Can the dash be reinstalled without the black padding so the wood looks like older P4s?

Hi, I'm not sure, there's a foam layer under the black 'vinyl' layer which as you can see in the video just crumbles and needs replacing. As for just leaving the wood exposed, I guess it's possible....when I get round to replacing the foam I'll see what the fit is like and how it looks and let you know. As you can see from my videos other jobs have taken priority.

Thank you! I like the later P4 models but prefer the look of the full wooden dash without the padding..

From your camera angle, I'm not sure where those bolts were please.

Hi, the bolts to release the dash either end are easily accessible, although they are a little fiddly, and also the one at the centre. I f you shine a torch under the dash you should see them. I can take a few photos if it will help.

@@davidbaugh thank you, I'll have a look. My big issue is turning the seized motor over. I know it was driven into the barn 32 years ago in good condition...

Hi, repairing the clock is on my to do list. Other problems with the car are a higher priority at the moment....welding etc. See my other videos.
I'll be getting one of the repair kits and tackling the job later in the year.
