Another tip I’d recommend is utilize Party Up Play for raiding. There have been times where recommended trainer total was 5-6 and with using party play, we were able to take out a raid boss with just 3 of us.
I saw a group of three in a huddle at an airport while waiting to board. They were all playing!! Added them all right there and that has solely been the best thing I’ve ever done to get ahead in this game. Free gifts!! Exp bonuses!! Raid invites!! Friendship boost in damage!!! Crazy to think I played alone for so long
Massive Tip, especially for low head-count raids: create your 6 pokemon battle group ahead of time. If you are Not knowledgeable, let the game recommend you a battle party and click on the star to favorite it. This will drastically reduce your down time after your pokemon have been wiped, as you can revive and heal your 6 pokemon, and reselect the same party so you have your best attackers out, instead of the lower leveled 2nd and 3rd recommended battle parties.
I raided 15 s. mewtow . got 1 shiny on 9th raid 6/14/14 ivs . got three with 3 star and 0 hundo. first 3 star on 7th raid with 14/13/15, second on 14th with 15/11/15, third on 15th[ last raid] with 15/14/12. i was shocked by my today's luck.
Im very confused now... Every influencer of Pokemon go tell us u want low attack high def n stam but your saying high attack...which one is it? Im still kinda new
The best advice I got when I first started raiding and was getting one shotted by anything was too just use mons that are gonna be transferred anyways so you don't waste revives and potions when you aren't doing damage anyway (this only works if you are in a big group where they can beat it with or without you)
At the start of my account i used to capture wearher boosted wild pokémon (that can come all the way to lv 35) and evolve some of the bad ones to fill out raid team spots till i could afford a better option. Even if my team had pretty bad ivs overall it could still tank and hit pretty hard. Also try to focus on the counters for current raids and eventually u have teams for everything.
Level48 here I do agree with a lot of the information in this video, the one thing I want to say that could be controversial is. Just level up till 35-38 and only on 98% ivs or hundos. Reason why is because more often than not you will always get something better in the future even as a casual no need to spend so much stardust to comprise on bad IVs with 15 attack only to spend a lot of stardust. Because then you’ll be finding your self stardust hungry every time and it’ll make it feel like u have to play every double stardust event. Basically just be patient and consistent because eventually you get 98% ivs or 100 for the aesthetics of your account. Which is the main point of this game. To collect your coolest finds. Because you wouldn’t trade hundos or 98% but a 15/13/14 most likely youll trade if it’s common or not the #1 of its type specifically because most casuals and free to play have very limited space in Pokemon storage bags
My question is: why exclude any portion of the player base with local only raids? Like... how does that balance the game or how does it benefit anyone??
Worst event in over a year. Just barely missed the first mew two, 3hours later without seeing another. 12 gyms nearby. Niantic is at again. ( in north Salem Oregon)
The last few hours of the chance to remove frustration and I can’t get a charged tm for the life of me, even though they were in the in game shop two days ago.
One of the big problems is getting a small stable of megas at all. I came back during sinnoh tour and got decent palkia so I'm decently set up for almost all rocket takeovers, but i can't do any of the tier 0 raids effectively because I would need 8-10 people including myself to safely complete them. If I had mega energy for Gardevoir it would be almost trivial to do 7 man Mewtwo raids. It doesn't help new people that energy is so scarce before the first mega evolution
Most of the minor megas (blastoise, charizard, venusaur) have energy as rewards on pokestops, and your first gym spin of the day will net you 50 beedrill energy
@@jasonmetcalfe4695 the tasks are rare if your a bit farther away from large clusters of stops and even though Beedrill is a decent mega when it's good it's not nearly as useful as the Kanto starters. It's more that if you miss a launch/rerun of a good/great mega you could be sol for a year or more as a new player. I feel like the mega tasks could be a bit more since they seem more rare than the seasonal rare spawn tasks.
@@jasonmetcalfe4695 to be fair my wild and event luck has been solid. Two shiny Charizard from the horizon event for mega evolving and a solid shadow Groudon and a solid shiny Mewtwo is more than enough to make up for the lack of mega gardalivor and mega swampert. I just feel bad for the people that started during sinnoh tour and having to find groups for a string of some of the most powerful team anchors back to back like this.
Trying to find a welcoming local group is a pain. My local group I found on discord is extremely clicky. I tried raiding with them this morning when I saw their moring route schedule. I did 2 raids with them used almost 10 gems and then on the way to the 3rd raid I got stuck at a red light cause I was on a motorcycle and these jerks started the 3rd raid without me mins early. I even got there a minute early. I just decided to leave them and give up for the day. Maybe I can try a group tomorrow afternoon that's posted a raid meet up on camp fire. But having to follow strangers around sucks for this type of raiding.
It was snowing last weekend, so I started following other cars around to raids in the local community college parking lot. It's less awkward in a car than tagging along in person. I hope you find a friendlier group!
@@botanist62 yeah raid days are easy to local raid. I normally go to an area that has 8 gyms walking distance from each other and tons of people go so it's easy to get a full raid each time no matter the order I do them in. All without having to talk to a single person.
This game sorely needs better ways to connect. Discord is propping up the remote raid experience but Niantics incessant need to force people to play in person despite some communities having very few players is causing problems. We need the ability to talk amongst friends in game and see other players nearby. For a game played in groups they do a poor job helping us find each other.
I mean I was gonna go out and raid for Mewtwo and like I might go tomorrow but as soon as I get one I'll just go up against those with stronger ones (in PVP) so I dunno
I got a 13/13/13 shadow mewtwo I still need the hundo for PVP and the hopefully coming Mega So far I dont have a better Shadow but If I do get one today I was thinking about purifying it since its the perfect 13/13/13 Help (:
@@iVickster Thats fair and true but that just makes me unsure of if I should level it up at all since If I do get unlucky and end up with no hundo mewtwo for my life this would be the mewtwo "id leave just in case" which also means I might not end up with a shadoe mewtwo to level up after today I really have to wait out todays raids before thinking about it more
