Always remember that a raid pass is good until the boss’s 45 min timer runs out. I constantly run into people who give up after the first try because they don’t know they can fight the same boss again without spending a new pass.
The 6 auto generated recommendations will give you an indication of what type of attacks a raid boss has. The Pokémon that are recommended will be a type that resists the damage type being dealt by the raid boss. Example: if a recommended party against a Hypno contains Ghost Pokemon but no Tyranitars, then you know it likely has Focus Blast which would 1 hit kill Tyranitars but is resisted by Ghosts.
You summarized everything so well and thank you for the shout-out 🥰 unfortunately raid boss hp regens no matter what even someone is still battling (very small amount) so when you use pokebattler for duo, please keep that in mind💁🏻♀️💕 and clean relobby can make or break the extreme raid challenges! I noticed you were using an iPhone, how many gigs of RAM does that have I'm guessing between 6 and 10? Hell if I had that much RAM I be able to use your revive method as well, but sadly I only have half the amount of ram so it's just not possible to use for me it just doesn't work oh, if I use that method I wind up losing 30 seconds because it takes so freaking long from the time I click on the Pokemon with the revive to it actually being revived and healed. I'm talkin 4 to 5 seconds per Pokemon X that time 6 and you lose 30 seconds
Level 25 here... And lost to a tier 2 Cloyster today ... I dont have the counters for it yet tho.. but this video is usefull bcuz It's a small community here
ShadoooWzZ 25 should be easilly be able to do t2 raids. Im 28 and dit my first solo t3. I do have some legacy pokemon that did counter it that came in clutch
I feel like communication is really important for duos and trios as well. Letting the other people know which Pokémon you’re on in your party and when you’re in the relobby really helps your partner(s) to know if they need to possibly dodge or adjust in any other way
If you are doing a solo raid and you’re not using 6 identical Pokémon always look to see where your charge attack is when each Pokémon faints. Ideally you will want each Pokémon to faint 1 fast attack after it’s finally charged attack. The final fast attack prevents the damage from the charge attack from rubber banding when your Pokémon faints. If Pokémon are fainting with a large amount of energy charged consider changing the order on your party. This can often let your Pokémon get off more charge attacks. Sometimes a party the loses to a raid boss can win against the same boss when you change their order.
My community has a lot of low level players so I learned and trained to be able to duo all the raid bosses. This way i can encourage the lower level players to want to come out and win a legendary or other :) *taking rayquaza as an example: instead of the 5/6 party size, i use a slightly weaker team on my second account. Full team of mamoswine on main account and full team of mixed mamoswine, weavile and glaceon.

What I do is make two teams. For the second team I power one with ideal counters maxed out as much as possible. The first team though is strong , dealing super effective damage but not maxed. The first team goes in, does damage, faints quickly and then the main team goes in for the kill. Works great.
I've walked over 140 km with my swinub over two months of picking this up again and today got my first mamoswine thanks to the global go fest spawns including swinub, and here you are with 5 in a party. I almost soloed a piloswine raid but no dice, I'm level 27 atm
I can top that, mamaswine shiny walked on second account is 234.7k and swinub on main walked 640.1k, can almost duo weather boosted rayquaza's if battery is not almost dead, network is fine, game doesn't crash plus in some cases ideal move set too, lost out by a few seconds today due to all of the above lolz and congratz on the dex entry hope it serves you well and best of luck with levelling up as well as raiding.
When started soloing some raid bosses, like machamp when I was a bit lower level i found that if ANY of my Pokemon died to a charged attack even before I completely fainted out, the raid boss would regain a slight amount of health. Usually however much has been taken off the bosses life recently ( like the little orange background bar ) I had to try and figure out when to dodge and when not to dodge to keep up DPS while not timing out or having my mons die to a charged attack. For a simple game, I love how in depth it can be if you want to look into it. :D Also great videos man, keep them up ;D
Great information especially to those who usually have few people playing in their areas. My gf and I just duo Rayquaza if we get the chance, we used to duo also Heatran when it debuted. A very important note to be taken is type effectiveness. If it's x4 to something, then it's highly possible to duo it, or even solo at favorable conditions (rng, weather, etc etc)
Dragon types are easy to be honest. Especially Rayquaza and Giratina Origin form. Forget about you need 6 people 3 would be enough with counters not necessary to be a level 40 trainer.
