And let's not forget that he also not only narrated during the theme song for The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, but also voiced a fictionalized version himself known as Vincent van Ghoul as well as Professor Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective. Vincent Price was the least likely man to have a duet on the greatest single and title track of the best-selling pop album of all time, but there you go.
Michael didn't hire him. Rob Temperton from Heatwave wrote Thriller and Vincent Price's Rap. And hired Price, through Quincey Jones wife knowing Price. 😎 Mr. Temperton never fully receive his full recognition. RIP Sir.
The laugh did not disappoint! Kudos to the band, the camera man for slowing closing in to the the final close up, and the lighting effects at the end. We needed this🎯🎯🎯
Agreed with everybody! Although I do feel that a few people (if only a very very small handful) do come close, iconically. Vincent Price could be just as funny as he could be scary, and I think he took it to an artistic level. He certainly was one-of-a-kind! Some pictures of him kind of remind me of Salvadore Dali a little bit. Might just be crazy though if it's just me xD

I love how Michael Jackson had Vincent Price do the Thriller Rap and his laugh I agree with Hollywood make up artist Rick Baker that his laugh was indeed raucous
You can tell this man genuinely loved being a part of that song. Vincent Price is a rare type of legend like Stan Lee where he only became more legendary with age to the point that he's more well-known old than he is young. It basically means his work isn't gonna get any older any time soon.
I got to see him on a lecture tour in the 80s, talking about his life and career. He was indeed very warm and funny. I was lucky enough to meet him afterwards. A true gentleman who took time to talk to his fans.
He was the King of Horror. No one could ever be as scary as him. And not many young people know who he is anymore. It's a real shame. His memory is dying.
And the fright is effortless. He could be singing happy birthday and small children would probably cry as their parents were captivated, to find out why that birthday was so damn happy 😂😂😂
I remember when i was little, I saw Edward's scissor hands for the first time and I was so fascinated by Vincent Price, he was so elegant and unique. There's no one like him.
My first contact with Vincent Price was in Thriller, my second was "Edward Scissorhands", recently watched "House of Wax" and a few others of his movies for the first time, what a legend.
What a great thing you did.. I have most of his movies and I have enjoyed every one them.. Witchfinder is rough… Lol. There you see his true acting as evil. Amazing!
Vincent Price was a great actor. It's still fun to watch eruns of movies he was in. My mom and her brothers, my uncles, never missed a Vincent Price, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, etc., movie..
I still remember his TileX commercial,lol..I'm telling my age..R.I.P to legends Joan Rivers,Vincent Price, and of course the Thriller ,The King of Pop,Micheal Joe Jackson
He was definitely one of a kind with his scary haunting voice, nobody can pull that off like Mr. Vincent Price.. you were a gem and still are!!💎 Love you!! just one of the actors in whole world that we should be happy to have seen, heard and met!.. If you were lucky enough! To meet real true Hollywood like Mr. Vincent Price.you are lucky!! He is missed by many.. You are there with Maryiln Monroe and James Dean and Hank Williams. .. I can go on... But there are alot of great people....like you. .. May you rest in peace.
Goosebumps baby! On both arms and legs. The laugh at the end with that stare into the camera made him look like evil incarnate (imagine the devil from Ghost Rider but older)
Vincent Price was a legend on his own. He was the only person to do his part on thriller. The genius of Rod Temperton for his writing, Quincy, MJ and so many others lives on. I remember watching Thriller on TV. I will never forget it. RIP Vincent Price and Rod Temperton. You guys left us so many precious memories.❤
Vincent Price has a voice that nobody can match. An amazing actor, and a narrator who will never be forgotten. His voice will live on forever for all generations to hear and stories to enjoy! RIP Vincent Price. ❤❤
That laugh along with the background music and thunder still gives me chills, no one can tell a good horror rap story like Vincent Price may he R.I.P. 🙏🙌
Can’t fall asleep and for some reason I started singing Thriller. I had to recite the monologue. Then I needed to hear it and down the rabbit hole 🕳 I go... and how lucky am I stumbling onto this clip?!?! I love RUclips. Thanks for posting 🙌🏽
Vincent Price was a horror icon. His voice still give me chills.
He was the best horror voice ever for the Thriller
yup, especially from one of my favorite classic horror film by Vincent Price: House of Wax and Haunted Palace
And let's not forget that he also not only narrated during the theme song for The 13 Ghosts of Scooby Doo, but also voiced a fictionalized version himself known as Vincent van Ghoul as well as Professor Ratigan in The Great Mouse Detective. @@DennisLiewDennis I have house of wax in 3D
The flashing lights and thunder we're not scripted, that's just a thinf Vincent Price could do on command.
"The funk of 40 thousand years..." That's still my standard for funk, to this day.
We still have 39964 years of funk

Lol yes!!
Yeah, that's some pretty old funk right there.😂👌🏻
Right?! Best part.
Michael Jackson was spot on hiring Vincent Price to do that rap at the end of Thriller. Price was the King of horror.

that laugh makes me shiver since I was a child

i legit cried when i heard it for the first time
He was slick laughing for real
We lost a Legend when we lost Vincent Price. Nobody comes close to his iconic voice.
Chris Lee disagrees ;-)
@@q1q2q23 well they were best friends and competitors for a reason.
They were both talented entertainers, Joan Rivers & Vincent Price

My favorite thing about Vincent price was that no matter what he was doing, he always seemed like he was having a lot of fun.
He also never seemed to take himself too seriously.
I miss Vincent. Price so much. I hope he's having a great time in heaven
LilZebra of course he is, he’s hanging with Michael ;-)

It wasn't Michael Jackson. It was Rod Temperton that wrote it as suggested by Quincy Jones.

One take on late night TV and he does it perfectly, even the laugh. What a pro.
I used to be so scared of this part in the song, but now really it’s just music to my ears
I used to hide in my closet when my older sister played this part of the song. 😂
He and his wife were the kindest, most courteous, giving people you’d ever meet
Tomorrow he passed away he has 30th years rest in peace

People throw around the expression "There will never be another like X", but, in Vincent's case, that is absolutely true!
In this case there’ll never be another person like Michael Jackson or Vincent Price
He was the King of Horror. No one could ever be as scary as him. And not many young people know who he is anymore. It's a real shame. His memory is dying.
Vincent Price could even do dry comedy. Saw him on the Jack Benny show. He was doing comedy with Jack.
And the fright is effortless. He could be singing happy birthday and small children would probably cry as their parents were captivated, to find out why that birthday was so damn happy 😂😂😂
Vincent price had the most unique laugh
I love his voice... 😓
