These men were the end of an era. With the passing of Sir Christopher, it has become painfully obvious that there will never again be three actors (let alone one) who will emit the level of class that these 3 men did. I'm not okay with that. It makes me sad. But, this alarming realization does make Vincent, Peter and Chris all the more special.
For over two years this era has been over. I feel the void more and more each day. I'm glad I have access to their interviews and films. It creates a warnesss in my heart that not much else can.
I'm only 36, but I grew up on these films. Pre-internet...I had accumulated all of their films on VHS by the mid nineties (paying upwards to 200.00 for one out of print video tape). I was a teenage detective hunting down these films without the use of any internet. Lots of reading, researching and long distance calls were involved (and pissed off parents I might add). I have since owned all of their films on DVD...and now bluray. I will continue to purchase them in whatever form they come out on.
God bless these men and their families.

On a whole... As much as I like Christopher Lee and I do.
I'd rather sit with Peter Cushing , Vincent Price and depending on how he was behaving at the time Oliver Reed.
Peter Cushing was indeed a gentleman. Quiet soft spoken and a man who loved his fans. Vincent Price who in reality wasn't anywhere near as scary as he behaves in movies. He had a wonderful nature and sence of humour. And made no bones about his deep care for fans. For a horror movie actor who didn't scare young fans who adored him.
Oliver Reed I see as an amazing talent .
But he was far too unpredictable. When he was drunk (unfortunately more often than not) no person was safe from his practical jokes and sadly often bad temper. He was ok when he was sober. Like he was here.

This may be a bit off subject but as a boy every day of my life my mind would not miss a single day of thinking about Christopher and Peter Cushing as well as PP&M no connection of course but they were most important in my mind through out the years. The first time I ever saw Lee and Cushing was on a 4 minute 8mm film I would play on my little movie projecter. Later I saw Horror of Dracula in its full form on tv and I was hooked. I always wanted to meet them and talk but that was not to be. I did meet PP&M many times and befriended them. I wonder if Lee's brother is still around?

This must be 1973, the year that The Three Musketeers' was released. That explains why there's no mention of Lee's big Bond baddie role Skaramanga in 'The Man With the Golden Gun' - it was released the following year, 1974.
What an elegant man Christopher Lee was - matched only by the great Vincent Price in stature and style! Lee, Price and Cushing were and still are the classiest and most exciting horror stars ever.
Note how Oliver Reed stands up for the ladies, and also for the great Peter Cushing. Say what you like about Ollie, he had beautiful manners and he knew and respected a gentleman when he saw one! He could have been a huge international movie star as successful as Michael Caine and Sean Connery, had he the appetite for it and been willing to uproot himself from his beloved England and live in the US. He was offered the Bond role at about this time, but turned it down and it went to Roger Moore. I think Oliver Reed would have made a fantastic 007!
I was lucky enough to meet Christopher Lee and his wife in the year 2002. Even elderly and a little frail, they were a handsome and head-turningly glamorous couple! Her hair was still jet black and worn in that sleek, elegant bun, and they were both beautifully dressed. I believe Mrs Lee was a model in her youth.
Thank you for sharing this very special upload. What a guest list! The amount of charisma in the room that night must have made for a wonderful and heady atmosphere.