Excellent video!! Living in a rural area, we end up short-handing lots of raids. Some thing we have learned: (i) Relobbying is brutal, so if you are close to avoiding a relobby (first or second) consider adding a tanky anchor to your team, (ii) if you are close, keep trying; at some point the RNG will be your friend; (iii) pay very close attention to getting charge moves off ASAP; (iv) adjust your teams based on the raid boss's moves (e.g., Gengar can be great against certain move sets and a ridiculously fragile glass cannon vs others; (v) weather is critical; (vi) in lieu of a 5-man team in a tight duo with a necessary relobby, one person can jump out after 5 and max revive and jump back in -- not sure of how the time involved compares with a fainted team, but this procedure uses your best guys and avoids using your sixth best guy -- can even be applied to using just 4 guys twice by jumping out after 4; and (vii) when max reviving, if you have figured out how many post-revive guys you will need, just max revive that number -- saves a second or two. Great video!!
For players like me who need to dual-wield phones in order to do raids above tier 3, it's usually better to have two parties ready, but only create one battle party for your reserve Pokémon. Manually pick your first/main party, and when it faints, just swipe over to the reserve party and rejoin - it will save a lot of time and hassle reviving. Also, here's a good setup for duoing Rayquaza (any move) without needing to rejoin: 4x Mamoswine or Glaceon, 2x Aggron (Smack Down/Stone Edge). You can win with at least 30 seconds remaining, but you do need to dodge accurately with the Ice types. If you are dual-wielding, have one account start with the Ice types, the other with Aggron, so you only need to focus on dodging with one hand at a time.
If you are not able to power up pokemon for your solo/duo/trio raids then set one as a buddy, most great counters only take 3k per candy some less and a few more but all in all you can get them that way, secondly private lobbies are great if network issues happen or game crashes out, as you can load up and rejoin the battle right away. I have a video showing said issue during a rayquaza duo raid battle, other pointers would be start with a tier 3 solo or duo and as said in the video use poke battler to see if your teams will win in none weather boosted so that you have a starting point on how much candy and stardust to invest, a great tier 3 to do which will help to do a tier 4 later is a machamp raid as when caught weather boosted you only need to power them up 10 levels to be able to duo a tyranitar raid and with a bit of practice you can duo even weather boosted tyranitars. As is the case with rayquaza duo/trio raids mamaswine is key but also great for duo/trio/quad raids of dragonite which is a tier 4 raid boss right now. One last tip if you only have a single team and a blank one but find yourself missing out by a few seconds due o re-lobbying, maybe make a back up party/team to bring in just to finish off the battle.
My dad is bad at pokemon, we went to a machamp raid. Just the 2 of us. He didn't know what to use. I told him see all those pigeys, starlys, and exeggcutes? Evolve all of them. And use the ones with baby blue and pink bars. We won 😂😂😂
Love the video! This is the stuff I love. When I create a team of 6 for raids and I have a 98% with 14 attack I always wondered how much of a difference that would make compared to waiting to find a 6th Pokémon with 15 atk
You can also quit and relobby early.. the first 2 or 3 depending on time/damage done. This is good when the players you are with may not know about the hp glitch.
Poke Genie has an option to make the best team possible (with your roster) to battle against specific boss. Also the app give you info about time remaining and If you can solo or not certain boss. Very useful to decide which pokemon to power up.
I use 2 parties instead of revives. i personally think it saves time, people waste alot of time the could be attacking while reviving their mons example one team of mamoswines and one team of glaceaon. also if you use diffent teams on each player you wont faint out at the same time and avoid the life regain. ive been using mamo and glaciaon on rayquaza and havent had any issues
I'm using a similar strategy. All the strongest mons in the first battle squad (mons mostly level 30 & 35) then the rest in the second squad (mons level 20 to 25). Three (3) players (level 38 to 40) against Rayquaza with a 30 seconds remaining. Oh man the battle was intense and fun. We thought we won't able to make it but managed to pull through.
