For dodging instead of spamming the left or right swipe just wait until the screen flashes yellow right as it’s doing it’s move and you will dodge the attack….also try not to be attacking while this happens, you can’t dodge and attack at the same time ✌🏽

Actually it seems like dodging doesn't only reduce damage taken, but the way it is calculated. It seems like a super effective move is reduced + not super effective anymore. I would like to see more details about it, and the timings etc... Because it can be very useful

Imo dodging makes raiding more fun…. .in PvP you have to get all the bubbles at least and in raids you really just smash the button…… sad.. I feel more „skilled“ while raiding LOL
I got a 2307 (100iv) Dialga encounter from a raid earlier today, I had learned 3 hours beforehand what the 100 iv cp was. I have 15 balls plenty of gold razzes, and 15 balls later, I feel empty inside as it runs away
@@elovesthegym all raid bosses have a normal ‘level’ and a weather boosted level, I believe levels 20 and 25 respectively. Mine was not weather boosted, and therefore, a 100% iv level 20. Big sad.
some attacks like focus blast I time them in order to dodge. When the shining star appears on the top, swipe, and keep on tapping. It will dodge at the perfect moment and will let you attack. other attacks are quite difficult to dodge, like blizzard or hyper beam, or thunder, so you gotta count the amount of "fast attacks" it does before dodging. I often used to dodge blizzard as soon as it was prompted on the screen, but on some fights, the fast attack wasn't fast enough to let me dodge, so you better take the hit, so it won't affect your DPS.
Note about only allowing 10 remote players, this also includes the host who started the lobby and invited people by using a remote pass. So if two people are coordinating in-person to remote into a gym, remember that if they both invite 5 people, two people are not able to join because there are 12 remoters trying to get into one lobby.
Shiny Mewtwo on my first raid for Mewtwo was the best. I'd always wanted a Mewtwo. I started 4 months back and was so excited to get one. Although I got 3 more from GBL 🤭
tip: If you want to spin pokestop but you don't have a place in the item bag, just use the raid pass and spin a new one in the gym, you will spin the gym and still the raid pass. This is realy usefull for trainers that level up and not have space in item bag
You can use the lucky egg, in the middle of the fight, preferable at the end, so you get 1-2 extra minutes on it. If you get wiped out on the rejoin screen you can use items to heal revive, and also Lucky Egg. if you dont get wiped out .. just leave the rate at 10%, and pop your items. You will get the kill even if you fail to rejoin on time.
Also no raids will spawn if no one has their game open. You can test this at 5am when raids starts spawning eggs. Open your game and some nearby gyms will spawn raids. Also works for raid hour 20 minutes before the raid hour.
Firstly, I wanna mention that I am a new player and participated in very few raids. Today I did a raid successfully and returned home. After sometime saw another raid going on nearby. Went to the gym and joined the raid. As soon as the raid started "Move closer to interact with this gym" message appeared and I was kicked out from the raid. To correct you on your raid hours eggs show up 20 minutes before raid hour starts so if it 5:40 in your time zone eggs for raid hour will show up within the 20 mins for raid hour start
QOTD: Probably my best raid catch at the moment is my shiny regirock. I know it’s not that impressive, but I don’t really get to go raiding much after years of playing the game, I finally got my first (and so far only) shiny legendary. Gotta say, it was a really good feeling when it popped up.

Why does the box that lists near by pokemon and raids keep flashing an orange outline of tye box? It's not completely orange like a raid invite its just an outline that keeps flashing like a beacon.

Best raid catch is hard, maybe hundo dialga 2 days ago. Best experience however would be my first (and only) EX-raid early 2018 where i got a 98% Mewtwo. Still using it as my powerhouse, making sure no pokemon gets more CP than that beast

Listen I understand why people would want a Ready to start button instead of waiting for the timer to end but heard me out on why its going to be a bad idea. I have to rely on an app called Raid Party to get to battle in a group in a 5 star raid. Its great. However the game sometimes gets lagging and I can't see the level of the other players, sometimes their level is not great and often the game is slow to show what players jumped out. I have lost remote raid passes because of this. I myself because I find remote raids expensive had to drop out of an invite because of teams consisting of level 20's against defence deoxy. If I was forced into battles with underleveled teams I would have lost so many more of my remote raid passes. If there had to be a compromise. I would suggest that private lobbies would have the button to start the battle with other players also needed to press it for a unanimous vote to start before the timer runs out.
I got hundo Mewtwo :) But I wasn't able to catch it :( My luck is so bad I was able to catch every Mewtwo from Raid but not the hundo one I didn't even get a shiny :(

I hate the glitch when you’re remoting a raid and you run outta Pokémon and it takes you back to the normal screen and you can’t go back to it because it’s a remote raid.. or better yet, when you’re outta space for Pokémon and you can’t go back to the raid because it’s remote from your location. I’ve noticed they fixed a bunch of these, but I still get hit with it from time to time.
Can I just say that I live in a rural area and basically no one plays here but there is a gym right next door to me. So I basically can access it, except I'm alone doing the raid lol
The raid’s catch rate gets better as you use more balls, The Silph Road researched that, and it turns out that the last 5 balls have a better catch rate then the first 5. I normally use golden razz on the last 5 balls for a better catch rate.

Is dodging even viable? I feel like it rarely comes out when I want it to. The entire mechanic seems clunky imo

My first legendary raid that i ever did (gofest 2020) was a palkia raid and it was a 15/15/14 thats the only raid i did. That was my best catch

Shiny pokemon are only guarenteed if its a tier 5, it can still run away if it is a tier one or 3. dont know about megas

Moltres 15/15/14 IV during Kanto tour so it knows sky attack. Definitely my best raid catch.

That raid backout thing does not work, it throws you in anyways even with empty party of pokemon.
I once got two shiny guzzlords in a row. On my first two raids as well.
