I want to thank you for being one of the very few male reactor that didn't look shocked and horrified when they show the scenes of the women giving birth. I was already expecting to see a look of disgust or some comment on how they shouldn't show that. So thank you very much for being a mature adult.
It also irritates me when the reactors react in disgust. Yes, it's a rough moment, but life is rough (I was at the birth of both of my children and it was cruel but very very strong and it was an experience of wonder, miracle and gratitude, but also admiration for a woman)

Thank you so much for reacting to this great song. I have to cry every single time I hear it. Rammstein has a lot of songs that I like but "Zeit" (time) is their masterpiece and it hit me hard when it was released in Germany. Because that was the day I thought my new girlfriend cheated of me. And "Zeit" expressed perfectly my feelings. Because time or limitation for me is not only about life or dearh or young and old but also about losing something loved. So I was destroyed that day and then she tokd me that my doubts and accusations were wrong ... and later cheated on me with the same guy again. That's why I can't stop crying when I hear the song. But crying is not only pain but healing as well. Thank you for your reaction amd please bear all in mind that you are dealing with human beings and that truth will finally come to light. It's just a matter of ... time

@@sololo312 Yes, it could be that these figures represents death, but the grim reaper is usually depicted as just one character and in the video you can see three of them. Death is one part of the conception of time, but not the only one. The three figures could be seen as keepers of past, present and future and that’s why I think that they are timekeepers, … and also because Rammstein called them that 😉.
No, they are not "timekeepers", they are actually "Time". After all, "Time" does not need a keepers - "Time" will move through endlessnes, regardless of what is happening around. And only "Time" decides when and why it will happen, and no one and nothing can take on his role

There's an interesting effect with this song because it can emphasize your current emotional state. Just watch it in different moods. I haven't experienced anything like this before with a song.
„Zeit“ (time)
Three creatures of destiny are named: their names are Urd (fate), Verdandi (that which is to come) and Skuld (guilt; that which should be). Their names are considered to be Norse equivalents of common medieval notions of time in the form of personifications of the past (Urd), present (Verdandi) and future (Skuld).
The song deals with the theme of death and the transience of life. These motifs are expressed within the video through various images and metaphors. At the beginning, when the band members are drowning in the sea, Lindemann sings about the river of time, in which all people are trapped. This metaphor is visualized by the drowning in the video. In the war scene, where children first play war and later a battle actually takes place, the band sings about the inability to stop the future: "You can't summon the future, you don't tolerate a stay". In the same place where children used to play, they now die in war. The song expresses the wish that the beautiful moments as children should always last. The women who give birth to their children at the Sandstrom represent the cycle of time. In the same place where the dead daughter will later appear, children will also be born. The farmer and his daughter are separated in a moment that seemed perfect for them. The father tries to stop his daughter, but fails. Accordingly, he mourns the moment. The character in the video is clearly identifiable as Death by the black cloak. However, the video also equates it with the concept of time, as the passage of time means everyone has to die at some point. Referring to the band, some fans and journalists suspect that Zeit could be Rammstein's last album, which could be another meaning of the album and song name.

Appreciate the reaction. I just recently rediscovered Rammstein myself. I remember hearing Du Hast by Rammstein years ago and really liked it. I just wish I had started following them at that time. Their Live performances look unbelievable. There are quite a few great videos out there for Rammstein. A couple to check out are Ich Will (official video) and a very popular one is Du Hast (live in Paris).
You need to check out Deutschland next. Arguably their masterpiece of video, music and art.
Great reaction. You saw two sides of Rammstein. Now i think you should see the third ;) Go for "Zick Zack" video witch lyrics too (generally it always good to have their videos with lirycs if possible). It's totally different and mutch lighter, more funny. And after that you may want to see some of their live performances. I think "Rammlied" from Medison Square Garden. "Du Hast" fom Paris or "Ich Tu Dir Weh" also from MSG should be good start :)

Another thing that came to my the babies being put back in to the mother to be born again on earth and also coming back in a sense they died on earth and are now being born in the other world and their birth or rebirth on earth is them already starting to die because as soon as your born your dying..your dying to live or as Rammstein put it "Wir sterben weiter bis wir leben" "We keep dying until we live" because in a sense what we perceive as dying is us actually being born again into the other world that's why the girl in the end seems happy when she dies because she knows that her death here means her being born over there..if that makes any Sense?

In German, ei, E before I is pronounced like "eye." My wife's mom is from Coburg, Germany. I've never heard this song before, it's a bit different.
They just did their dress rehearsal in Prague. This song is on the setlist for the tour and I don't know how I'm going to survive it live. If you see someone having an existential crisis in the Feuerzone in Minneapolis it will probably be me.
My interpretation:
This clip is divided into two settings: Real-world (color) and a kind of "other dimension" (greyish). those are connected by those three gate/timekeepers (past/present/future). Those receive and deliver "souls"/spark of life ...
The symbolism of the sand of the hourglass and the flow of time/drowning in time (water scenes at the beginning) are +/- obvious.
The mystic sand monument might be something like the memories of a person that you remember and are left in time and get decayed/destroyed over time
Suggesting "Angst" (their latest release) as the next one ... this has also much stuff to interpret about ... ;-)
btw: the sand scene is no cgi

My interpretation and thought was time goes on like a continuous cycle and those rare occasions when we are truly happy of course we want time to stop. The showing of the sand and hourglass ⌛ time keeps going and them showing the scenes reversing to me meant a desire to go back in time either to the moment of birth and start our lives over or to before we're even born saying no i don't even want to be born i want to go back before i was even conscious of my own existence and mortality. Them being blindfolded to me was no one knows whats going to happen in the future we don't know what kind of lives these babies are going to have.

As I saw you eyes/face changing the expression, twice, each one deeper, it seems for me, your soul shouted all those intense feelings in your brain, as you stayed there near beside your wife, seeing your kid coming, suddenly one more life, one more person in this room! A tiny lapse of time, making three out of two! And then, a tiny lapse of time later, today, hardly but still visible, your inner suffering, seeing this child going to her death and the father, which could be all fathers on earth, like you, like me ...
