I’m an ex-Lutheran and I find is really weird that someone would argue that the guy named rock, is not the rock. Even Lutherans believes that Peter was the first pope. Luther opened the door to so much weird stuff.
@@Kitiwake Lutherans don’t deny that Peter was the pope or that the pope had successors. Luther just thought the pope in his time was the antipope, making him (Luther) a sedevacantist and a heretic. So after his excommunication he started his own church where he believed there was no need for a pope. Because they could just follow the Bible. Which everyone interpreted differently.
Do you think they really believe what they say? I can’t imagine how they could. It seems like they just try and justify Protestant beliefs bc they are in denial and don’t want to become Catholic bc it is seen as more difficult or something. I genuinely wonder

@@tony1685The Catholic Bible is based off the Codex Vaticanus Manuscript and the Septuagint. The ones the protestants use are a part of the Masoteric Text which are of Rabbi's who were against Christ
Why do protestants think they’re asking a unique question, like they’re the first to ask this in the 2000 years of the church 💀 especially the 1500 years where everyone belonged to the one church started by Jesus. These have been asked for centuries and have been answered for centuries.

Jesus is the delegator and Peter is the delegate. Peter's authority is derived from Jesus' authority. If Jesus were not the Rock in the primary sense, Peter would never be the Rock in the secondary sense. Peter is the Rock because Jesus had the authority to designate and define him as such. Peter's authority proceeds from and depends on the ultimate authority of Jesus Christ. The Catholic Church is correct.
@@t.d6379I can’t understand why Protestants think they’re right unless they’re just in denial bc they don’t wanna become Catholic bc it’s seen as “harder”
If I were to be charitable, I think his point is that since John is not a synoptic gospel, it isn’t written with chronology in mind, so when Jesus greets Simon and calls him Peter then, it’s not saying that Jesus historically and precisely said to Simon “you will be called Peter” in that moment, but as a reminder to the readers that Peter = Simon. I think that’s his point.
Yup for us who are not really seeking truth or not knowing the scriptures it is easy to comment on anything that comes out from our mouth without a second thought.
@@killianmiller6107 I don't think his point wasnt that John was saying this just as a reminder to readers, but rather I think his point was that John cares less for the chronological order of things.

