I think if you followed his journey for all these years you can appreciate this last installment. People are so critical and it's insane as I'm sure 99% of actors couldn't make a high energy movie like Harrison has at his age now. I'd say it's a well done HF🎉

I went there expecting Ford to trip up playing aged Indy,a step to far maybe. But the clever use of cgi to flashback indy to his earlier years and the almost constant action scenes and changing locations and Indy coping with his Helena sidekick was enough going on to take in, last thing on my mind was is he to old.

@@provisionalhypothesis you are correct. It just annoys me, this directed attack on Kathleen Kennedy is just wrong. There are people that decided she was the one who “ruined” their childhood. What really makes this clear is they are still acting like children. These trolls don’t even watch a movie and depending on what studio or producer is involved they make a directed attack against it. They decide that something is ‘bad’ without even seeing it. I wouldn’t doubt that even if they did see it, they probably wouldn’t admit they liked it.

I'm leaving the cinema right now!
    HOT REVIEW WITHOUT SPOILERS.
And I come away happy with a touch of nostalgia as well... that's why I love blockbuster cinema: for its ability to take us very, very far into adventure and emotion! A feeling that our ancestors must have also felt during opera performances or tragedies.
I really had a great time here with my eternal Indiana Jones! My childhood hero. And you know that the sleeping child in us sometimes needs this little spark to be awakened! This movie is that spark!!!!!!!
It's all there: a quest for a mystical object with all the imponderables of the good old treasure hunt, very wicked villains and sometimes unfortunately under-exploited allies.
Obviously this final episode is not free from criticism but at this precise moment, while my emotion is still strong, I want to keep only the best of this epic adventure!
Some scenes are absolutely dantesque and particularly successful.
The introduction is absolutely stunningly realistic, it was my fear regarding the use of digital, but it seems to me much more discreet than for the crystal skull.
But my most intense moment will undoubtedly remain the climax of the film which I will be careful not to reveal here out of respect for those who read these few lines.
I flinched in my chair, vibrating with each image, and experiencing convulsions bordering on orgasm and intense emotion!
wow! I cried like a child.
It must be said that this film pulled on my heartstrings... tackling a theme that is particularly dear to me... I will not say more about it for the moment, or rather simply that as passionate about this subject, it is here without fault and I perfectly understood the feelings of the hero.
    Orgasmic I tell you!
This episode also shines with its darker side, that of old age that touches our hero but also of the pain of passing time, in any case, that's how I perceived it.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is therefore an excellent adventure film to watch and rewatch with the family, and I probably intend to go back there very soon!

I enjoyed the film having been around long enough to have seen Raiders in the theater. I smiled all the way through it and wasn't asking for anything more than that 42 years later. However, the character of Helena Shaw is one of the most unlikeable characters I've ever seen in a movie. Not a great sign when the vilest character in a film isn't the NAZI villain.

CGI is horrible, as always in recent years... mostly not because of the CGI artist but the poor time frames and too many changes at last second, story was good, probably too long, leading actress.... old fashion and boring, not attractive at all and anoying, sad because the movie could have being a 10, still a good movie, but not great.

I like the movie too, but it don`t feels like this is the last movie to me. They could maybe do another pilot for a series, last time with Harrison Ford. In this episode he is looking for his son in Vietnam. Harrison Fords Co Star Brandon Sklenar from 1923 helps him. He could also be an archaeologist. The first lead leads them to Short Round. The actor himself comes from Vietnam.
And in the early 1970s there was still the Vietnam war. Both have to find shorty first, who knows a possible sign of life from Indy's son. Something mythical has to be added. The enemy this time is America. Indiana Jones himself may not survive this time. But we have three new leading actors for a television series. Ke Huy Quan , Brandon Sklenar and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
If something similar doesn't happen, I'd also like to say goodbye to Indiana Jones. I also think it's nice that Indiana Jones has so many films now.
