I was a little skeptical initially because of the length of the video, but lot's of good info and what seemed like very honest opinion. Thanks for putting this together.
I personally would like to thank you for that awesome review. I appreciate how in-depth you went with each pistol and personally the Staccato XC is my favorite. Keep up the good work and I hope to see more reviews from you
Awesome review. Thanks for taking the time to make such an informative video. The analysis was great. Much appreciated.
Good review and three fantastic guns! Congrats on such nice firearms.
Thumb up for your super complete explanation of those awesome guns
Sir, this was the perfect comparison for me. I purchased a Staccato XC about a year ago and have been looking at both the Atlas Erebus and the NHC TRS Comp as my next comped pistol that i have no real use for but NEED. Thank you for taking the time to explain all the little differences between each pistol.
Wonderful review! Love the XC and Erebus 🔥
More XC & Erebus videos 😂
great video, made sense.. very clear info and synopsis. thx
Great and super complete video of the very best guns. congratulations
Man, great comparison on these beautiful pistols! It’s hard to find longer more intensive reviews and I thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge of these comped rigs!
Excellent video! Thank you
tahnk you for this review. i bought atlas erebus!!! i ahvent heard any reviews that say negative things about atlas product. also thanks for nighthawk review..makes me to think twice about buying it
Love the summary of target customer market! Hilarious. I upgraded from a Staccato P to an XC to an Atlas Athena, then finally to an Atlas Erebus. I kept the XC and put a Cheely aluminum grip on it and it is very close to my Erebus. But the ergos of the Erebus are a level above (better blending of edges, etc).
Awesome video. awesome shooting
Great review, thanks.
Great video man
Outstanding review of these 3 guns. This was so detailed and exactly what I needed. I was torn between a Nighthawk TRS Comp and Erebus. I believe I will be buying an Erebus now. Thank You!!!
i have an xc and i plan on getting an artemis, an erebus, and probably an athena. sandhawk is probably the last thing i'll get as the waits are pretty lengthy. anyway, i like this video.
the slide on the artemis made me say "oh jesus" out loud, and pulling the trigger made me laugh. what a gun!
Good Review!!!
I have owned all three of these guns, and I kept the Erebus.
Did you get a bit of a sloppy slide fit too?
Great Review
Great video
great video
Great video I really enjoyed it , I agree with you I’ve seen better fit and finish with atlas over nighthawk
Nice comparison.👍🏻
Is very Insightful Video. Did you post the matrix scores recoil and such? Not a good shooter myself but I like the x c grouping. You're right about that night hawk they are heavy triggers that's why I sold mine.
Not sure whats more impressive, that gun or that hair!
Excellent video with very in depth detail to each gun. Best video comparing all three comp guns. I personally would take the XC due to best bang for your buck and keeps up with a $7k gun. Erebus is like a corner craving Porsche Gt3 just built for performance. NH TRS Comp, not really my cup of tea, doesn't out perform the XC and its more expensive and doesn't look as good as the Erebus.
Money aside, if Nighthawk is NOT the answer for finding a TOP quality double stack semi-auto comp pistol that can go head to head with ANY of these 3 pistols, what would it be ? And by TOP quality, I mean EREBUS quality.
@sleekfast11 I would rather take a Joe Chambers, XC, Infinity, Atlas Artemis, Charyn, Vanta 9 or Alchemy Hi-Cap, Taran Tactical Sandviper
have XC, Quantico HC.. eyeballing the Erebus for a future date but yep, LARPing ain't easy..
I've been coveting the TRS Comp in worn bronze/ steel.. those finishes looks amazing but I'm rough on guns.. so I usually go for DLC and hard chrome.
Must have ESP. Been training with staccato P Duo for about 2 yrs, mostly range work and defensive training with combo rifle/pistol. My trainer manages USPSA matches in his area, and has been pushing me to get started. Been doing USPSA for about 4 months, and naturally, I'm starting to consider a "race pistol" (atlas, infiniti, etc) or a step up such as Nighthawk, which factory tells is now 18-24 month wait time. "Thought" I wanted a Nighthawk (comp) pistol, UNTIL I heard you calling out their QC. NO WAY I want to get involved with a company that charges $$$ and sells me anything less then top quality. Not interested in sending back for "repair" when wait times are now 3-4 months (probably longer). Really appreciate some guidance, as most dealers where I live DON'T have any nighthawks at all, and buying off of gunbroker, aside from jacked up prices, means it's more hassle to reject the pistol, even if I can get the FFL to send back to them without me taking possession. Kind'a brings me back to staccato XC or Atlas, and what I wanted was something like a top quality nighthawk comp which I could use for both USPSA and Defense. Appreciate your comments and guidance. Thank you. (budget = up to 7k)
First step is probably the XC, has 98% of the performance and I feel a little better about beating it up without "worrying" since you can easily replace parts on it.