I’m adding this argument in my “why Peter is the pope” holster! Thank you brother and keep up the good work defending the Catholic faith; the one true holy Catholic and apostolic church. The Catholic Church is indeed the church Christ established. 😊
Debunk this: Even if you disagree with a few of these you can not disagree with all of them. These events happened they can not and are not disputed. I dont know enough about the Eastern Orthodoxy Catholics, the Oriental Orthodoxy Catholics, or the Assyrian Church of the East Catholics, but it is clear through the lense of History that Jesus was talking about the Roman Catholics in Matthew 7:22-23. Let me explain: Matthew 7:15-20 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree can not bring forth evil fruit, and neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. So lets apply this Biblical test to the Roman Catholic Church and check their fruit. Bible literally demands it. Matthew 23:9 9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. 1 Timilothy 2:5 “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;” Deuteronomy 4:2 2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Revelation 22:18-19 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. The Jewish Tora is the Old Testament. None of the Catholic Apocrypha is in the Old Testament. Vise versa with the New Testament. So where did those blasphemous books come from? Matthew 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. If you didn't know, iniquity means lawlessness. Exodus 20:3-10 3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me. 4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. 5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; 6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. 7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. 8 Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. 12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 13 Thou shalt not kill. 14 Thou shalt not commit adultery. 15 Thou shalt not steal. 16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour. 17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
The Roman Catholic church has violated most of them and encourages its members to do the same. Being unrepentant of sin will keep you from the Kingdom and the false prophets disguised as priests encourages their members to sin. They pray to Mary, putting her above God to have influence over him as if anyone could influence God. They even pray to Angels and Saints. Praying to anyone else other than God is praying to Demons and, by extension, putting them above God. Ecclesiastes 9:5-6 5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun. Is Mary or any of the saints alive here on Earth today? If no, then think heavy about this next question: Is there a big yellow ball in the sky and are we under it? If the answer is yes, then answer this next question: What is it called? If you answer "The Sun", then you know in your heart of hearts that you've been praying to Demons. Jesus himself rebuked a woman in the crowd who attempted to worship Mary directly in front of Jesus' face. Luke 11:27-28 27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it. Jesus, God himself in the Flesh said: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6) Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. (Omnipotent) 1 John 3:20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. (omniscient) Psalms 139:7-10 7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (omnipresent) Mary, saints, and angels are not omnipresent, omniscient, or omnipotent. They can not hear your prayers. Especially if theres Billions of people praying to them. God is literally omnipresent, omniscient, and omnipotent. Therefore he literally heard you pray to an idol of Mary, Saints, or an Angel. You have them all over your church, your house, or your pocket (rosary). It is 100% idolatry. Remember the Sabith day and keep it Holy: The Sabith is and always will be Saturday. The Vadican has no authority to change it. Thou shalt not kill: Should I remind you about the Crusades? I get it, the Middle East started it. The Catholic church still "blesses" weapons of war today, in this modern age. They can bless a weapon for hunting, but not for war. Let the governments do the sinning. The church is to remain sinless. Thou shalt not commit adultery: Have you checked on the Catholic altar boys lately? Priests love them a little too much. Thou shalt not steal: The crusaders pillaged and robbed the people of the Middle East in the name of God. Which is also a violation of not taking Gods name in vain as the church sins in Gods name, and in accordance with Exodus 20:7, God will not hold them guiltless, which means they are not saved and have no salvation. Applying the biblical test of checking their fruits shows that Jesus was talking about the Roman Catholics in Matthew 23:9, Matthew 7:15-20, Matthew 7:22, and Exodus 20:7. Unfortunately he wasn't talking about them in Matthew 12:48-50 Matthew 12:48-50 48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother. Clearly, the Roman Catholics do not do the will of God as they won't even keep the basics of the 10 commandments. You guys will argue that it's okay because a priest, who is not God nor holds more authority than God, said that you can disobey God, and it'll be fine. They are who God was talking about in Matthew 7:15 Matthew 7:13-14 13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. There are 1.8 billion Catholics, but a whole lot less any other denominations. Lucifer wants to be God, so he persides over the Vatican. Molach is over the Abortion industry, and Baal is over the Middle East. Those are the three we know about. Babylon sinned against God, and out of Babylon came many nations. The Vatican sinned against God, and out of the Vatican came many denominations. In that time, what sin did the Vatican commit, you ask? We already discussed their other sins.... God wants everyone. Not some, not a few, not most, but everyone to be saved. The Catholics refused to have the Bible printed in multiple languages. Even executed those who printed 'pirated' copies. They were also selling spots into Heaven. They still continue to do that today. You can not pay for a soul to go to Heaven. That is 100% dependent on the souls choice. God doesn’t send anyone to Hell. People 100% send themselves. Lucifer perverted the church just as he did with the world. If your argument to be a Catholic is "it was the original church," then that's not good enough. If First means anything, then it means nothing. If First means anything, then why wasn't Babylon God's chosen people? Babylon was the first nation after the flood. If First means anything, then why don't the cannanites have control over the promised land? If First meant anything, then why don't indigenous people all over the world not have control over their own land? Jesus himself said the First shall be last, and the last shall be First. If First means anything, then it means nothing. I didn't judge your church. God already did. All I did was read the Bible and understood it. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 New International Version 4. Love is patient, and love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, and it is not proud. God is love. Since God is love and can not contridict the Bible (his word), then, therefore, he can not boast. Catholics in ever Mass in their "Prayer" always say, "True God from True God." That is literally boasting as God has no need to say that. You either believe he is God or you don't. There's no need to boast about him being God. Matthew 7:15-20 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they are ravening wolves. Even if you disagree with a few of these you can not disagree with all of them. The Catholic Church has bad fruit. They will be hewn down and cast into eternal fire. The church is to remain sinless. The individuals fight their sin, the church as an entity is to remain Holy. A concept foreign to the Catholic Church. With All of those Biblical Text proving the Roman Catholics to be a church of Blasphemy I can confidently say: your church is a complete mockery of Christ. To be fair, you can apply this test to the Mormons, Jahovah Witnesses, and a lot of Methodist church's. Don't want to forget about the TV Prosperity Gospel false church's. Their sins are different, some of them are the same, but the end result shows their fruit is bad too.
@@tripstar3563I will only look at one for now because this is important to talk about. One reason why Protestantism is so weak is because it’s literally based on “I’m filled with the Holy Spirit and I’m right and my opinion trumps someone else who is filled with the Holy Spirit.” It it based on interpretations and many wrong ones at that. The first example you give is the father one. That verse isn’t talking about humans fathers or even priests, it’s talking about a spiritual Father. You aren’t debating in good faith when you isolate scripture and interpret it to your own benefit. Also one question, are all the Catholics before the 1500’s in hell?
@@tripstar3563You do know that in Revelation 22:18-19, John is only talking about the book of Revelation, for the Scriptures weren’t put together as a list of canonized scrolls until A.D 382 and weren’t actually put together as a book until after the invention of the printing press. It would have been impossible for them to write the whole Bible on one scroll. Which the word used for Book in that verse is more accurately translated to scroll, from Greek.

