Honestly it really does slide out that easily with a plastic liner. If people really want it to move more easily you can always put small caster wheels on the bottom of the plywood.

How did you do it?
It’s just a 1/2 inch plywood that slides on the bed. No wheels or bearings. Simple and cheap that has flawlessly worked for 4 years.
