The LKA on my MG4 is perfect. Nice gentle nudge if I’m straying or change lanes without indicating. HOWEVER - I did have an MG4 courtesy car for a few days (the salesman’s own car) and I genuinely feared for my life when on the motorway. He told me the software just needed updating to the latest version so absolutely - if you’re affected by this take it in (if that were true of his car).
It's a good tip, but I wouldn't think that's the core issue because many people have this problem who have the latest software update. I have read comments from a couple other people who said their LKA is great, but it seems to be the minority. From what I've gathered, it really seems to vary from vehicle to vehicle, with many more people having issues than being satisfied. It's definitely weird
Absolutely valid criticism, it is wrong to speak about a 360 camera when it just isn't. However I wish you could try the MG 4 for a week or so. I'm pretty convinced that you'll find a higher number and more severe issues compared to the e-C4. In this day and age many cars seem to be rushed to market, unlike your e-Golf for instance, a well finished product. Citroën did improve a thing or 2 with the 2023 update, but the "360" camera is not one of them.
Makes you wonder how Citroen could get away with it, doesn't it? I'd love to try the MG4 for a week or more, but there's no Trophy available here, so I'm not super motivated. Right now, a used Megane E-Tech looks very interesting to me, it seems to be available for almost the same price as the E-C4 in Germany, around 30,000 EUR. By the way, are you sure Citroen 2023 improved something on the e-C4? So far it seems to me that it is not available and only the X sedan is available (which personally I don't understand why they made at all)
That's great! The Megane seems really nice - I love the displays, Android Automotive, 22kW AC charger (!), plus the interior looks very elegant. Video coming soon 😊
Line kill assistant is at least -5points. I almost put order on mg4 bud thanks to your video avoid that mistake...we have to thanks people like you posting usefull info on youtube.. Never had any problem with my electric Corsa. just had 2 software update..when i test drive polestar 2 feel like chinese dont design cars for use by humans..
I'm happy you found the video helpful! I do hope MG works on improving the LKA for real because that is I think the biggest shortcoming of and otherwise good budget EV. I am surprised you didn't like the Polestar 2. I actually really love that one and think it has probably the best infotainment I've had a chance to try. and I really enjoyed the driving experience. 😍 I just don't enjoy the price tag currently, otherwise I would probably be driving it by now.
