    Former follower of Jack hibbs and the calvary chapel community. Came to the Catholic church, because of the wild teachings they have there. Majorly the worst one for me was the idea of salvation. Either you are always saved or we're never saved. So people are constantly paranoid and getting baptized multiple times, and confused because they said the words but never felt different. I went to a confession once at the Catholic church and it changed my life forever. The power in the sacraments is incredible and truly holy! Protestants can't even claim their church is led by the holy spirit because if they did they would have to say that the Holy Spirit lies revealing different truths to each interpretor. They all claim the same name, but only one truly knows him, the one Jesus founded, the HOLY APOSTOLIC CATHOLIC CHURCH!! 💪💪💪

      You should try to show him this video so they can debate. Someone I knew goes to that church and he left me because I’m Catholic. When I told him to at least listen to a priest explain why the Catholic Church is the true church he said he couldn’t because his pastor told him he would be mislead. Which is very silly because everything we say is through scripture so idk why he would be mislead. Sounds like Calvary chapel is a cult who doesn’t want people to leave and find the truth. If I were you I wouldn’t talk to a pastor about these things. You yourself should go out and find the truth yourself because if not they’re just going to hold you down. You have to hear the other side before coming to conclusions. I can promise you’ll find more peace in the Catholic Church and you’ll get the fullness of our lord. Jack Hibbs doesn’t know the old language. It takes so many years to understand scripture and theology. It’s funny he doesn’t talk about his education background. To be deep into history is to cease to be Protestant.

They don't know my heart, the fruit of my faith, or know anything about my relationship with Jesus and they don't even care to. I can explain that I pray, read the Bible, have a personal relationship with Jesus, etc. and they will ignore everything I say and confidently decide my fate (hell) based solely on being Catholic. Jesus keeps giving the world “signs” of his truth through frequent Eucharistic miracles how can people still deny the truth of Catholicism when the Holy Spirit gives it so much support. Even some nonbelievers have succumbed to the Gift when they are involved with verifying the miracles that happened. Even the Blessed Mother has been busy with her apparitions to the world. An example is the apparitions of Our Lady of Guadeloupe in Mexico. That should be required reading for every believer.

    • @SevereFamine
      @SevereFamine 4 месяца назад

      Amen. There are far more witnesses to Marian apparitions than to the actual resurrection. To affirm the resurrection as having sufficient evidence and then to reject Marian apparitions is silliness in the extreme. The best argument is that they must be demonic, but if you study them even for a minute you will see the idea of “you will know them by their fruits” disproves this very quickly. You have these often bringing apostates and unbelievers to God by the thousands. In the case of Guadalupe, by the millions and she transformed the culture to Christian from pagan human sacrifice.

    So interesting commentary on the Popes authority thanks for that. I believe what Protestants in general would say is that the Pope isn’t actually led by the Holy Spirit so therefore his teaching on faiths and morals is null. They would also say that anyone is able to converse with the Holy spirit and as such as long as they are being led by it what they preach/teach/testify would also be infallible. So In a way the beliefs are the same just who is able to accomplish it though is different?

    The issue here, is we are Christians (Follower of Christ is what I refer to others about myself) continue to cast stones at one another (other Christians) about whose teachings are better or correct. WHY???? There are things within each division of Christianity Teachings that are outfight wrong and I am pretty sure upsets Christ himself. However, we should, as good stewards of Christ, be focusing on what Jesus wants us to focus on, bring more of his sheep to salvation. Instead, we break one another down for our "human taught belief system". I am sure you comprehend the bible enough to understand that no other books need to stand by it. You seem to know enough to know better than to break another teacher of Christ down. Just like Jack does. You both will answer for this in front of Jesus. How about we all work together as Christians and stop allow the fallen angel to continually divide and conquer us?
    Pick your battles as the time is coming near. Why not join arms and move forward trying to save the wicked and lost? Yet we continue to worry about worldly things that will mean NOTHING at the end. Do Christ's will and move forward.
    You do not need to be water baptized to be saved... I hope you really do not feel that baptism has to be done to be saved. If so, you really need to have more time alone in your thoughts with Christ. While it is mentioned many times throughout the Bible by the Disciples to repent and be baptized, we as humans judge toward human standards. Do you think God is restrained by our humanly standards? I think not. Does an infant that was a stillborn not go to be with God. Does a person living in a place that never heard of Jesus and nothing of God go nowhere when they die? We need to quit judging on our human thoughts and understand we do NOT know Gods entire plan for us. That is why we are not God.
    Next you will be sparring with who can perform a baptism....