@@Iffmeister You make a fair point that Luther did not 'remove books' from the Bible and Catholics need to be careful with their words. I have some honest questions for you: 1) Did Luther alter the ordering of the Duterocanon out of the book order being used in the Catholic Church and instead placed these to the back end of the OT? 2) Did Luther use the term 'Apocrypha' to describe those books? 3) If the answers to Q1 and Q2 is 'yes', would you agree this led historically to a de-emphasisation of the Duterocanon? 4) Is it plausible that rebranding a set of writings from 'Duterocanon' (Second Canon) to 'Apocrypha' (which means hidden away, outside of cannon) would lead Christians to believe these writings are false or unacceptable, a belief that is widespread amongst Protestants today?

I feel like if we just shifted the whole approach to explaining the apparitions and revelations of the Virgin Mary everything else would fall in place, but they'll just say it was a demon😂
for real, a demon wouldn’t warn us about things that are happening in the future, and they would instead try to teach a different gospel and deny Gods existence. My mom went to an apparition in Conyers, Georgia. She said it was such a beautiful thing, it was the last public apparition the Virgin Mary had.

C'mon y'all get it together
Well I think you’d have to look into why they “came out of the Catholic Church” the church wasn’t just sitting there and people decided to question them.
If you read into what the church was doing then you would understand sola scriptura. Which is making the Bible “word of God” the ultimate authority. Or just making sure that if someone tells you “It’s okay to be a homosexual and engage in homosexual activity and claim Christ” it says the same thing in the Bible. If it doesn’t then there’s a problem.
@@juancontreras9745 thats just it...I have & the Protest was completely unwarranted & problematic, Luther even said "now there will be as many beliefs & doctrines as heads" knowing his error would be problematic....& look today at the fruit of sola scriptura. Protestants claim sola scriptura but rarely hold to it. They twist, distort, add to, subtract from, and do flips to avoid scripture at all costs when it disagrees with their theology. Lets look at Romans 2 for example: He will repay according to each one’s deeds: 7 to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life, 8 while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but injustice, there will be wrath and fury. 9 This is just a small sample, the whole chapter just furthers this base point. Ive never heard a single protestant explanation for this verse. The best i get is a redirect to another passage like ephesians, galatians, or another chapter in romans against works of the law but never a follow up to what paul meant in that view there in romans 2. Here's the secret.... protestants cant understand that there are multiple categories of works. Works of the law, good works, works of the flesh, works of darkness, works of the spirit. Their theologies all depend on all these being the same category and that believing is not a work of any kind. The apostle paul clearly labels all these different types of works and if you allow for good works and works of the law to be different things then it becomes obvious. For fun try to guess what type of works im listing! Feeding the hungry, giving money to the poor, increasing your faith in christ, bringing back a fallen away christian, and bringing your children to christ. Ok.... now what types of works am i talking about now? Ritual washing of hands, circumcision, dietary laws, observance of shabbat rituals, observation of holy days, and rituals for how to handle torah. Its super easy to tell which kind of works a bible author is writing about and i think protestants have to play dumb on this point to make all their theologies work.

