    (Single) use rocket pack for people (backpack form factor) and (single use) rocket in ejection seats, and escape pods makes a lot more sense than parachutes, would work anywhere, not just planets with thick atmosphere.

    Id love it if helmets eventually had customization unique hud elements/icons to each manufacturer, maybe 2-3 sets per helmet. With customizable colors ofc.

    Can we get a cool inner thoughts mechanic for the purpose of investigations, where you find a dead body. One of the prompts that you get if you focus on the body could be “examine wound(s).” And then either your character or a message alert pops up and says, it appears this person was stabbed with a blade. The purpose of this is very subtle storytelling for what might have taken place in the event of a character death. This could add to general encounters or even investigation missions where it is just a nice bit of detail.

      It makes sense to do it for medical game play too. I believe it has been discussed. Also things like punctures in space suit that need to be fixed, plugged up for repair or an emergency.

    Shattered Horizon (a cool tech demo/exploration about true 6dof newtonian physics first person combat in 0g) had "stealth mode" which disabled all suit assists including recoil compensation and active sensors.

      IMO Much not a toggle but just plain choices and consequences thing; having a glass front helmet offer more visibility but less protection etc.

    Thinking systematically, when thrusters "try" to compensate weapon recoil on an empty fuel, that should still give the player a bit of negative thrust?

      Exactly that question got me confused as well.
      They're talking about designing everything with systems in mind but then seem to put work into preventing these systems from interacting. How would an EVA thruster know you're firing your gun and prevent the recoil moving you through space if recoil wasn't just an animation on your crosshair instead of an actual system which has thrust attached to it?

      My understanding was that it won't be a thing in 3.23 because there's no fuel either. Your recoil will always be compensated for, but in the future when fuel systems come into play gun recoil would come into play and affect your momentum as well

    can we have that if we use are multytool with tractor beam or the bigger tractor beam and tractor like boms of the c1 or other ship and drop then when we let the beam go and when the bom hits the grond it explode instead of just laying on the grond

    27:00 IMO the player should stick to a ship no matter speed, IF IN SPACE
    Once the attached player and ship enter atmosphere, then atmospheric resistance, and gravity should peel the player off
    It would be a cool player skill to learn WHEN to detach from the ship, if they think the ship will actually enter atmo

      That only makes sense if the ship flies in a straight line. As soon as it turns or spins the player should fly off even in space. The thrusters on the suits are way smaller than the ships.

      The speed should be unimportant, thats true. But hard acceleration or decelerations (or change of course) should definetly unstick a player, if the forces are higher than that what the gloves can produce.

    No need parachutes.. just need Iron man style ion thrusters that are used in emergency only, to avoid the splat.

      Imagine the different manufacturers methods. Crusader thrust pack, consolidated outland grav arrester, MISC bubble bouncer, Drake with just a parachute.

    Regarding jumping out in atmo, ever heard of parachute !!! Or in a more scifi way, of short duration jetpacks allowing the user to slow down drastically before landing on the planet surface, based on user triggering it. As a way to drop in an atack force !!!

      Speaking of jet packs, it would be nice to have them in case you leave ship thrusters on and it hovers the ship out of the jump range to where you can’t get in. It would be super helpful imo

      Parachutes area just cooler that jet packs here.
      Thrusters area part of our daily life in the verse. Land using up thrust... Or variations... So much control.
      Parchutes remove the degrees of freedom, so down is a constant you can only affect a bit, forward again is going to occur.
      Sideways is much freeier, and it's totally different. Being good at HALO drops is then a skill to learn... Not just a spaceship you.

    43:25 i think maybe you shouldn't mitigate the effect of speed. I like the idea that if you're traveling really fast you have to hit that button that has you latch on really fast. It's an instant cause and effect balance too get you to control the speed you eva into an object.

    Eventually, I would still love to see the SATA ball "in game." It would be really cool to go to set a ball tournaments around the universe. Similar to ship racing tournaments and such

    Parachutes don't work on airless moons or NASA would be using them for landing in place of the rockets. We need jetpacks!

      Easiest way to implement it would be to turn it into a backpack slot who gives you a good forward thrust in 0G.

