The Ming dynasty hanfu is a perfect choice for the palace. Mom and daughter look beautiful in formal dresses. It is very much a unique cultural thing that Chinese tourists would ask to take a picture with foreigners they've never met before. Chinese are friendly, outgoing, yet do not consider personal boundaries as such a big deal. Someone should write an essay about this sociological phenomenon.
Hanfu is Ideal for the forbidden city or purple palace, it was built and used by the Ming before it got highjacked by the jurchen manchu and their qipao/qifu/manchufu.
@@dragothunderstar6526 well, sometime Hanfu is becoming general terms for Chinese traditional wears. As Qing dynasty was also part of Chinese histories, it was once a memory of many people to see many wearing clothes during that periods. Mind you, those clothes might not be traditional to Manchu people too.
@@boonchongsim8926 it’s up to the Chinese their culture their country 🤷🏼♂️. I do like Manchu armor and horse riding tho. Just not the clothes for women I think it’s ugly.
The dress is so beautiful and richly ornamented I appreciate the respect in China for their millennial history, probably the oldest still alive on the planet
Lovely mother and daughter outing. Hope to see you two try all kinds of Chinese-fu in different areas of the Middle Kingdom. There are 56 different ethnic and cultural groups and it'd be great to see you and your mom in all of their traditional fashions.
Ming Dynasty Hanfu is the most in line with my personal aesthetics. The women's version can best show the grandeur and grace, while the men's version can best reflect bravery and fortitude.
Oh it’ll be really nice to start seeing more of traditional clothing of other dynasties- there are so many! Maybe you will have started something! Thank you both for being so thoughtful
Unfortunately video is too short and waited so long for since the last one but fortunately it's worth the wait. Actually do it at your own pace where you feel comfortable, stay blessed!
Very nice for your parents to visit China again, this time you and your mother wore traditional Chinese outfits, looks Great on you all. Hope your parents have a good visit. Thanks for your hard work and for sharing your video. 👌💪♥️💓💟🌷🌹🇨🇳🇨🇳👍
Wow! You look like a Ming dynasty princess in hanfu 汉服, the Chinese traditional dress! And your mom like an empress! Hanfu truly transforms how a person looks! You are right, even as a Chinese, a Malaysian, I am not enamoured with the Qing dynasty nor their dress! The Qings were Manchurians. Qipao 旗袍, however, does look flattering though. Nice vlog!
0.39 min: If you go over one of the high thresholds in the Forbidden City or another facility of this kind, you should always step over it with your right foot first. That's what I was told by our Chinese guide.
@semperveritas3 No one cares or takes notion of these things in reality. In ancient times, these things mattered, but in modern China, as long as you don't step on the threshold, it doesn't matter 😊
You both look beautiful in Ming dresses. Ming is my favourite, too as it should be considered the true last Han culture. Every Chinese should stick to Ming dresses as an official ceremonial dress. Forget about what the Soko may think and has to say. Ming is is Chinese Han not korean.
@znba8823 Don't give the impression of you being Chinese. I believe you are a jealous fella from a neighboring country trying to create problems. 我相信你是一个来自邻国、心怀嫉妒、想冒充中国人的人。
I like these beautiful dragon patterns in the style of the Ming Dynasty. I was in Beijing with my mother for the first time in 1988, at that time many people were still wearing the dreary uniform blue from the Mao era. However, a large part of the old historic city center was still largely preserved, unfortunately most of it was demolished in the early 1990s of modernization. It is nice to see that Chinese art, culture and history is experiencing a renaissance, also thanks to historical tv dramas. In 1988, during our visit to the forbidden city, a film about the Empress Dowager Cixi was made. At that time we met many actors there including famous actress Gong Li when she was still young and unknown, dressed in traditional Manchu clothing in the style of the Qing dynasty... Today I own the DVD of this film, a nice memory of that time
I just no words.. Senza parole... You look so so so so so fabulous with that dress.. The color and pattern is just for you!!! I think if you dress like twht in Denmark I in Europe you will immediate become a super star too!! Think about it, why not❤
Totally agree that Qing is an invader and their attire is not traditional Chinese. Honestly Beijing forbidden city is unfortunately half Qing style vs. Xi’an.
1:36 During the Qing dynasty of China it was the Manchu Chinese who conquered the whole China and subjugated the Mongol Chinese, the Uyghur Chinese and the Tibetan Chinese and the Han Chinese During the Yuan dynasty of China, it was the Mongol Chinese who conquered the whole China and subjugated the Manchu Chinese, the Uyghur Chinese and the Tibetan Chinese and the Han Chinese They are all parts of the history of China.
Your choice of Hanfu is very regal, it suits palace. You are right too not go for wig or lot of hair decorative. I think it suits your own colour and the casual walk in daytime.
@dkq287 Qing dynasty emperors adopted all Ming customs, hobbies, architectures, etc. Respected Confucianism and Taoism. It also enlarge the size of China greatly by incorporating its own land into it. Thus unifying China.
and meanwhile some Swedish couple were escorted away and refused the entry bcos of their extra dramatic gothic clothes and they feel suffocating as a result for not being able to express themselves in the forbidden city. look how some people are making the world a better place while others, they should just leave this world alone.
haha, you are so good knowledgeable of Chinese culture, the rules for dressing in Qing/Ming dynasty, but don't worry, they belong to the past, the dress with Long is not forbidden anymore.

Sadly many Chinese do not learn they were Ching clothes and tittle it as hanfu 😮. The Ching colonization of the Han mindset still persists.

Yes you don't see it around the forbidden city... When the women should probably be dressing up and having their pictures taken

The best choice of traditional clothes! Ming dynasty is a much better choice for forbidden city!