A long time ago (20 or 30 years) an author was being interviewed on KMOX radio, St. Louis, MO. He had just published a book about the attitudes of people in the United States about religion. He had spent three years interviewing people of all faith groups across the country. I remember him saying that there was good news and bad news. 1. The good news was that Catholics and Protestants don't fight about religion any more. 2. The bad news is that nobody knows enough about their own religion, or anyone else's, to BE ABLE to fight about it.

It really is simple enough for a child to understand: if you are looking for the Church Jesus built - look for "The Rock." As a former Protestant who used to believe in Sola Scriptura, it now blows my mind that Protestants will say "the Bible doesn't say (fill in the blank)" and then will state what the Bible should say if "x" were true. Baptism does wash away original sin and other sins as well. Best thing is get in contact with a priest and he can help walk you through or help you get in contact with an RCIA program. There’s plenty of Saints and holy people who have sinned and were still welcomed into the Church once they handled everything. Pray that God strengthens you and be patient with yourself as you go through the process.

Divine name changes are highlighted throughout the old testament (Abram - Abraham, Jacob - Israel) why would that man discount the name change itself as a confession if historically name changes by God were confirmation of a divine change? Especially if this name change was done by the Word of God himself (Christ)?
1 Peter 2:7-8 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
Hi man, I love your channel and the way you address things. Now, if there’s a gospel that actually does confirm and highlights Peter’s supremacy is John all along. But he does this in the “Joannican” way. Basically, upon careful examination, John develops what we can call a “Petrology” (some sort of theology based on Peter himself). To give you a hint, John refers to Peter in at least to very specific ways “Peter”, “Simon Peter” and “Simon, son of John”. Each used in different contexts and for different purposes. I would love to provide you with a broader explanation if you allow me.
Jesus giving some of his apostles new names is a beautiful little nod to the Christian concept of being reborn. It's like a new direction, purpose and trajectory.
Whenever God renames an individual it show that he has given him a new mission in live. Renaming Simon to Cephas, rock, and THEN saying you are building your church on this cephas craters the Protestant objection to the church being built on Peter,.
@@bridgefinand the argument that “the rock” refers to his confession of faith and not Peter is some incredible hand waving and unmoored from biblical context (the naming of others). The "popular Catholic apologetic" treatment of St Peter needs to be filled out, certainly. It seems to center almost entirely on St Matthew 16, but attending only to that leaves one with one a very superficial notion of his place in the New Testament. Much more attention needs to be paid to passages such as St Matthew 16.20-23, to the first half of Acts, to the use of building metaphors for Christ, Peter & the other Apostles, to everything the NT says about St Peter & about his relation to, and function in, the Apostolic Church. And these things should be studied, not with a view to proving others wrong & Catholicism right, but in order to find out what the Bible says about him, and why it does so in each passage. Protestants may have noticed things about the NT presentation of St Peter that Catholics have not noticed, or have not given much thought to.
John builds his narrative slowly. It could be that, when Andrew presented his brother, Jesus was impressed by his massive build and gave him the nickname, "Rocky". But the role of Peter grows throughout the gospel, and by the very end, Peter is recognized by Jesus as the one who loves him more, and who is given the mandate to feed the sheep. With John's gospel, you can never stay with just one moment; everything is interwoven. What began as a playful title becomes, by the end of the narrative, a solemn identity.
Name changes are VERY significant in the Bible. To brush that off is a grave error. Names are very significant in that culture and time that he doesn't understand.
Towards the end of the video you stated that Peter was protected by God from teaching anything erroneous. I am curious if you think that Peter was infallible. Peter denied Jesus 3 times and Paul had to "check" him in Galatians 2:11-14. And if you keep reading Matthew 16, Jesus ends up rebuking Peter. Jesus will build his church, and though it is founded on the apostles and the prophets, "Christ Jesus himself is the cornerstone" (Eph 2:20).
Infallibility relates to teaching truth and not to personal activity. All popes are men and therefore sinners. And the rebuke from Jesus was for acting like a human and not like God. No personal sin in that.
Why did Peter stand up to seek the apostle that was go to substitute for Judas? Who was the first to preach?, when the apostles were filled the whole spirit Who was the first to make a miracle after Pentecost? Who was imprisoned after Pentecost? Who was the first to put, a disciplinary punishment in the church? Why didJesús Christ only pray for Peter? What happened with the other disciples!!! Why did Jesús Christ give him the keys of t heaven to Peter? Why Did; the apostles can't solve a problem about Baptism and, circumcision, and they had to returned to Peter resolved? Why did Peter, and no the other disciples!!!!!
The Protestant argument on this issue goes like this: God changed the names of individuals four times in the bible. For Abraham, Sarah, and Israel the name change a) resulted in a massive and important change in their role, and b) the new name told you something about their new role. But in the case of Peter, Jesus changed his name for a later pun.
What about Dr Michael Heisers argument here? That the "rock" here is a reference to Mt Hermon where the "sons of God" conspired to take the daughters of men as wives and produce the Nephilim (Gen 6:1-4)
This is not just a double entendre but a triple, because Dr Mike’s theory can also fit here when speaking of where they were and the spiritual context of the Fallen.
"Peter, you are rock. Which is completely unrelated and separate from what I'm about to say. Read in a relationship between these two other rocks but not your name which means Rock" Kidding aside. I've heard that. I've heard about the rock of Pan and a parallel between the name "gates of Hell" and a geographic feature there. But only Peter is having his name explicitly changed into the meaning of Rock or Stone. The most emphasis in the statement is his change to suit a mission.
@@Malygosblues They are related by sound. It's what an alliteration is. Peter (petros) rock (petras). That's the only connection necessary for it to be a pun. I don't see how you've refuted Dr Heisers view in favor of a Pope Peter view

