I've been bending metal for 30 years. I just put the roll in the brake ,Mark it with my tape measure ..Cut it with the straight edge of the brake with a utility knife. I recently just bought another brand new brake couple of weeks ago. I never have got the cutting attachment that goes on. It seems like it's always in the way
I can't believe a person would knife it for 30 years. I've been bending coil for 25 years and will only use a slitter, I mean thousands of rolls of coil, hundreds of thousands of rips and bends. The time you could save....
If you have a metal brake, why on earth would you use pneumatic snips to cut your lengths?! Put in the brake, pull out to needed width, clamp, score, snap!
Clamp the metal in the brake. Use the bending edge of the brake as a guide and score the metal with a sharp utility knife blade. With the metal still clamped in the brake, bend the metal upward with your hands. It will shear right on the line you scored.

Where was the cutter? Or are you talking about holding it