      @@thekaxmax What? There are plenty of planets with atmospheres that have no nitrogen. And currently in Stanton I can think of one example being Yela. The atmosphere of Yela is thin but present and has no nitrogen.

    Jared, I think the "cool thing" you remember them calling it was "Inverse Kinetics"...I believe that was the term used in the citizen con demo and stuff...which admittedly does sound really cool to me!

      I’m actually setting mine up lol! There is a software I’m using that enables a dual sense input be converted to a keyboard Keybinds. So like x on the controller could be x on the keyboard or whatever other button I want x mapped to. Then you can go into SC’s control mapping menu and make it so that when x is tapped your character jump. The big one is using a shift key. Because using a shift key enables you to take a controller with 25 inputs and almost triple it. You could tap x. You could double tap x. You could hold L1 as a shift key and tap x for another input. And finally hold L1 and double tap x for another input. It is entirely customizable. I have run into a bug where some actions bugged out and won’t let me remap for some reason. The example I have is ship weapon firing. For some reason it isn’t letting me remap it all of a sudden (even though it let me remap it before). If you want a link for the software I’m using, just let me know and I can post it in this thread.

      Oh and also PLEASE CIG, WE NEED A UI OVERHAUL FOR PAUSE MENU ITEMS SUCH AS THE KEYBINDING SECTION. Like the keyboard image that shows all default Keybinds. That should be dynamic so that when you change a Keybind the keyboard image dynamically shows the right keybind. I love the automagnifying glass that it does to zoom in on the image but as someone who never uses Default control schemes, I can’t make use of this image. Also there are some keybind actions that don’t let you use shift keys/ modifier keys in addition to a second key to make the action work. I have to use that other software and establish my modifier key on that software instead of in SC. It is fine that i figured out the work around, but would be nice if all actions allow for modifier keys to perform a different action than the key itself. Anyways! lol!

    Instead of parachutes for the single seat ejection when in atmo. Why not just envelope the seat in a airbag similar to the mars rover, bounce around harmlessly. Added fun of not knowing where you will land.

      That could be fun, but Star Citizen has such dramatic beautiful landscapes, that drifting down with the wind blowing past you and your suits systems chirping notifications at you would be very atmospheric after your ships catastrophic failure leading to ejection.
      Plus, if people couldn't see out, they'd quickly get impatient waiting for when they landed.

    I don't have a problem with a switch in options to turn off UI Interactions, I just don't see it as a necessity. All you need to do is to place a delay on its appearance. If you make it so you have to pause over an item before it makes its appearance. (A delay of a second or less should do the trick) You won't see each of the interactions on the screen popping up. Only the ones you focus on.

    20:00 i feel you should just control your speed the same way you do your ship. Use the scroll wheel, that way u dont need to fully cap the speed for it to feel good. Have a scm speed for eva and then have it less controlable the faster you go

    Just wondering if jetpack is going to be a usable thing in low gravity planets or asteroids with low gravity also.
    It sounds plausible, i would not be surprised this is also going to be something that might probably work then.

    Questions regarding the design, which looks excellent, fresh and modern. How do align or check new objects for having the same design language, that new objects fits in properly. Are there any design rules? Which ones? Can you name some?
    Second question: Will we seen once parts of the the universe which have a different design?

    Just to be clear: what do they mean with speed in milliseconds? Is this more a problem with the speaker himself/herself? Yes sometimes there is a slash missing between ms, but it's still meter/second. This was very odd.

    If there are different pros and cons for armor because some will not have eva thrusters (11:30) how will that effect already purchased pledge store gear?
    You need your hands free to "hand walk" on surfaces. How will that work when you want to attach to a surface then use a weapon? Being able to attach your feet to a surface would be nice in that instance.
    What are your thoughts on eva racing?
    Will you be able to "kick off" of a surface if your feet hit first?
    Will we have a speed indicator so we can tell if impact (at least with a stationary object) will kill us?
    Can you drag wounded players in eva?
    Can you throw objects in eva?
    Being shot in the head is much more damaging than being shot in the legs, are there plans to add a reverse orientation feature so that you can get momentum head first then change to legs first with your weapon aimed in the direction of travel for eva?
    These aren't questions I expect to be answered, I just hope the devs are thinking about them.