Every time a non-Catholic appeals to the church fathers to justify a Protestant doctrine (such as “the rock” is only Peter’s faith) must also wrestle with those Church fathers’ other Catholic beliefs. “Pick and chose” quotes is the result of Sola Scriptura; it doesn’t work for Scripture nor Church fathers who, both don’t support nor teach that doctrine. I hope the Ticktoker evangelical please reconsider.
I’m an ex-Lutheran and I find is really weird that someone would argue that the guy named rock, is not the rock. Even Lutherans believes that Peter was the first pope. Luther opened the door to so much weird stuff.
Sola Scriptura does that.
So, why are they Lutherans?
@@Kitiwake Lutherans don’t deny that Peter was the pope or that the pope had successors. Luther just thought the pope in his time was the antipope, making him (Luther) a sedevacantist and a heretic. So after his excommunication he started his own church where he believed there was no need for a pope. Because they could just follow the Bible. Which everyone interpreted differently.

Why do protestants think they’re asking a unique question, like they’re the first to ask this in the 2000 years of the church 💀 especially the 1500 years where everyone belonged to the one church started by Jesus. These have been asked for centuries and have been answered for centuries.
Yes. I honestly believe that.

Yes my brother
Exactly. Simon is renamed Rock as a reflection on who Christ is, Who is THE Rock.

Debunk this:
Even if you disagree with a few of these you can not disagree with all of them.
Let me explain:
Matthew 7:15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they are ravening wolves.
Matthew 23:9
9 And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.
1 Timilothy 2:5
“For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;”
Deuteronomy 4:2
2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.
Revelation 22:18-19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
Exodus 20:3-10
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6
5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.
Luke 11:27-28
27 And it came to pass, as he spake these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice, and said unto him, Blessed is the womb that bare thee, and the paps which thou hast sucked. 28 But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they that hear the word of God, and keep it.
Jesus, God himself in the Flesh said: "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)
Revelation 19:6
And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. (Omnipotent)
1 John 3:20
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. (omniscient)
Psalms 139:7-10
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. 9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. (omnipresent)
Mary, saints, and angels are not omnipresent, omniscient, or omnipotent.
Unfortunately he wasn't talking about them in Matthew 12:48-50
Matthew 12:48-50
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren? 49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples and said, Behold my mother and my brethren! 50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
Clearly, the Roman Catholics do not do the will of God as they won't even keep the basics of the 10 commandments. You guys will argue that it's okay because a priest, who is not God nor holds more authority than God, said that you can disobey God, and it'll be fine. They are who God was talking about in Matthew 7:15
Matthew 7:13-14
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

If First meant anything, then why don't indigenous people all over the world not have control over their own land?
Jesus himself said the First shall be last, and the last shall be First.
If First means anything, then it means nothing.
I didn't judge your church. God already did. All I did was read the Bible and understood it.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
New International Version
Matthew 7:15-20
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly, they are ravening wolves.
It would have been impossible for them to write the whole Bible on one scroll. Which the word used for Book in that verse is more accurately translated to scroll, from Greek.

