If you were talking about Drew then im certain it was due to his personal experience at the mosque. No reason to talk bad about the whole country of course. At least he gave Brunei a second chance and enjoyed it. Looks from your perspective like a very nice quiet and peaceful place. Keep up the good work!

Drew's videos are awesome. So was his new second chance video after admitting and owning his mistake .
Unbeknownst to him he is becoming the person that he is describing and without him knowing atleast Drew corrected his mistake.
Drew went here again but it doesn't seem like he genuinely had a good time. He needs to stay here for extra few days to experience more great things just like Chris.

We were popular with Hollywood celebs few years back tho😂 they were boycotting the Beverly Hotels as it was owned by our Sultan.

There's more activities and flags/banners/street decor around, as it is July is the Sultan's birthday month. Its great that you focus on taking time to explore and appreciate what the country has to offer. Some tourist come with preconceived ideas and get disappointed when they realized the reality doesn't match up to their initial hopes. They have missed out on what was infront of their eyes, when they focus on finding what was not available in the first place.
Brunei looks so beautiful peaceful and looking forward to seeing the sights in your future videos! Fun Fact: Brunei dollar is the same value as Singapore dollar! you can use the currency in either 2 countries. I love how positive your videos are! Keep it up!
Borneo is pronounced as ‘bor-nyo’
One of the possible reasons why Bandar was quiet, maybe because you probably visited when it was during the school holidays. We Bruneians love to travel during that period.
Or since you mentioned about the flags being up, I think you were here during His Majesty’s birthday. We put up the flags to commemorate his birthday month.

Hello Chris, wow can't believe it you here Brunei, welcome to our country bro, I love all ur videos and yet can't believe ure here. Sorry the transportation here Brunei is so expensive. While ure here Brunei you can try local famous dishes. Here Brunei we love to eat *Nasi Katok* and you should try nasi katok MAMA or nasi katok LILY. My favorite, u should go try, and don't forget to eat *ambuyat* at amniah arif restaurant. Not to forget try *Soto pabo* many tourists also went there to eat, river view 🎉🎉
And please go our night market located at Gadong. It's called Pasar Malam

If you are in Brunei you should definitely go take a look at the beaches in Empire and go on the cruise ship on Brunei River! Have a good stay and be safe ❤

I dont know where have you been in the Philippines but i disagree about the hardness to cross the streets. Perhaps in the place where you visited but its not the case with other cities and regions.
drew is really annoying, i feel like his videos are way too staged, acting. Chris is OG REAL
That guy came back for more clout. If he was sincere, he wouldn't have monetize it or donate the profits to a local charity. I still think he over exaggerated his earlier incident for more views. And just because of that he labelled Brunei as a bad country. If he had respect the culture or have proper manners, no one is going to attack you for no reason.
Actual truth. Remember he went there during a tumultuous time. It was after Brunei had inacted the Sharia Law. I think Mr Divabinsky wanted a little of that virtue-signalling action by bashing a Muslim country that no one ever heard of. Since Brunei is a little country that rarely gets visitors, he'd probably figured, hey who's going to tell me otherwise. "No one goes to this backwater country anyways, they'll believe everything I told them to". For a seasoned traveller, that guy seems totally unprofessional.

Welcome to Brunei chris... You can go to 'Pasar Gadong' and have a street food market everyday starting around 4pm until 10pm. The foods starting $1 brunei dollar and so many choices. Have a great time in Brunei Chris :) p/s Try our 'Nasi katok' (Rice+chicken with sambal) its our favourite dish in Brunei.

If you talk about the creator downing the country talk about him coming back a 2nd time and enjoying it. Dont just talk about the bad. I never heard one thing about you saying he came back had a open mind and really enjoyed himself. What other creators say and do is their opinion and people have their own opinions about other countries and what not. You said at the end of the video if you dont like the country then dont come here. How you going to know if you dont like it or not if you dont visit. This was 10 years ago like he said he was young with a closed mind and then about 3 or 4 months ago gave it another shot because it was bothering him all these years. He went and really enjoyed everything he did and enjoyed the people. He went in with a open mind and closed it out with a party at one of the clubs there.

Our country is not for tourist attraction But the people are and well educated and understand tourists impression on Brunei.You cannot compare our tiny country with those 10 times size than us. Our history is more than 500 yrs.even part Philippine and Malsysia was under our Empire .

I lived in Brunei years ago and it's a lovely although quiet place. Go eat ambuyat, a local delicacy, at Restaurant Tarindak D'Seni with a view of the river. The sushi at Kaizen also on the waterfront is excellent. Go to the pasar malam (night markets) ... Fresh coconut and sugarcane juice, lots of amazing street food ... Oh and of course the local fast food, RBC chicken.
Hi Chris! Since you in Brunei, why not have a stop in Kota Kinabalu. It's only like half an hour flight. Here in KK it's definitely a touristy place with beautiful beaches/islands and cheap delicious seafoods. Please come if you can - I believe it's definitely worth it.
