting people. and back before black scorpion got sunset i used that too, if only i knew sunsetting would be undone then i'd still have my baby
I know this is comp focused but I just wanted to say that Adhortative with Incandescent and Feeding Frenzy RIPS ADDS TO PIECES.
I used to have the old Cammy roll Bygones with slideshot + high-impact reserves. It would probably be great with the range normalization patch from a little while ago. F
Ran into this last night trying out final warning. I play 5 resilience and bygones wrecked me before I could even get a lock. Been fiending for some cool guy content, great Friday night surprise.
Playing with top 5 onix player, he said a rapid fire would be the only pulse to use. Because it technically shoots the furthest, explained it by rpm and DMG drop off.
And if u r on point, they do out perform.
But he sticks to scrim rules, aka tournament load outs and calls out banned things.
I saw him 1v1 panda, and he rolled him think it was 20- 7.
It's more of the movement, true greatness/skill gap is the movement.
And that's what I'd like to see a vid from u on.

I have a Jorum's with gutshot and headseeker which seems counter intuitive but it feels good and kind of cooks.

A good controller dueling 390 is third axiom. Opening shot+Zen moment and mine has 79 range without opening shot.
While I'm happy pulses are good I'm a bit sick of sweating so hard in control to test my handcanons.
Came back after a year break. Wanted to have fun with my HC and I did for a bit. Even got back into using hawkmoon which felt great. But it’s so odd to pair without a shorty for me personally. Gonna try out my horrors least after seeing this with a sub

I'll have to check my vault for a Bygones with Kill clip
They feel off in checkmate. However, in all other game modes they're great.
My Swift Ride XE8375 has been doing work. The roll has 21 zoom, moving target, kill clip and a stability masterwork.

KC last perdition is my fav all time PvP gun in destintt 2. I havent played crucible since they nerfed zoom, so im sure it doesnt feel as great now, but that thing cooks. Its def just the 2nd coming of the suros pdx-45

Rapid fire pulse rifles are the bomb in pvp. Oversoul Edict with Sword logic is one of the most disgusting chain-killers in the game with it's ease of use. If you want more neutral stuff, Scalar Potential is a BEAST. I love these rifles so much.
Try out revision zero pleaseeee helped handful of ppl flaw this week with it. 80+ range 70+stabil max handling and with outlaw maz reload. Its a real laner
Might have to bust out my Randy's Throwing Knife with Box Breathing as well as some Rapid fire Pulses.
nobody remembers that the stranger's rifle was originally a adaptive, sum of reflection, the messenger clone was also a adaptive, and i don't know why bungie miss took that

Just went flawless with my Scaler Potential. This thing feels amazing and was out dualing 140's all night.
Adaptives are about to get a glow up in PVE for final shape. Best DPS on red bars for primary weapons.

Secret: If you have a Jorum’s claw w gutshot and head seeker it’s a two burst kill all the time for tier 6 and under! No need for other damage perks.

Question, is a slow reload actually ok on a kill clip roll - ie does kill clip proc a little later, so you can get some health regen in the meantime?
Slow reload hurts KC tbh. If the reload is too slow you don’t get the KC window unfortunately. I know this because round robin without keep away barely gets KC off. Maybe a .1 window to start reloading
@@jpmorgan6146 thanks for the reply dude. On Round Robin does the timer for kill clip then start when it’s actually reloaded, or once you start the reload animation (so eating into the kill clip timer?).
@@legaleaglesurf oops sorry didn’t see you reply. The timer starts once it’s actually finished reloading. So if you don’t finish reloading in like 2.5 seconds or however long you have (almost impossible without KA) then you’re doomed
