It's most likely yellow tiles, not gold. Gold is expensive and it is a soft metal that usually needs to be used as an alloy. Gold on roofs that take on too much beating against environmental elements doesn't make sense.

Ancient rome and greece had structures that looked similar, and you can barely see any change in the structural shape. but in places such as ancient India or ancient china, we can see how things differ alot. 2nd. ancient rome and greece does not exist meanwhile Chinese and Indians still follow the ancient religion, and culture unlike the modern italians and greeks. 3rd. Ancient rome and ancient greece had many wars, plagues, and rebellions. You would be more likely to die there then in ancient china
