    I watched a Congressional oversight committee hearing the other day and Congress was asking Americas top brass about our nation’s current military’s recruitment status. I listened to four star Generals tell congress how current recruiting numbers are down to the lowest levels in our nation’s history. Because they’re having such a hard time finding young people smart enough to join are military. That’s a scary thought. They stated the majority of applicants received either had a felony , criminal conviction , strung out on drugs or simply not smart enough to pass the test required to join any military branch of service. These Generals basically stated that less than 20% of recruits tested were able to successfully pass the military exam .

Why does Selensky keep on begging for more arms and ammo and why are NATO members donating more and more powerful weapon systems to Ukraine? Why does the WH say that the US have to deliver cluster shells to Ukraine, because they are low on high explosive shells?
      The answer is simple: Russian forces are grinding the Ukrainian army down and Russia is slowly winning this war, even without mobilizing millions of still available reservists.

We still have some of the best special forces in the world but not being able to get them where they're effective kinda defeats the object. Not talking soldiers capability either just with budget cutbacks they’ve srunk and what is there doesn’t have the tools to be as effictive as what they’ve always been in the past, a superpower!! Thankfully Australia, Japan, & South Korea have been stepping up to help us in keeping China in check!! I never thought I’d see the day Australia is spending more on their military than the UK!! The thing that would really be a game changer is if somebody could find a way to turn the chemical energy, stored in a gallon of gasoline, *directly* into DC electricity. Presently, a gallon of gasoline is regarded as containing approximately 31 times the amount of energy stored in an electric battery of equal volume. I know that this is an impossible feat, but, just the same, it certainly would catch everybody by surprise.

    • @jerelull9629
      @jerelull9629 Год назад

      Nice idea, but I can't see hydrocarbon-to-electricity as viable or particularly green. Hydrogen-oxygen fuel cells are a faster way to get to that idea, but hydrogen production has just too high a carbon footprint unless and until we get more nuclear plants on-line to produce green energy in volume.

    • @JohnBerry-q1h
      @JohnBerry-q1h Год назад

      @@jerelull9629 I completely agree. It just bugs me that a gallon of gasoline can yield 31 times the output energy of the same volume of present-day batteries. However, I am presently inspired by the progress being made by a fusion-to-electricity company called Helion. I think Helion's approach is going to work. If it does, then with a little imagination Helion's prototype could probably be fashioned to fit within a train car that follows immediately behind a locomotive. Within 50 years, we could have self-contained fusion-powered trains.

    You know, almost every country in Europe has been a superpower at one point in recent history in the past 500 years. There's no reason why France, Germany, Spain, Great Britain (formerly part of the EU), and others can't have great militaries. All of those counties were superpowers at one point, and they should at least have strong militaries to defend themselves against Russia since Europe has historically been the world's battlefield.

    The writer is clearly young. History may be the best solution. For over 60 years, US policy has been that Taiwan is a part of China, but the land belongs to the Taiwanese, and the have a right to self determination. For over 60 years, China has routinely flown over Taiwan, because they have a right to, and don’t want that forgotten. Less than 3 weeks ago, President Joe Biden said, “China is a trading partner. We have a good relationship with China.” The next day, XI Jinping said that Taiwan is a part of China, but China has no current plans to invade. That was after everyone got over the scary balloon 💭. Military people are sometimes hotshots, and push the limit of what they should do. Aggressively approaching US assets is a self imposed death sentence. US Commanders have protocols for every situation. They will not allow a ship or aircraft to be intentionally endangered. If the book says, “Fire!”, “You dead, Fred!” They don’t make an on the spot decision. The decision of the response was made long ago, and just trained into the Commanders. The US will never be the 1 beginning the aggression…

    The U.S. signing a pact with the U.K. and Aussies doesn't do anything. The Aussies have one of the smallest militaries in the world and the British military isn't what it used to be. So basically it would be the U.S. doing everything. Even NATO is made up of mostly the U.S. Other countries send 500 troops here 1000 there. It's all the U.S.

President Biden said that we are trading partners, and we have good relations with China. The US policy is that Taiwan is a part of China, but the Taiwanese people own the land, and have a right to self determination, and they may someday want to be a part of China. For 60 years, the policy has not changed.

      The British are not fierce. They used to be. All these years of political abuse has taken its toll, the average British person is pretty soft and clueless these days. Times have changed for the UK. For the most part the country isn't very united anymore. Half of Scotland wants independence and as for Ireland I'm sure you've heard the hatred they have for the British.
