I've seen some cantilever kits like this on full size rigs, but they were more aimed at long travel pre runner or desert racing trucks that didn't want to hack into the bed or the body to mount longer shocks vertically. This is a cool looking rig, and its nice to see not everyone jumping on the portal thing.
I really like the looks of this truck, but I'm gonna be honest. If I was saving up for a crawler, I'd rather save up the 100 more bucks (usd) and buy a traxxas defender
Best looking Chinese crawler? I think that's a yes. Sadly, very expensive in Canada, as usual (slightly less than TRX-4 Mercedes, $100 more than Redcat Gen 8).
The rear seems to articulate REALLY well and I suppose, in theory, the shocks being in board like that could help with center of gravity 🤷♂️. It's definitely a great looking truck
I bought the FTX Fury and put alloy portals on it and i love it but after seeing this crusher i want one bad now, haha, 1 is enough but we do end up with many over years haha.Love the Crusher.
Semi-triangulated 4-link systems can sometimes allow a touch of lateral movement. Mine is on the cusp of needing a panhard bar, but it's a new build. Might give it a run for a while first. Nothing binds from what I can see, but I'm guessing the longer the links, the greater the lateral movement at the axle end. Which is the case with our lil experiment. Maybe it's just an OCD thing?
@@AngryTurds definitely an ocd thing for me. Personally I feel that if a Panhard is needed with a triangulated setup, it’s best to just switch to a parallel 3 or 4 link. I believe you’re correct about link length though. The longer the links get, the closer to parallel they become (assuming the spread between the link ends doesn’t change)
That looks awesome and I do like the unboxing videos as well as a good running video and I agree it makes no sense that people don't like running videos as good as unboxing videos lol...
I have yet to check price tag, but I like the looks ,and how rear end is made! I just don't know if it is a positive or a negative in the overall performance in the long run!?? Looks Sweet,
Hope traxxas doesn't see this cuz we all know they own any shock that isn't standing straight up. This guy's is actually pretty cool I'm loving the body.
Only issue is gonna be the torque twist going up steep hills, cantilevers seem to be too soft if there's no gear reduction in the axle... But I still think it'll do better than any of the other rgts
Love the whole thing Steve, the Body looks really nice, flip-top lid is a great idea much like the cantilevered rear lay-down shocks.. Please take this one out and crawl some tough terrain. RGT look like they're onto yet another winner. nice review as always! On a side note... the electronics that come with these "Banggood specials" just work hey.. The ESC's, Motors and these servos are budget and nothing special, but at least they don't cost a fortune to replace.
Rgt its from hsp brand? Can I get this answer , bcz the last rc crawler for the hsp is pangolin, and after that rgt with rock hammer 2.2, wht make me feel like this is from hsp, bcse from the esc ,tx and motor
There's a couple of reasons I keep myself from buying it. No aftermarket support/option parts availability, limited retailers which results in hard times getting basic spare parts.
Looks awesome and its certainly a nice set up, from what i've seen, it performs pretty well. But she's a bit pricey and has virtually no aftermarket support 😅
Nice rig from them. But the price tags to high. While it has potential at the end of the day its still rgt. For the same price or a little more there are some great rigs that you can walk into a lhs and get parts for.
@@stickfurniture02 I hear what you're saying, however the price of the big names is partly because they are big names! This truck looks really great, and although doesn't have portals, seems well put together. If I could get one for £200 I certainly would!
@@stickfurniture02 I just checked the UK price.... yeah, it IS a bit expensive!! would have to think carefully about it when for £80 more I get portals and locking diffs plus hi/lo. I see what you mean now! take care.
I bought this for my son, a disappointment!! 10 minutes and done driving, the battery is 2000mah, the charger says after 30 minutes that the battery is full, but the charger charges 500mah per hour, something is wrong!!
You and others really should read the whole lawsuit paperwork. It's on Google. There is more to the Arrma vs Traxxas lawsuit than just the laydown shock design. Everyone knows everything when they don't do their research. 😒

How is it compared to lets say axial sc10 2? Its getting in that price range.