several factors to take into account when hitting raids with limited accounts in a lobby. the weather in the game is a big factor. it can boost your moves, or the raid bosses moves. The type of charge move the raid boss is using against your pokemon. The moves your pokemon are using against the raid boss. You'll preferably want super effective moves that also get same type affect bonus (stab) damage against the boss. while trying to avoid using pokemon that are weak to the raid bosses charge moves. The recommended line is never a good idea for a starting party against a raid boss when hitting it with a limited number of accounts. Use the top 3 attackers for dps*tdo, which is the combined amount of damage the pokemon will do per second as well as the max damage they'll produce before they faint in the raid battle. Make sure the pokemon your using are also at a decently high level I would recommend level 30 or higher preferred the higher the level of the pokemon the better. Lastly you'll want pokemon with high attack stats preferred an attack stat of 15 or as close to it as possible. This is coming from someone that can solo weather boosted 3 teirs with only 1 account in a lobby for a raid. I hope this info was highly helpful. My 2 accounts can currently barely duo a non weather boosted rayquaza, based on which charge moves it uses. I can clear it most the time.
I have an account that has a max mamoswine team, and my partner’s account has lv 30-33 mamoswines. I have one shiny mamoswine on the 4th spot in my team and when I see that shiny my partner (or other accounts I duoed rayquaza with) retreat and revive them so I don’t have to worry about the health regen issue. This is especially helpful when I “duo” by myself with two phones. I do this because I tend to focus on swapping pokemons on my partner’s account before they actually faint because for some reason I always lack in revives. So by changing them before they faint, I only need to have potions which I get too much all the time.
That last tip in the video was gold. Happened to me today with the hp instead of 40 seconds left I finished with 10 anything less is too down to the wire.
duo rayquaza 2acc with 6x mamoswine each, 1x40 level, 1x35lvl, 4x 31lvl. With one full team revive for each acc. You win at least 50-100 seconds before the end. It depend on the rayquaza moveset. If ancient power or aerial ace its easy with outrage its still duable, but there is no place for mistakes :) We tried it 4x now and we won all as duo :)))
That's crazy... I haven't seen this video but my party is 5 Mamoswines and a Mewtwo (Ice Beam) and the name is Ray Ray as well. I know Mamoswine is the best counter but idk the fact that you're missing one as well and you named the party the same is kinda fascinating xD
Very nice video, to show the raid. Sometimes, many youtubers do not explain how they get millions of stardust. For me who plays after office hours, millions of stardust is very very expansive.
everywhere i watch people said 'empty ur party first in the lobby' or something like that for more efficient time, but for me when i did it, i kicked out from the battle and start waiting another 2 minutes in the lobby. why is that?
The 1st thing to do is walk… not running! If you can only do 1-3 Lv raids then go for it build yourself a team that will be able to take other raid bosses! I started playing getting small raids until I could do Lv Machamps ten I move to TyranatarAdbasol now I can do a Rayquaza… with my wife!
Exactly. The way the raid rotations are set up, at least some of the tier 1-3 raid bosses are generally good counters for the tier 4/5 ones. Currently, both Sneasel (tier 2) and Piloswine (tier 3) evolve into two of the top Rayquaza counters. Machamps (a common tier 3 boss) are excellent for taking down Tyranitars, Absols, and others that frequently show up in tier 4 raids. It takes some time to build up teams, but it's definitely worth it.
These tricks are great if you're only handling one account but 2 or more makes it practically impossible to relobby in this fashion. The only strategy is to build 2 custom groups on all accounts for a quick relobby.
If possible create 2-3 teams against the raid boss (for ray I have one team of mamoswines, another of mamo, weavile, mewtwo, then another of dragons) so no max revives are needed in the relobby...that way I am able to duo rayquaza with 90-100 seconds left depending on its moveset, without the empty party glitch
I do this too because reviving the team can be slow even with max revives. It's faster to have a second and third team ready to go straight back in. It's not always easy to have 18 excellent counters, but for Rayquaza it was really easy after the Mamoswine community day, and especially due to the fact that weather-boosted (lvl 30+) Eevees are common, so I evolved a ton of them for Rayquaza. (Actually, now that I think about it, it was FLW that suggested that, wasn't it? I set out an Ice lure, evolved a bunch of Glaceons with friends, and traded several of mine to newer players -- that way I successfully duo'd Rayquaza several times -- good tips here!)