    I think looting should be per item and not grab all - that way your not just hoovering stuff up in the middle of a fire fight. If your in danger then choosing to lower your guard to loot should be a desision with some weight - it also adds urgency and a sence of "whats most important? what should I grab first?"

    Really excited for the new EVA, so tired of Face planting on the deck every single time I try to get into a ship gravity. Are we gonna be able to turn off the gravity?
    Also, a question I didn’t see asked was how is using a tractor beam to pull something with significantly more mass than you going to work with a new EVA? Will it use fuel?

      They said you can turn off gravity and also a ship will lose gravity if the gravity generator is damaged.

    Stealth should be a factor of armor. So, someone in a light stealth armor set could hide their presence on another's ship, as well as defeat basic fps sensors. A counter to this would be your 'exploration' suits with better sensors being able to intermittently spot stealth suits to purpose-built (military) suits with anti-stealth sensor capability.

    EVA question, can we have an "accept" option to be tractor beamed please? many times, even now if we're stuck, another player has to knock us out, or shoot us,
    to be able to tractor beam us to safety. a "accept tractor beam" would solve a lot of these problems, especially for medics and it will also be helpful, if you ran out of fuel in EVA.
    will players be called to help and stop player takeovers on distribution centers?
    it will give the police orgs something to do, other than patrolling brios and stopping com links from being hacked.
    the stance, i can imagine prone being an issue inside some, well, ALL drake ships...
    we already have stand, crouch and prone in gravity, we should have the same options in zero-g.

      milliseconds are mesuring time, meters per second are used to mesure speed. You can't convert milliseconds to m/s and vice versa

    I feel like Animations should tie in with your general reputation stance. For example for someone who is super lawful and goody two shoes, they get more “heroic” type poses and animations. If someone is the type who is KOS and consistently a low-no moral character, their animations should be a bit more sinister. Like with takedowns you have good rep you tend to takedown people in a non-lethal sense like slamming a dudes head on a guard rail to knock them out as opposed to a mischievous person who just throws the guy off the balcony to their doom. Same could be applied to EVA animations where you have more heroic poses in flight if you are good and more sinister poses when you are bad. I know this comment added like 10 more years of development to the game if implemented but a fan can dream lol!
    Edit*** I got caught up in explaining the idea but forgot to say what the purpose of the idea would be. So when you meet a player in the verse there is no way to really know a persons intent. It makes it so you have to shoot first and ask questions later. But my idea would add to a visual story telling that is informative to the player. You see a guy running around with a slight hunched posture, or notice he is throwing people off balconies with his takedown animation, you can really quick, perceive the type of player they are going to be before they get too close to you. If the person has a more confident/ proper pose, they might be a friendly person. This rewards players who are a bit more perceptive than others. It would be a very subtle difference but if you look close enough you could see the difference.

    please for the love of God add both push and pull as well as mag boots. make the mag boots locked to a specific armor. like a Cowboy bebop style space suit that specifically lets you use mag boots with the press of a button. a two-piece armor set just like the two that specialize in cold/heat resistance. the response to that was soul crushing.

    On EVA Take downs. can you "take down", when there is no down or friction?
    I mean, even to stab someone with a knife you would need to hold them first, to not push them away with your stab. Same for fists. So to me seems like when EVA take downs become a thing, they would problably animate some form of hand movent around "head" or "neck".
    Like cutting throat, or breaking neck of target.
    Maybe even limiting EVA takedowns to knife only.
    Even better, it would be amazing if you have some item on you that represents your EVA fuel, and you can take down and steal oxigen and fuel from enemies to go further on your EVA.

    Please please. listen to thw community here. Keep EVERYTHING you have with item interaction.. but add the step to make it interaction mode... or have a toggle for visibility on the keyboard (not an option in the menu)... WE DONT WANT TO SEE INTERACTION POPUPS ALL THE TIME. And we get it its only when your near or looking at something... but this game is pretty we want to be looking at stuff WITHOUT A POPUP. Thats the best part of the interaction system. That its a toggle. And your getting rid of it. And seem to be flippant about the community directly telling you we want to keep the toggle. Just add a step that if you hold f when not interacting with anything it toggles the interaction display on or off. That would perfectly fix the biggest concern thw communuty has with it right now.
