    Works great....untill it gets wet or damp. I live in a very humid place . (Southeast Texas coast) that cardboard would last maybe one day

      You could simply replace the cardboard with a sheet of 1/8" thick pvc tile backer board found at any hardware store sold in 4x8 sheets and use green treated plywood problem solved
