Hi Jordan, not sure if you're aware but they make two models. One has the desk attachment, and one does not (reason being you can use your own existing sit/stand desk instead). I'm thinking of getting the model that has the desk attachment because my thought is if I want to use my own existing sit/stand desk I could just not attach flexispot's desk attachment. And when I want to use it, just attach it. Do you see any reason why this wouldn't work? Thanks!
I would love a video about your treadmill desk! I've thought for years that something like this should exist. Many of us spend untold hours at our desks. Why not put that time to double use?
Curious as to how this held up over years? I ordered this bike myself and got a faulty model right out of the box with an unbearably loud screeching sound when pedaling. Customer service has been a nightmare to deal with, new rep every time I reach out, no continuity. Wondering whether I just got a dud and should try again.
Not bad but I'm concern if you have an open container in the cup holder, would it spill if you move the bike either by peddling or manually move it? Your drink really wobbled when you pulled and wheeled it backwards.
Both of them allow you to keep active while doing otherwise sedentary activities. But desk bike has 4 durable caster wheels that lets you move it from room to room. You can use it in the living room, study room or even backyard. Besides, you can also use it as a standing desk when you want a rest from pedaling.
How comfortable *is* the seat? Do you notice it after a half hour or longer? What type of resistance does the bike use(magnetic/friction/other?) IME, magnetic resistance tends not to be strong enough for a really tough workout, although that might not be as much of an issue if you are working on work at the same time. Friction based resistance is effective, if not as smooth generally and tends to work well, so long as you don't crank it up too high, in which case bikes often see premature failure of bearings and other parts(including the resistance mechanism itself) due to the increased friction and load. Have you checked out the mechanism to see if it uses any standard parts? Some exercise bikes do use road bike parts and are easy(and cheap) to repair. Others use almost no standard parts, and are virtually impossible to get parts for after a few years have passed and that model is out of production. It's also unfortunate that exercise bikes(including this one) tend to use non-standard seats, so you can't just pick out a bike seat replacement and slap it on if desired.
Hey -- after 3 years, how do you like it? Any issues?
I like the idea!! I never knew something like that existed. Maybe I'll keep it in mind...

Almost three years later, are you still using it? How has it held up?
Same question! New Sub. Hopefully, I can read your reply. Thanks
It doesn’t last long. Mine stopped working after 1 year.
do you still use it today
The bike is nice but doesn’t last. Mine stopped working after a year. Very disappointed.
What happened?

Do the wheels have a locking mechanism so it doesn't slide when pedaling? Seems like a great idea, but perhaps needs a little tweaking on the design.
Yes, it's a gravity sensor, so once you put weight on them, they lock.
like the concept, wish it were more sturdy, but what's the difference between having this desk and just a normal desk with an elliptical underneath?

Thank you so much for your review Jordan
