For all of ya'll complaining about the vocals....... I'd LOVE to see you get on stage with pneumonia AND late stage cancer and do 1/5th this good. Ya'll need to just sit down and hush. The man loved us and did his best, no matter the circumstances.
I love Robin. He was a trooper until the end. God bless him. He wanted to continue as best he could and entertain his fans. I have gone through cancer treatments and got to the point I could barely stand or walk around. It took me months to get myself together. It took years to get my energy back. Somehow I was lucky and I am in remission now. I don't know how he entertained and composed music as long as he did. Another of my favorite people, George Harrison also fought the battle and worked as long as he could. Both of these beautiful souls have lost their lives to cancer. They left us far too soon. I love you George and Robin. You are two gentlemen with your sweet spiritual souls, who will always be in my heart. It breaks my heart to know the suffering you went through. God bless you. ❤️🌹❤️
I saw Robyn Live in Sydney in 2012 with my late partner, he was absolutely brilliant and the most amazing performance. The Bee Gees are the most significant song writers of the 20th Century and thank god they are being recognized. Real music
I can't get enough of listening to you. If I had the power to make you come back .... you would be here to sing for us .... You are eternal, Robin! 😢❤❤❤❤
I think Australia made the Bee Gees - they honed their skills here and took them to the world. If they had stayed in UK the story would have been different
Think another comment described this performance well: Robin surrounding himself with a big band & fine backup singers, shining a spotlight on his monotonous, unskillful emotionaless voice was just a disaster. I agree.
Robin where ever you are at if you can hear me you have. An angelic voice you must be singing with Andy and MO and my sister is listening with you Barry sings wonderful
I believe Robin was ill. he had pneumonia around this time. Sounds like this is a little low key for him. Poor Baby he stayed on a rat wheel racing against time it seems.. I believe he was not well long before he let it be known even to himself. Stress can be a sure leader.
Was close to original tempo and I guess he dictates that with his brothers as they wrote it....the band is too loud in the mix but there is a LOT of them on natural instruments, some of which should arguably not be mic'd up. Still, the engineer should've been able to push the vocals through in the mix. Ah well.
Wish the girl with the blonde hair would shut up 🤣 she's trying to sing louder than Robin. Check out this song emotion, Samantha sings with the Bee Gees
He changed the lyrics to "thinkin' of" instead of "clinging to". ? Hey, it's his tune. He can change it all he wants. But the implementation was always odd with his vocal coming in out of the blue in the orig one and this one an octave lower just doesn't do it. This is why some songs are hits and some are not. A great song can be done the wrong way. The best version imo is the Samantha Sang one but of course what did she do after that? Where is one live version of her singing it??? Robin always stood out but too much in the orig version, imo. Barry was really the voice of the Bee Gees but Robin was nice on some tunes.
he was suffering cancer at the moment, also had pneumonia, and must have been really hard considering kidney and liver failures happened soon after this...
I think your right. The drums are way to loud. He always he a wonderful voice and really didnt need this type of bscking group. As for some saying he had late stage cancer at this point. He died 2013 this appears to be performed 2005. His brother Maurice died 2003.
He’s good at songwriting undoubtedly, but surrounding him with such a big band and fine backup singers, shining a spotlight on his monotonous, unskillful, emotionaless voice was just a disaster
I always wanted to know what 50 musicians and a dozen singers all playing an atrocious arrangement or an ordinary song without any passion sounded like.
Just Robin, solo, and his 85 musicians and backing singers
For all of ya'll complaining about the vocals....... I'd LOVE to see you get on stage with pneumonia AND late stage cancer and do 1/5th this good. Ya'll need to just sit down and hush. The man loved us and did his best, no matter the circumstances.
I appreciated seeing and hearing Robin perform. I thank him all the way to the heavenly gates and back. Can I git ah AMEN?!

ROBIN GIBB... SCREWED IT... 😂😂😂😂
Maybe the song could have been slowed down to fit Robins method of singing with his amazing vibrato.

Definitely not the best key to showcase his amazing voice. I wonder why he did it so low.
he was suffering cancer at the moment, also had pneumonia, and must have been really hard considering kidney and liver failures happened soon after this...
:(
He had an amazing voice...just not this song.
I think the orchestra behind him is overpowering (too loud).
I think your right. The drums are way to loud. He always he a wonderful voice and really didnt need this type of bscking group.

Who thought that this was a good idea?

Right? Poor guy!
Me, id like to hear him sing this song then. Any complaint?
He’s good at songwriting undoubtedly, but surrounding him with such a big band and fine backup singers, shining a spotlight on his monotonous, unskillful, emotionaless voice was just a disaster
He's good at songwriting when writing with Barry, and often Mo. And yep, you explained it perfectly.
this is horrible considering it's such a good song and great band .... must have been a bad day for them
Wasn't Robin in late stages of cancer at this time. It's obvious how sick he was just in appearance.
Just as horrible as his cancer that he had that time and needed to perform just to get horrible comments. Thank you
I always wanted to know what 50 musicians and a dozen singers all playing an atrocious arrangement or an ordinary song without any passion sounded like.
The Hit Man and at the same time you heard a man who was very sick then...
Disturbing editing
I love the Bee Gees but this is an awful rendition...
Twaddles McGee Just as awful as his cancer that he had that time and needed to perform just to get awful comments..
Wow, this is bad.