Definitely a cool rig
4 link + panhard on the front is an obscure combo, will need a single top link to function properly, easily done though and great looking truck
This is my favorite crawler at the moment.
Great specs and super cool look.
The only thing that's missing is the portal axles.
Looks like I'm the only person on the planet without a power wagon. Nice change from the usual jeep hilux rover bodies I guess
Thats a lie what about people who don't participate in RC.
Love the cantilever suspension. That will make it easy to put a full-depth bed pickup body without having to modify
Absolutely
Dinky RC has had this setup available for crawlers for a couple of years now. Awesome to see it available on an rtr kit
Awesome, thanks for the info
You've got to be kidding me. HOW KOOL RGT RACING HAS BECOME AWESOME RC. They just keep getting better looking
Definitely

Man I'm impressed with the detail of this crawler!!! Thanks for sharing with us Steve💯😊
Nice ay
This thing crawls pretty well. Looks pretty too 😁
Totally agree with you 😁
The Gmade Bom has had cantilever suspension for years.
Yes, but not quite this style. Also I've had issues with both of my boms. Don't quite flex nearly as much
Nice rig from RGT. Had a RGT years ago and they are really trying. It has some great features for sure.
Best looking Chinese crawler? I think that's a yes.
Sadly, very expensive in Canada, as usual (slightly less than TRX-4 Mercedes, $100 more than Redcat Gen 8).
Hi it's Pete from RC Bros. I like the old style body too. Looks smooth.
The Templar looks really kool too
Awesome looking climber, imagine riding it over big rocks with a huge light at night. It has descent speed as well....Big like! 💯%
The rear seems to articulate REALLY well and I suppose, in theory, the shocks being in board like that could help with center of gravity 🤷♂️. It's definitely a great looking truck
That is one sick looking truck! The cantilever is nice on the rear. Very clean
Yeah Tony, looks great and seems to perform well so far
The video keeps me surprised. Great R/C, it's really cool. 👍🏻😀👊
The onboard shocks are actually pretty cool 😎
an absolute beast, got to love RGT! you need to get more grease into all these gears and it quiet everything down quite a lot. 😁
Yeah absolutely, they are great value
lovely truck and great video.
Thank you
Cool design. Will it be able to handle the abandoned water feature torture track.
I bought the FTX Fury and put alloy portals on it and i love it but after seeing this crusher i want one bad now, haha, 1 is enough but we do end up with many over years haha.Love the Crusher.

My question is why does it have a 4 link front suspension AND a panhard bar?
Exactly what I came here to comment. That’s bind city right there.

Better watch with that cantilever. Traxxas might loose they're mind and have to sue. 😂😂
Haha

Weird ay. Don't understand
I like running videos more, as long as there isn't music playing. Like hearing the vehicles running. Much more enjoyable.

great video good job my friend 👍👍👍

Traxxas didn't come up with the design tho
Traxxas didn't design it but they patented it. Which was the issue.
Thats a real nice looking crawler! The detail is crazy I really like this rig!! 🤝🇺🇸 🇦🇺

Cool video

I think the torque twist issue is why it has reverse rotation drive lines. They help to eliminate that.
Nice crawler and looking now to see about getting one👍Love the suspension design, and been wanting to get one with the old body style❤️
Nice bro
Best truck ever
Nice 😎👍👍
I like it. Looks similar to gmade gs02f but with separate transfer case and no 2 speed transmission.
👍
Might buy one
Sweet
Also which transmitter and receiver do you use on these builds
Comes with it stock
what about the wheelbase?whats the number? 313?
Yeah from memory

Put that new toyan 4cylender in it n make it a mud basher. On second thought that angle of the rear shaft wouldn't take 13000 rpm😆
Lol, would be cool to see
That angle on that rear driveshaft looks too extreme, most likely a failure point if not corrected, i would definitely lubricate the u-joints
Look a lot better if it didn't have that sticker on the doors. But not a bad looking rig
Yeah, easy to remove
Anyone know where I can get one of these from a reputable site
Sorry not sure

Sounds like it needs a good greasing
Looks promising
Those metal gears need some grease 👊🏻👍🏻
They have grease in them already
Its nice!
It definitely need portal axes
Hey how about you put a V8 engine on that thing.
i would love to see a Mercedes Gwagen body on this chassis
What's the top speed on something like this
Walking pace
nice 👍
i like the rear suspension...
Definitely awesome
Looks like RGT is paying attention to weight transfer.
Yes, if compared with previous ex86*** version
That would look great with some different tires or. Cut every other one out.
잘봤어요💪💪💯💯
Cantilever rear suspension and the same silver and red shocks theres going to be a fight at the playground
Haha
@@RCTanksTrucks247 thought you'd like that

Nice truck. In my opinion it is a might overpriced for what you get.
how so? seems to have a lot of quality engineering into it, and good ability + detailing.
