Yeah I mean, China could be selling them hundreds or thousands of tanks. They aren't. That is a great sign as to where Russia stands on the world stage. I think because of the state model of Chinese Communism, and the fact that Russia isn't communist anymore, the Chinese have become increasingly ambivalent towards the Russian war effort. There's never any good news, it's been 634 days of a 3 day military operation, and Russia has lost half its tank fleet, while China has so far mostly steered clear of the political fallout of the Ukraine invasion.
Soviet and Chinese communism were vastly different but because both were communist countries against the non communist countries they had to become "forced" allies. However China used the Soviets to build it's economy, get technology and build their version of a communist country. Soviets have always felt superior to the Chinese but China started to pass the Soviets to the point they did not need them anymore for technology. Had the Soviets followed the Chinese model who knows how things would look now.
This gap became even bigger after the Soviet Union fell and ever since Russia has been lagging further and further behind to the point China does not want anything from Russia but raw materials, their own technology is now superior to Russian. The roles have beascially reversed and it's now the Chinese that control the Russians.
They have always been "frenemies" at best and these days China's only friend is China, 140 million dead poor Russians can never replace the wealth of the west and increasing wealth of other countries to buy Chinese goods.
China has been doing a pretty good job a there slow invasion of the United States.. And lately they've been talking with U.S. leadership and visiting the U.S.. And none of this is a good thing
What most people don't realize is that while officially Russia is no longer communist the communists are still in charge of Russia. Poopler (Putin) is a prime example. He was a major figure during the Soviet era, as he was head of the KGB. This is why China and Russia are still friends and cooperate on multiple levels.
Chinese made military equipment is probably worse than Russian made military equipment.
Russia is winning the war nowadays. Ukraine now sending kids and ladies to the frontline to keep zelensky in power.

1. China's troop ships will not likely survive the 2000+ anti-ship missiles that Taiwan has.
2. IF China is able (by some miracle) to land troops on Taiwan, they will not likely be able to \

I really think that an actual US vs China war is unlikely in my lifetime. Because I don't think China would want to deal with the US AND its allies. Even if China had help from say Russia and Iran it would likewise be a fight they lose.
I DO think that China vs Russia war is possible in my lifetime though. If you really think about it... if China has ambitions to challenge the US and its allies, take back Taiwan, etc then they need more resources and power before engaging.

if i would lead a chinese armee i would send my troops to Un Peace keeping missions even if we get embarest but the combat experience that would bring back would be very good intel to use to train the military. About 24mins in, there's the procedures for a U.S. draft, but I've heard recently that your U.S. Congress has introduced a bill to include for the 1st time ever, young women of the same ages as men.
And my brain splits into two separate tracks of thought. One one side, equal rights means equal responsibilities. I'm sure that could be argued as fair, but on the other side, if I was in an active combat situation, I'd Need to be absolutely sure, the Men & Woman I'm shoulder to shoulder with, have passed the same theoretical, practical and physical standards as I'd had to pass.
And I wonder how a 10man(all male) squad would react, to crossing a battlefield & coming across, and walking past the broken & burst bodies of their female comrades...don't want to even think of the experiences of a lone female combatant taken prisoner by an enemy force..[some sources estimate, in East Germany, 100% of the female population suffered at the hands of the Soviet military, in unspeakable ways, war showcases the absolute worst qualities of humankind, very regularly]
There's many support roles in the military that don't see combat. Also, most people would have higher survival chance in a 10 man + 10 woman team, than just a 10 man team. You're thinking that if women were drafted that you would be in a 5 man + 5 woman team rather than a 10 man team.
@@Kitten_Stomper hi, no, I wasn't thinking it'd be 5 + 5, in fact I believe arbitrarily mandating it had to be 50/50 wouldnt be productive. Anyone, male or female, in a team of 10, is absolutely entitled to be there, as long as all standards of fitness & ability are passed and maintained.
I'm Not against the presence of females, at all, I'm just torn in my opinions about how practical it is, for the reason in my last comment, for example, I think young 20 - 30 yr old guys, full of testosterone & fighting spirit, might react very badly(as in worse than reactions to seeing males) seeing females they've trained with & become friends with, lying dead, or severely injured. And things like, I'm 6ft 2, 168pounds, can I be confident that the 5ft 4, small built female medic can pick me up & evacuate me under fire, without endangering us both? I get that what I'm saying could sound biased or sexist, but I have no objections to anyone serving in a role they are fit enough & qualified for...it just gives me pause when I think of the real world consequences.
And I really like to know what women actually think about possibly being drafted?
