Combo for if your not into volt shot... Demo + Swash on any Grapple strand ability build: Grapple melee on a weak enemy (reloads gun if empty) - Swash x5 + Cursed Thrall and go to town to get the grenade energy back.
Just a problem. Its a fast fire which mean in pve where that build would be cool, it leads shit. Fast fire in pve are dogshit. They'd need a big buff like handcannon just got which made 180 semi viable (180s and fast fire pulse are the same for me. Fast fire and shit damage.). Its gonna be cool agaisnt thralls but anything hells will be a pain to go agaisnt.

Great review, 540 pulses are easily my favorite PvP weapon archtype for midrange so this one really got me excited, especially for when the adepts start dropping, assuming we can pseudo craft em like with RoN adepts. This and Fang are on the top of my list. I haven't got so lucky on the drops yet, (shout out to Bungie for my last "Trip to Kohl's" raid drops of 3 chest pieces back to back, followed by two gauntlets on an account with everything but Fang unlocked) but guess it gives me more time to raid with pals and scoop up some oversouls.
The first roll I had land for me is Keep Away + Headseeker and it is absolutely cranked despite its recoil. I absolutely love it. The accuracy you get makes the recoil more than manageable.

I can't believe I'm saying this but a reworked grave robber would be nuts on these weapons. Like I almost always skip that perk but with cursed thrall and the amount of damage melees do in pve I already feel like you need to weaken enemies to get the melee kill in content where melee range is major danger so GR would be nice to just keep the origin perk up more easily

Whenever I look at weapons I always look at the Sandbox and what the weapon is fighting against in the same slot and as much as I love Pulses, I have a hard time getting this thing to battle out other weapons in the same slot after the range "normalization". It might just be that I dont have my own 5/5 crafted yet, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I just got outduelled by AR's constantly in my engagement range and it just got frustrating. It is in the same place where most 450s are, that you have to be the one that starts the engagement or you lose. Again this might just be skill issue on my part. That said, in a vacuum, comparing to other pulses, this gun -feels- great to use, even with 64 recoil and ok'ish perks and I always for feel > metah when running around in 6s, even if I get outduelled
AR's are just a hair overtuned right now, which is fine because they have been the absolute ass of every meta except for that short time where gnawing hunter was king, and early early d1.
Just a thing to keep in mind, all weapons this season also have the new “predictable recoil”, kinda works funky on fang of ir yut but for the rest it seems like an overall benefit
I was waiting for this review, I got a encore, headseeker roll with mid range and it still slaps, even with a non ideal roll I put up like 500 kills on it
The Dad Rifle thing is pretty toxic IMO, almost everything in the game can be played tactically and the meme has a lot more to do with passive lazy play than the weapons in use.
@@P4NCHUi think we have misunderstanding here, i dont want all weapons to be full auto, i want rapid fire pulses specefically to be full auto, im not gonna change my setting every time i use a 540 pulse, which i feel should fire full auto natively but doesn’t. Cuz it will throw me offgaurd shooting a weapon and accidentally firing it full auto (i tried it b4 and it rlllly threw me off gaurd) So if i use one i will have to waste a mod slot because there is no option to make one weapon or weapon archetype full auto. It’s all, or it’s nothing I appreciate you trying to help, but that doesnt help me at all and i hope you understand
Same. The weapon model and sights on this just aren't great. It feels too heavy and there's nothing particularly great about this weapon. My horrors least is a perfect 5/5 crucible roll with 79 range and zen moment. Absolutely insane. This thing doesn't compare at all. Just the typical "creator economy" at work here.
You do realize what you just said, right? YOU have an adept 79 range Horrors least that YOU hit the RNG lottery on. I literally compared it to my horrors least which is also a beast, and this thing is there stat for stat. Meanwhile, this is craftable. Typical keyboard warrior at work here.
@@CoolGuyGames Mine doesn't have max range, and I didn't win the RNG lottery on it. I like my Horror's Least because it has Zen Moment. Feels nice on controller because of the flinch resist and less reticle bounce. As a controller player on PS4, I find it outweighs the third column perks Oversoul Edict has. Sword Logic is a pretty goated perk for PvP though. I probably should have mentioned why I prefer Horror's Least in my first comment, because you clearly took offense to what I said. Sorry about that
My issue with all the Crota weapons, is that they are all in the wrong archetypes for Crucible. Why use this rapid fire when stars in shadow or phyllotactic spiral in the same slot or even better, no time or messenger in the other exists?
I've been saying the same thing since the raid weapons leaked. Rapid fire pulse 180 handcannon 360 auto rifle Lightweight shotgun All mid, and these guns end up collecting dust even if I craft my perfect roll.
If you make another crotas end weapon review please bring up how bungie keeps leaving weapons out from the original raids. its horrible that some of my favorite weapons have been left in the past, with no explanation as to why.
Got the PVP god roll drop the other day. Its a meh gun at best. You lose a lot of fights at pulse range as this just lacks it vs the meta everyone's using

Last vaca I tried LFG for 8 hrs a day for 3 days in a row to do a GM Nightfall & people kept leaving. 3 days of time wasted with no finish & no rewards.

Yes. It’s a slight bonus to the stats that you didn’t choose the masterwork for. It’s more noticeable on primaries imo.

All weapons are full auto now. No need to waste a mod slot for that. It’s in the settings under gameplay.