    According to the New Testament, believers receive the Holy Spirit immediately after believing in Christ as Savior. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit is a gift, not a reward for faith or service. There is no command in Scripture to seek for the Holy Spirit, or to pray so He can be received. However, the apostle Paul teaches that we receive the Holy Spirit the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior.
    According to Ephesians 1:13-14, "The Holy Spirit takes up permanent residence in us the moment we believe". However, the filling of the Spirit is an ongoing process in the Christian life.

    How are we able to be sure that we have come to KNOW Jesus?
    1 John 2:3-4 says

    3 And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments.
    4 Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
    So, the Bible clearly says that whoever says they KNOW Him but does not keep His commandments(plural) is a LIAR!! Plain and simple.
    You do not know Him, but I know Him. If I said I did not know Him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know Him, and I keep His word.
    The gospel that is taught to many people today has been reduced down to just "faith alone". This false gospel of "faith alone" has made following the commandments of Christ null and void. Obeying His commandments have been eliminated from the gospel and have been made subsequent and optional to salvation. Walking in the Spirit has been made optional as well. This false gospel of "faith alone" changes what Jesus said in Matthew 7:14 - For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.
    Instead of following the biblical teaching on salvation in Christ, they follow this false gospel which tells them that they can be saved by "faith alone", apart from having to keep the commandments of Christ.
    By teaching that we do NOT need to keep the commandments(plural) of Christ as the gospel, the saving power of the gospel has been neutralized. The end result is that millions of people have been deceived by the devil's masterpiece into thinking they have eternal life in Christ when they actually do not.

    Baptism not required for salvation. John 3:3-7, “Jesus answered and said to him, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.' Nicodemus said to Him, 'How can a man be born when he is old? He cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born, can he?' Jesus answered, 'Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'"
    When first considering this passage, it is important to note that nowhere in the context of the passage is baptism even mentioned. While baptism is mentioned later in this chapter (John 3:22-30), that is in a totally different setting (Judea instead of Jerusalem) and at a different time from the discussion with Nicodemus. This is not to say Nicodemus was unfamiliar with baptism, either from the Jewish practice of baptizing Gentile converts to Judaism, or from John the Baptist’s ministry. However, simply reading these verses in context would give one no reason to assume Jesus was speaking of baptism, unless one was looking to read into the passage a preconceived idea or theology. To automatically read baptism into this verse simply because it mentions “water” is unwarranted. In this scripture Jesus is contrasting Physical birth (born of flesh) from Spiritual Birth. Born of Water when a womans water breaks during the birthing process. During the Apostolic period Baptism always followed belief and was thru immersion

      @enzoaugustine If you don't believe. ( Saved by faith) then baptism has no effect. It's not the Catholic church that determines whether you're saved but God. Ephesians 2 8-9, Titus 3-5. Baptism is part of our salvation but not the primary reason 🤔

      @enzoaugustine Case in point: in 1 Corinthians 1:17, Paul says, “For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.” This is a downplaying of baptism in the order of salvanic truth. It comes second to belief. The whole idea that it replaces circumcision for infants does what Paul warned about in Galations. It keeps the Catholic church stuck in the old covenant. Every belief you have is somehow stuck in the Old Covenant, the Priesthood being the biggest example. It's about the rules or laws of the Catholic church not biblical truth

    • @enzoaugustine
      @enzoaugustine 4 месяца назад

      @@michaelbledsoe4355 Well that’s what you believe. The Catholic church teaches that baptism is not only to unite you with Christ, bring you into the Church, and is for the remission of sins. Also what do you mean by faith? Do you mean intellectual ascent alone or do your actions have to match your belief?
      James 2 : 19-20 “You believe that there is one God. You do well. But the demons also believe, and they tremble greatly.
      So then, are you willing to understand, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? “
      And yes you’re right the Catholic church doesn’t determine if you’re saved, God does… but the Catholic church is led by God to keep us free from error, which means on matters of faith and morals The Catholic church is right about these things.
