Hello, and thank you for your videos. I have a question regarding the LONGER RAY5 20W Engraver. Where can I find replacement window lenses? Thank you for the answer. and above all, how to obtain the maximum speed of 10000? Good day to you.
You should be able to get extra lens windows from Longer, though unless the glass is visibly damaged you should be able to clean it with some alcohol a light rub with either lens paper or a clean microfiber cloth
I thought I saw somewhere in your videos (and now cannot find it) your comments on the SLOW homing of this device and a possible workaround. Did I imagine that?
I don’t think it was this machine, but rather the Longer B1. Either way you can edit the homing speed in machine settings from lightburn if you want to.
@@rodmael5410 Read the machine settings in lightburn and look at the GRBL parameter values. One of them controls homing speed. I'm not at a laser at the moment so I can give you the exact parameter number.
Well, just a cautionary tale. I bought this laser based on your review and it really was a pleasure to use but the control panel crapped out after one month and now I’m without a laser just as the holidays are approaching and I’m trying to create products. What would be your recommendation for a RELIABLE laser for someone looking to build a small business and wants to engraved logos and names and small wood items - think cutting boards and coasters. Thanks! I hope Longer’s customer service is decent.
Well I’m not happy you’re having issues, but I obviously can’t predict reliability for an individual unit. I use an ACMER P3 48w in my own shop for diode laser work and I love it. Longer has a decent Facebook presence and community so check for that and post a question there to see if anyone can help out.
Hello, So judging by your own experinces what Laser module on Longer Ray5 choose 10W or 20W? I'm currently deciding between those two options. I'm planning to use it to start my laser engraving and cutting buissines but I have very little experience with engraving. Thanks for the response!
Just picked one up on sale, 689.00 for the pro package, looking forward to learning from your videos when i get it and get started.
Excellent. Get building! 😁
I also just ordered a pro max kit for the ray five. I can't wait to start playing with this thing.
Nice addition!

If you have budget get the 20w. It’s the best of cutting and engraving.
@@SteveMakesEverything i got the 20 watt ray 5 love it but i also have a 30 watt fiber laser for doing my deep metal engraving
@@ArkansasChainsaw Sounds like you're set up 😀
I ordered one on Monday.
Got a confirmation email.
Checked to see status, nothing.
Emailed no response.
Is this what others have experienced?
Keep in mind the time of year. They might be shutdown over the new year.
So, I got notice that it shipped.
Did not get email response to my enquiries though.@@SteveMakesEverything

New subscriber. Well done my friend. 👍
Thanks for the sub!
New sub. Just ordered my 20w Ray5. I'm completely new to laser engraving. Is there a autorotor available for this so I can engrave cylinders?
Thanks! Yes the RA2 is a great rotary device. I did a video on the RA2 a while ago so just look through my videos and you’ll find it.