Thank you for responding to Matthew 16 with John 1! I was just in a frustrating argument where Peter is named, and then Peter's confession is suddenly interjected [silently!] between the word "this" and "Rock" (which just doesn't scan linguistically -- silently introduce a change in the subject of the sentence -- from Simon Peter to his confession, and then back -- what speaker ever does that?)
No wonder people think the *pope* is confusing! Poor Mike must find *everybody* confusing with silent subject changes dropped in arbitrarily ....

@@Iffmeister You make a fair point that Luther did not 'remove books' from the Bible and Catholics need to be careful with their words.
I have some honest questions for you:
1) Did Luther alter the ordering of the Duterocanon out of the book order being used in the Catholic Church and instead placed these to the back end of the OT?
2) Did Luther use the term 'Apocrypha' to describe those books?
3) If the answers to Q1 and Q2 is 'yes', would you agree this led historically to a de-emphasisation of the Duterocanon?
4) Is it plausible that rebranding a set of writings from 'Duterocanon' (Second Canon) to 'Apocrypha' (which means hidden away, outside of cannon) would lead Christians to believe these writings are false or unacceptable, a belief that is widespread amongst Protestants today?
Absolutely 👏👏👌.Luther 🤦

Excellent work.
Protestants claim sola scriptura but rarely hold to it. They twist, distort, add to, subtract from, and do flips to avoid scripture at all costs when it disagrees with their theology. Lets look at Romans 2 for example:
He will repay according to each one’s deeds: 7 to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life, 8 while for those who are self-seeking and who obey not the truth but injustice, there will be wrath and fury. 9
This is just a small sample, the whole chapter just furthers this base point.

Sometimes it seems that the protestant apologists are just being misleading.
Divine name changes are highlighted throughout the old testament (Abram - Abraham, Jacob - Israel) why would that man discount the name change itself as a confession if historically name changes by God were confirmation of a divine change? Especially if this name change was done by the Word of God himself (Christ)?

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, and a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed.
I am curious about that
Jesus giving some of his apostles new names is a beautiful little nod to the Christian concept of being reborn.

Yea, I always get suggestions of what Jesus REALLY meant when he said something. They love Scripture....or at least they love how they can make Scripture say what they want it to say.
16:01 so what about if they align with Paul. Because Paul didn’t agree with Peter better yet I believe he rebuked him so what exactly does that say?
Excellent 👌👍💛🤍💛
Peter means Spiritual Father God is with us here on earth 🌍 Matthew 16,17,19
What does it mean when you say apostles confession?
Name changes are VERY significant in the Bible. To brush that off is a grave error. Names are very significant in that culture and time that he doesn't understand.
good point. and I nevver thought about the others confession. Peter is the Rock. and you are the Rocky Balboa of Catholic Apologists in my book. Yea
I mean Matthew 16:18-19 is a clear parallel of Isaiah 22:22 where Eliakim is made the Royal Steward of the Kingdom of Judah
Who was the first to preach?, when the apostles were filled the whole spirit
Who was the first to make a miracle after Pentecost?
Who was imprisoned after Pentecost?
Who was the first to put, a disciplinary punishment in the church?
Why didJesús Christ only pray for Peter? What happened with the other disciples!!!
Why did Jesús Christ give him the keys of t heaven to Peter?
Why Did; the apostles can't solve a problem about Baptism and, circumcision, and they had to returned to Peter resolved?
Why did Peter, and no the other disciples!!!!!
Facts. Just alone why did Jesus pray only for Peter should be enough to make any Protestant wonder, “why did Jesus do that?”
Psalm 62:6-8
Thank you Thank you Thank you so very much
The Protestant argument on this issue goes like this: God changed the names of individuals four times in the bible.
