As a Ridley player, I can confirm every single thing you said is correct
But mostly the fact that up b sucks
Like seriously why can't we just aim it, like every space animal and pit and hispanic pit and every teleport?
I find it quite useful as a Ridley main. Can be amazing to counter edgeguard, as nobody ever expects it. Plus, it has a lot of priority so it counters most options. Then, if they try to spike it they get hit away. Its great to recover, if you position correctly

@@YourCrazyDolphin Imagine having a move that can move anywhere, that spikes, has high priority, and put that on a character with 3 jumps and a ranged command grab.
@@sheez7734 It would work the same as several other characters, and already has multiple angles. That would be more valid if it was just straight up or down, but instead it is a tilted plus sign- Ridley already has a wide range of motion out of it, it just can't be controlled.
