Would be really great if you could make a roadmap video for each of the roles
hey coding jesus great content was just wondering you think i could be preparing for quant trade roles in college and then have quant dev as a backup option
How to kickstart into this quant dev roadmap and using data science into it?
1. be >140 iq
2. do well in competitions
3. study for interviews and apply
@@gameacc6079 yes just be realistic , this is a very specialized field and highly complex
S tier:
1. Alpha Quant
2. Quant trader
Cant wait for top tier sarcasm.🙌
which trading platforms can be ueed for stock futures with proper orderflow an orderbook, yet afordable for a beginner?
Glad to see alpha quant at S tier. I think R is equivalent to python in this space
Guys, I am not a quant, or a youtuber, I am just a guy who use his mind. Search me up and will know me.
For trading, you just need to know statistics, and a little bit of probability. And here is the hint, you need 3-4 standard deviations as your resolution.
resolution of what?
do quant firms employ data engineers also??
Do Prop traders use quants to place trades ?
How do i learn quant trading?
I'm interested in it,any pointers ?
nice that you are back hahaha also you became much more likeable somehow. in your old videos you appeared arrogant sometimes
How does cyber security factor into the operations of quant trading firms? Could you elaborate on how companies that employ quant developers utilize the services of cyber security specialists? Specifically, I'm interested in understanding the common cyber security threats these companies face and the measures they implement to protect their sensitive data and trading algorithms. Additionally, how do cyber security teams collaborate with quant developers to ensure the overall integrity and safety of trading systems?
There’s no quant-related cyber security teams. Quant developers don’t work with cyber security specialists at all.
Bro😅😅👍 👍
This should be edifying.. If (it is) any consolation, considering hiring you to code the holy grail🙏
why do you need 5 tiers if only using 3
Genuinely curious as a new quant; you are “coding Jesus” not “finance Jesus”. Do you feel that what you do requires software expertise over finance expertise or vise versa?
He’s an swe
one benefit in this industry is ,physics ,math and some software skills, physics is crucially important because this field operates at low latency
What degree would you suggest CS? Finance?
I’m curious coding jesus thinks but math/statistics most likely, then cs, then finance for quant. Financial engineering is also offered at some schools.
Not finance lol. Cs maybe if you take lots of math classes, but mostly pure maths/stats degree
do you think you could have Gary's Economics (the ex-CitiBank trader) on here for a casual discussion of your more abstract, nuanced opinions on trading and the industry? would be interesting to see your opinions & justifications, especially if conflicting
😍😍😍😍
Can you land this kind of job without a university degree? If yes what companies hire people that dont have a defree but have the knowledge?
Without a degree entirely? 99.9% not. Without a relevant degree? Yes, but harder. Need to position oneself correctly (this is dependent on the person, no general advice here).
You should mention network engineer too!
thats the main one!
falls into hardware engineer her
Falls into DevOps
well that's a secretive field shrouded in secrecy , however its the backbone of these firms
I hate math and I day trade everyday 😅
What about a fundamental analyst at a quant trading firm?
Doesn’t exist
it exists. prices are not random ;)
@@marketstitan check 1 second time frame to show price difference , price is random too much noise
@@Andile-jz1vs Of course because it is one second time frame huhuuh
@@marketstitan point is quant and hft involves massive amounts of data not aggregated data that uses filtering to appear "perceived" useful by people who don't know anything about finance
What is coding Jesus opinion to a masters in computational neuroscience?
good
Hi, I'm from south Africa. Day trading is very famous here, we do this individually and make use of technical analysis. So since this is all exposed to, I'm wondering Why don't you trade for yourself as a Quant trader, wouldn't it be more beneficial doing it while you work as a quant trader also
same from SA however this field is a new dimension from "retail trading " which rely on intuition
@@Andile-jz1vs are you a quant trader yourself or are you looking into the field
@@relebohilemasita4411 network engineer not developer on spare time learn about quant network infrastructure
Everyone can code except for a floor trader..
Hehehe 😂 I know you don't think much of day traders. Why did you even mention them?