I've been looking for a dubble stack comp 1911 it's a really hard choice I would love to buy them all
Do you think Erebus will fit the box for IDPA CO? I heard that XC can be use for CO in IDPA.
My Hi-Point will outshoot these because it’s ported. You should do a video on that. 😂
GunPrime there in Alabama has on occasion had these three pistols at once.
Im in Bama also.
Is that birmingham pistol wholesale? I've looked at their site a few times but never driven up there, they do keep high end inventory though!
Still have the TRS up for sale? I’m interested
What’s the total length and height between Staccato XC vs Atlas Erebus?
Please please help. Any info was be great? Which 17RD magazine staccato, atlas and nighthawk has the best flush fit. I don't like the silver of the magazine.. which magazine shows less? I heard atlas magazine is a little longer so it show more? Thank you sir..
I personally like the Atlas DLC (black tube) because it doesn’t show. I haven’t seen the new Nighthawk magazines (until this year they ran staccato magazines), but the staccato magazines fit really well in the 17rd.
So the XC model technically has a full size slide on it? I figured it was cut slightly shorter….
Atlas, XC, NH, 💪
All bad ass, lucky man.......different opinion though, that XC won that beauty contest.🤓
No forward serrations on the nighthawk? Odd. A must have for most people.
Do you think the Cabot national standard would be comparable to these given that it's a 1911 but the cost is in the same ballpark.
The Cabot quality is certainly in range of these brands. I’ve only shot 1 Cabot, but it was very well assembled with great tolerances (a touch too tight honestly, had a tight barrel lockup that made it not as smooth to rack - which should work out nicely with more rounds). I wouldn’t compare it to these being a single stack, non-compensated gun though. It’s going to be closer to that 8-10 degrees of muzzle rise in 9mm and the grip makes it feel very different.
If you port a DWX it most definitely competes with these three firearms… you should check it out!
I own the DWX and non ported STI's.
The DWX doesn't compare. The DWX is a nice pistol, but its not the same.
DWX was on my list for a long time before it was released, it and the CZ TS2 will eventually be purchased. They fit a little different profiles as they are a mix based on the CZ75 vs the core 1911. The czechmate performance wise is also more than capable of competing with these, but its in a bit different class as well.
@@thefrogking481 I guess it’s relative to the shooter then. I have a ported DWX and it actually shoots better than a staccato XC when I compared the two. If by STI you are referring to the older model STIs I can’t argue with you since I haven’t shot them, but if you mean STI as in the current line of staccato pistols you are definitely biased. I’ve heard many people state that the DWX is superior to the staccato P stock.
@@smithersgtr8425 I’d definitely say a souped up czechmate is in a class above the dwx.
@@richardrackley2430 May I ask the configuration you chose to port your DWX? Did you do a chunk port or V8 style or something like that?
Keep in mind the staccato is also $1500-$2000 less
Can I request Nighthawk to do a 2.5-3 LBS trigger?
No, But I have a feeling one they'll allow it to happen!
Have erebus my brother has sti dpo omni now called xc have not shot trs but have handled one at shop does not feel that great otherwise it would be in the safe and have seen some Nighthawks with very questionable fit
Atlas it is lol I’m jk but XC would be nice with trigger upgrade I think I’m fine with the polymer grip
I wonder how a sand viper would do in the mix with those 3 pistols.......
Send one over and I'll be happy to do a nice comparison! 🙂 I'd venture to guess it would edge out the XC and be very close to the Erebus.
Shoots like an XC with very similar build quality.
Too much hype for me hahaha
Yeah the vipers from TTI are basically XCs in fancy suits. And from a couple examples I've seen don't even have as good of fitment sometimes
I think your right lot of people love the gun cause it’s looks but xc half the price and shoots as good or some say little better
THANK YOU for having a short intro. I hate the 30-180 second intro with annoying music. *cough* *cough* *schooch*
Xc would be my choice
I’ve never saw your channel but everything you said is right on the money it’s probably due to you being from Alabama like me were honest and know how to grow a watermelon.I want a Athena very bad I just hate I can’t handle one first
People selling their P for an XC is not an everyday thing or that common. Most just by the XC for range/ competition and use the P for everything else.
Gun stores that won't let you hold the firearm before you purchasing are dumb. It won't lower the value of the firearm at all. Also, any of these firearms can be purchased by someone stretching their budget.
This is like watching someone buy a Formula 1 car and seeing them only drive it through school zones and through a small town, never going over 30mph lol
How do they run in a competition? How are they when running doubles and transferring targets? 24:20 the issue isnt how he pulled the trigger, its his poor grip technique
im a staccato, own a few of them, including the XC, it still completely PISSES ME OFF when you buy a $5000 gun, and it comes with a fukking PLASTIC TRIGGER!!
Them are some nice pistol. I got my first 2011 coming and can't wait. On a bad note. That is the shitty foam job I ever seen .
Buy once cry once
Please open your damn eyes when your shooting a red dot
Do you do a little work on pistols like like triggers and ignition parts