Instead of running 5 make one guy add a pokemon that can resist or high hp and def at the end of the party. That way you can keep the damage comming while your companion(s) are in the lobby
I was wondering what commonly used Pokemon are worth unlocking a second charge move for from a raid and gym battle perspective? For example: ls it worth unlocking Rock Slide on my Counter/Dynamic Punch Machamp, or does it not deal enough damage to warrant the stardust cost? Obviously Pokemon with 10,000 stardust cost are usually worth it.
thank you for making POGO videos that have actual helpful tips and tricks. Gets old seeing the 3 minutes of cinematic shots and ppl just catching pokemon/shinies as those videos do not rlly "help" players. Most the other POGO youtubers video are almost ALL the same exact. "community day ralts!" Okay so we watched you catch 200 ralts and 2 shinies, next video is legit the same. Gets boring. Thanks for the better content.
When choosing a battle part for a solo raid it is often best to choose the first 5 Pokémon by highest dps and to choose the 6th Pokémon as one with only decent dps but with significant tank. You will lose more battles by rubber banding from a relobby than you will from not beating the raid timer.
I remember when I was raiding girantina raid with my about 7 friends and we lost by about 20 seconds :( :( :( 😡😡😡😡😡😡. That was my first legendary raid ever
Lmao nobody in my area plays Pokémon go so my first legendary raid every was by myself, I had no idea how I was supposed to win and just put my best Pokémon at the time to battle (the maximum I had was I think 1800 cp) Yeah no I never won that obviously
The only problem I frequently run into is my network has a bunch of dead zones and I tend to lag at the start of raids causing half my team to be knocked out before I get to start.
Instead of a 5 man team to faint out a different time, my brother and I will create a team with 1 tank at the end so that he and i feint out at slightly different times. a good example is Rayquaza were the tank we have is an alolan ninetales or Giratina could have a wigglytuff.
Yesterday I just solo’d the toughest raid yet for myself Aloan Raichu with Grass Knot. Took me 4 attempts with team adjusting but I did it with two Gengars with shadow ball, Alakazam with shadow ball, Groudon, Flygon, and Tyranitar. I had to back out of the raid heal and go back in after Alakazam fainted because Shadow ball was doing the most damage.
3 star raids are all winnable with rite counters and all super effective moves use you fast and charged TMs for certain pokemon for certain raid bosses

Yes but that implies you scan all your mons. Aint nobody got time for that
@@guitaristklub16 wait what? is super fast to do... like 2 or 5 min any time in your house hahaha
Calcy IV has the same thing. Can even make parties for you (copy-paste style)
Thank you for your tips I was wondering about the timer and you answered by questions! And I love the solo she's amazing!
This is gonna help so much, really appreciate this video. Keep on doing what you're doing, you'll soon be at 200k!!
I use 2 parties instead of revives. i personally think it saves time, people waste alot of time the could be attacking while reviving their mons
example one team of mamoswines and one team of glaceaon.
also if you use diffent teams on each player you wont faint out at the same time and avoid the life regain.
ive been using mamo and glaciaon on rayquaza and havent had any issues
The solo queen definitely lost that battle. It was beyond the halfway mark and she only had a quarter of the damage.
I'd sell my soul for a "without further ado" shirt! 😅
two thing to keep in mind is friendship bonus and weather boosting, both can make or break a raid
Don’t change a thing bro. Your videos are perfect
I found out that when you use the empty party trick, it times out early, and if not, it times out OK.
It should be tested
duo rayquaza 2acc with 6x mamoswine each, 1x40 level, 1x35lvl, 4x 31lvl. With one full team revive for each acc. You win at least 50-100 seconds before the end. It depend on the rayquaza moveset. If ancient power or aerial ace its easy with outrage its still duable, but there is no place for mistakes :) We tried it 4x now and we won all as duo :)))
Seen your vids and the past I've tried the empty party glitch multiple times and every time the time starts ticking down from 180s, not 185s.
If you are in duo, do you need to make the empty raid party in the both account or just one of them ?
@@FLWVideosYT thanks for the tips
You finally got yourself some midrolls my dude. Happy for you
That's crazy... I haven't seen this video but my party is 5 Mamoswines and a Mewtwo (Ice Beam) and the name is Ray Ray as well. I know Mamoswine is the best counter but idk the fact that you're missing one as well and you named the party the same is kinda fascinating xD
ive been waiting for this tnx man
Today was my first legendary duo🤩
Very nice video, to show the raid. Sometimes, many youtubers do not explain how they get millions of stardust. For me who plays after office hours, millions of stardust is very very expansive.
