2yrs later about to get back into my gel bag again and found this so helpful. I’m trying to up my diy game and apex is a area I have a problem with. Thank You Vic😊
Thanks this was very helpful I love that you included that picture of correct and incorrect apex placements. I have been struggling to with this now that my nails are actually long. This is the best video I have seen yet.
Wow thank you so much. I personally think creating an apex is one of the hardest skills when learning so i’m glad this was helpful 😊 practice makes perfect!!
Thank you for this amazing video! I just bought poly gel and everything else I went crazy and even got an E-file. I wore acrylic from a salon for 10 years straight then a few years ago I stopped and wanted to grow out my natural nail and of course they have been flimsy and bendable since I tired vitamins and oils and nothing helped but I was tired of going to a salon cause where I live it’s not a good salon so buying all I needed to do it at home but the first set I did all broke right off at the free-edge so this has helped me form a strong nail. Thank you thank you!
I know this is an old video but omg thankyou!! I’ve been looking for a detailed video explaining how to form the apex correctly without just using one bead! 💖
I would be dipping the brush in spilled primer...ya know, why throw it away?! It's not "dirty". It's just...spilled.😜 Thank you for very thorough, comprehensive video. It was much needed 👌
Thank you for this amazingly detailed, informative video!! I can’t tell you how clear and concise your video was, not to mention how beautiful your mani was. Guess who’s a new subscriber? 🙋🏾♀️ Thanks again for the excellent content!!
Wow you’re so kind, this comment definitely put a smile on my face! Im so glad the video was easy to understand and helpful. Welcome, glad to have you 🥰
Lmfaoooo the dip into the primer that was on the table is 100% relatable. I do the same thing. Like AHT this is NOT going to waste it’s still usable 🤣❤️ BEAUTIFUL work🤗
@@vicsnailtips Oh wow! I am honored for the reply! You’re video has changed the way I do nails!! They don’t break and I just give myself fills now! You’re a boss lady❤️🙏🏾🙌🏾
frikitona22 Yess, i hope you love it!! I use full cover tips to protect my natural nails. When I change my designs I usually file down to the clear nail and do a new design on top. I also like that i can soak it off to prevent damaging my natural nails since poly gel has to be filed completely off. I change my designs a lot but the clear full cover tips usually lasts me about a month. I use the Kiara Sky gelly tips. Hope this helped 😊
@@vicsnailtips thank you for responding . May I know which brand of builder gel as when I do the same it just comes off the next day. Would also love to see a video on this
At the time, I used the Aimeili Builder Base Gel ($7 on Amazon). Recently, I’ve been using the Kiara Sky Gelly Tips Builder Gel ($17 on the Kiara Sky website). They both work really well! Of course, youre welcome. Im glad it helped. & picking the right shade was definitely through trial and error. I never thought of it as a skill so thank you for that 🥰🥰

With dual forms, practice definitely makes perfect. Dual forms have a built in apex so just make sure your using dual forms that fit your nail beds (flat or curved) & be care not to under or over fill the form to avoid lifting.
