Been breaking in a Semogue for 3 months now test lathering every other day and it is still not broken in ( lathers like a dog and lather dissipates fast ), any tips on speeding up the process?

Great video on. I've never used the Fat, but I would think a Semogue 620 would work well too

Thank you for the video. The Kent brush is looking like a nice brush indeed.
Interesting that you find such compatibility between this brush and the Fat as here in the UK the Fat is also re branded and sold under the Kent brand.

I’ve watched a few blogs about breaking in a boar brush I got myself a semogue 820 yesterday I washed it with dog shampoo then gave it a rinse and left it soaking in some dog conditioner. Then I used it perfectly soft great brush no problems

And if you want to stick to the Kent brand, MWF make Kent shaving soap too. It smells better than MWF and is cheaper too (in the UK anyway). Great video as always Con!

Another excellent video! Well done, Can. I recently bought the Fat, and I LOVE it. What I love in particular is the post-shave feel. It is by far my best soap, better than Catie's Bubbles, TOBS, Barrister and Mann, Soap Commander--you get my point. Seriously, I just love the Fat. That being said, are there any other soaps you've experience whose post shave comes close to the Fat's? I remember your speaking highly of Cold River's Select line. But other suggestions are welcomed.

Like you I have tried many others including the Cold River 'Puro Fresco',Stroppe Shop,Dapper Dragon and Shaver Heaven, and nothing comes close , for me it just feels sublime after a shave using the fat.I also don't have any issues lathering this king of soaps.

Michael Evic So Cold River's post shave doesn't measure up to the Fat's? Good to know, because I was considering purchasing a tin and some of its aftershave based on the video Con posted extolling the post-shave feel this product and its aftershave produced.

I think the adage YMMV really comes out to play as I think we all experience different benefits from all the great soaps out there and it comes down to "if it works for you" -'buy it,use it, and enjoy it'.It probably won't stop any of us from trying to find something better out there.

Great video like usually. One of my favorite soaps is Fat. I have never had any problems with that soap. Fat have a soul. She have a feelings and she needs use and water. I recommend to wet it sometimes, time to time, between use. If you are good to Fat she is good to you.

And it works well with any brush. Synthetic, badger, boar, horse. Soak it, it's important before using and she never disappoint you