Is Garchomp worth powering up and what the best kwick and charge move?
everywhere i watch people said 'empty ur party first in the lobby' or something like that for more efficient time, but for me when i did it, i kicked out from the battle and start waiting another 2 minutes in the lobby. why is that?
The Adventure Sock actually exists
I've been waiting to get one of these since Pokemon Red/Blue
Oh, the voice in that video is much better. Great job.
Ok I know this game has very little people playing it now but is 3 level 24s able to do a 5 star raid and win
How are you Flw? Does this work with levels under 30?
You cant solo or duo a 3* shuckle raid no matter your lvl his def is higher than any other raid boss
@@chadmabe7069 false
I have a level 25 Groudon, IV 89. Just caught a level 15 Groudon, but the IV is 96. Which one should I power up?
Legendary and mega raid are impossible if your soloing it
Does it still work to this day?
What do the characters and numbers you have for all of your pokemon's names mean?
I like ur video
Nice tips for solo duo raids...
Thanks
If a person want to bild the best pokemon go raid app what do u recmond poke genie or pokebattler?
Instead of running 5 make one guy add a pokemon that can resist or high hp and def at the end of the party. That way you can keep the damage comming while your companion(s) are in the lobby
I was wondering what commonly used Pokemon are worth unlocking a second charge move for from a raid and gym battle perspective?
For example: ls it worth unlocking Rock Slide on my Counter/Dynamic Punch Machamp, or does it not deal enough damage to warrant the stardust cost?
Obviously Pokemon with 10,000 stardust cost are usually worth it.
Great content as always, brother
thank you for making POGO videos that have actual helpful tips and tricks.
Great video as always
I'd use a weaker Pokemon Counter in that 6th position to signal when that team is going down and it's time to revive.
When I am trying to do the lobby glitch trick it throws me out of the lobby and "The Raid is No Longer Available" error pops out ... any ideas why?
When choosing a battle part for a solo raid it is often best to choose the first 5 Pokémon by highest dps and to choose the 6th Pokémon as one with only decent dps but with significant tank. You will lose more battles by rubber banding from a relobby than you will from not beating the raid timer.
Christopher Beaulieu I have experienced this when soloing machamps, a lugia in the back has helped to stay that little longer on the battle
do you think i can duo rayquaza with less counters? or mix counters
I remember when I was raiding girantina raid with my about 7 friends and we lost by about 20 seconds :( :( :( 😡😡😡😡😡😡. That was my first legendary raid ever
Lmao nobody in my area plays Pokémon go so my first legendary raid every was by myself, I had no idea how I was supposed to win and just put my best Pokémon at the time to battle (the maximum I had was I think 1800 cp)
Yeah no I never won that obviously
Merch looks awesome. Might get me a cool pair of new socks. 🧦
The only problem I frequently run into is my network has a bunch of dead zones and I tend to lag at the start of raids causing half my team to be knocked out before I get to start.
What if you have only like 1000 CP Pokemon and battling 5 star raids help
What is your intro music? I'm obsessed 😭
Really like your work you do on this channel and also thinking about trying duo sometime, btw Famous I do the sock trick all the time.
What is the sock trick?
Instead of a 5 man team to faint out a different time, my brother and I will create a team with 1 tank at the end so that he and i feint out at slightly different times. a good example is Rayquaza were the tank we have is an alolan ninetales or Giratina could have a wigglytuff.
Mind if you talk about the ember moltres story? 😅
If you are new to Pokémon Go, like lvl 20, is it OK to have Super Potions?
Yeah if you have the bag space
The light is a bit too bright on your face maybe? Anyway, thank you for the info as always!!
OUT THE BOX out the box unless your battling Shuckle which is near impossible to solo or even Skarmory is difficult.
@@crobinson2624 Shuckle is straight up impossible solo because of too high defense. Skarmory, Umbreon and Bronzong are some tough ones
Should I not do raids if I am level 24 with no max revives or pokemon above 2k cp
Go in with super tanks like blissey, snorlax, aggron, etc. And make sure others can carry the team until you can contribute
Is it possible to solo Rayquaza?
definitely doing a lot of raids by myself with multiple phones and re-lobby just waste time due to older phones lag like crazy.
I have a question here can i find a tyranitar raid
Any chance you could do a fast video on what stats to use on poke genie now with the new appraise. Thanks
