The soil looks to me to be dirt from his yard. I wouldn't advise against that. Or at least mix it with something like peat moss or compost. It'll need 4-6 hrs of sunshine, but doesn't like high heat. So plant these is spring

How to make the sauce? I ask the recipe instead of the lettuce. I don’t grow lettuce in my garden because I don’t have the seed. I plant butterflypea flower instead to make blue tea. Regards from Karanggendot.
Ok, so my first thought: That poor floor. We've all done it when the weather's not pleasant, but when I bring dirt and pots inside, the old lady gets a little nuts. My second thought, why soy milk? My third thought: why no information or instruction. If you're going to clickbait us with "the fastest easists way to grow lettuce you've ever seen," give some technical details for the farmers who might want to implement your tactics. I mean, I run NTF systems that blow this lettuce out of the water. In a humidity and temperature-controlled greenhouse, where artificial lights make up for any reduction in par value during overcast days or shorter fall and spring days, I am consistently getting much bigger and nicer lettuce in about 25 days, so please tell us why your system is sound, so we as farmers and producers can make educated decisions about whether we would want to implement it on our farms! My fourth thought: what kind of soil is that? It looks like sand. Very interesting. That is all.

Pick the outer leaves every few days. New leaves will grow from the inside. As the new leaves come in, the older ones will move to the outside and you keep picking. Or, you can grab the whole bunch and cut it with scissors about an inch high. New leaves will grow from the center. You can do this for a couple of months before they start to grow fewer leaves and the middle falls over. You'll know when it's done.
I do the same thing on my balcony. I grow more lettuce than my family can eat. I would have been more impressed if the lettuce was served in a form in which it might actually be eaten. Nice music, though.
So I like how they look pretty an all but how do u keep them that way cause there's always some bug who wants to eat it before u so wat do u do????????????
@@KM-jc5hl yes. Start them indoors and gradually expose them to direct sunlight. I grew lettuce from seed and have had pretty good results the past 3 years. I follow a few home farmers on here that give really good advice .
Once should be good I just used almond milk as a way to get quick calcium to my plants last year also looks like the lettuce is at least 2 months old by the looks of it .

Soy is a good source of nitrogen. Really, using soil meal would be better. Oat milk, if it was full of additives, maybe ok. Good compost and worm castings best. Neem cake, fantastic.
As long as you don't cut the crown, the center stem, it will regrow multiple times. You can either cut off outside leaves until you get near the center, or you can open the head, check the height of the crown, and cut off the top half of the lettuce head. There's some good videos on here about that. MIGardner had one.
It needs sunlight, but will grow in partial shade. It is a cool weather crop. When it starts to get too hot, the lettuce will turn bitter and go to seed.

I'm growing lettuce in about 15-20 days using aerogarden hydroponics. It grows really fast and even faster when you germinate before planting.
Right. But this method balances fast with EASY. Hydroponics is great, but it ain't anywhere near this easy.

I throw a bunch of seeds in a 15 gallon felt bucket and water. I end up with as much lettuce as all those pots put together with far less work.
Do the seedlings come from seeds or a part of the plant?
When lettuce is fully grown and you don't pull it will bloom a flower on the top (bolting) . The flower is filled with tons of tiny lettuce seeds.
