    • reduce 13-Inch Gun Size
    • use Lighter Weight Main Tower
    • use Lighter Weight Secondary Tower
    • check Turret Armor Scheme
    • reduce Deck Armor Values to 4-Inches
    • reduce Secondary Tower Guns to 1.0-Inch Guns with +20% Barrel Length
    REDUCE FOREWEIGHT OFFSET
    • change Bow Turret to Single-Barrel
    OTHER CHANGES
    • maximize Ship Range
    -- at 3,886km the Battleship is a Coastal Defense Vessel
    -- 5,000km to 10,000km Ship Range is recommended for High Seas Combat
    • reduce 6-Inch Guns to 4-Inch Guns
    • reduce Ship Speed to 18 Knots
    The 4-Inch Guns may not be as good as 6-Inch Guns against Cruisers; but, by the time Naval Combat does occur (1895AD - 1900AD), this Battleship Design will be obsolete; as well as, New Technology could improve this Warship Design; such as, allowing for 6-Inch Guns to replace the 4-Inch Guns.

    One way of fixing the Foreweight Offset Unbalance is by making the Bow Turret a Single-Barrel Turret; while, keeping the Stern Turret a Double-Barrel Turret.

    • Minimum Shipyard Construction Cost
    • Maximum Shipyard Construction Cost
    • 1-Year Shipyard Construction Time (for consistent Shipyard Construction Payments - January to January); and, having Increased Ship Size Construction available every January.
    ?How many Tons do you need for your Shipyard Expansion in order to construct a 11,000 Ton Hull?
    Select the Shipyard Expansion Option that fulfills the 11,000-Ton Hull.
    • It won't take 2 Years to complete the Shipyard Expansion Project.

    My Battleship Designs are Slow Warships; but, most RUclips UA:D Players want to have Fast Battleship Designs.
    15 Knots to 20 Knots is reasonable for 1890s Battleship Designs.

    You are increasing the Gun Diameter which falls between #.0-Inch and #.9-Inch.
    The Gun Barrel Length Adjuster are the other Buttons to the Far Right.
    Larger Diameter Shells have greater Inertial Energy than Smaller Diameter Shells.
    • assuming Length-Diameter Ratio is the same
    • assuming Shell Velocity is the same
    You need ...
    • 13.0-Inch Main Turret Guns
    • 4.0-Inch Secondary Hull Casemate Guns
    • 1.0-Inch Tower Secondary Guns
    ... to reduce the Overall Displacement of your Battleship
    Tweek the Funnel Layout for better Engine Efficiency.

    1890s Gun Technology is very poor.
    One, or Two, Barrels is a matter of Combat Attack Theory versus Warship Design Theory.
    For Financial Expense Purposes, Single Barrel Turrets are desirable.
    In the 1890s, Warship Designs are still experimental; but, Warship Design Concepts are also becoming standardized.
    • Each Nation has its own priorities concerning Warship Designs

    I like starting with the 1890AD Campaign; because, I want to create Torpedo Boats as Port Defense Vessels.
    Torpedo Boats are The Smallest and The Cheapest Warships to Design & Construct; therefore, they would be useful for deployment in Newly Acquired Ports that are too small for Battleship Hulls and Cruiser Hulls.
    Thus, during the Legacy Fleet Creation Phase, I would Design & Construct a Torpedo Boat that would be deployed in every Start-Up Port.
    TORPRDO BOAT DESIGN
    • 1 Torpedo Tube Launcher
    -- Minimum Torpedo Reload
    • 1 1.0-Inch Gun
    -- Maximum Barrel Length
    -- Minimum Ammunition Reload
    -- Maximum Penetration Components AP Shells
    -- no HE Shells
    • Minimal Hull Length
    • Minimal Hull Beam
    • Minimal Hull Draft
    • Maximal Engine Efficiecy Funnel Layout
    • Maximal Engine Size
    • Maximal Speed
    The purpose of this Torpedo Boat Design is to have a Paper Tiger Port Defense Fleet.
    Actual Combat Torpedo Boat Designs could come later.
    Whenever you acquire a New Port, you place one of these TBs into the New Port.

    The 13"/37 Gun (Single-Barrel and Double-Barrel) has an AP Shell Belt Penetration of 20.1" at 15,000m and 39.1" at 1,000m.
    The 13"/37 Single-Barrel Gun has an AP Shell Maximum Deck Penetration of 2.5" thru 3.3" between 10,000m and 12,500m.
    Therefore, Deck Armor of 4-Inches should suffice.
    I don't understand the Accuracy Values.
    • most likely HE Values and AP Values of hitting the Warship Hull in General
    • To-Hit Belt Chance and To-Hit Deck Chance aren't being represented
    The To-Hit Chance may be a factor in a Chance For Shell Explosion.
    • affects Richocet Chances
    • affects Armor Penetration Chances

    Granted that it requires a lot of RNG, but I used to like to try and force Unrest up if I have a government that isn't very helpful, like Japan's starting one, while keeping the Naval Prestige high-ish. Usually, by winning a lot of battles on the ocean, but staging a bunch of doomed naval invasions or driving up unrest politically. That'll trigger a drive towards a more favorable party, with a better GDP growth modifier to kick off a better economy. Then, you have to get lucky, but get yourself some good oil-producing territories and turbo your GDP.
    Hopefully, they haven't nerfed player economies super badly since I last played--it's been a few months since I've loaded the game up.

    Y’know - just stumbling upon this - it’s so weird watching a vanilla version of this game. I’m so used to modded campaigns because the majority of the major content creator who plays and promote this game don’t actually like how the base game is coded to some extent or another.
    And, yeah, submarines are in the game, and, yeah, most players hate them with a burning passion. When the enemy starts built them, prepare for your most valuable assets to be instantly destroyed without any meaningful way to stop it, because ASW really doesn’t do a whole lot to prevent submarines last time I checked!
    Additionally, to the best of my knowledge, the developers have no desire to incorporate aircraft carriers into the game. So, think of it like an alternative history, where the aircraft carrier concept never took off - pun intended.

      Lol. Good to know. And yeah. Part of the problem is the AI cheats are massive. So im not sure ASW will matter. By the time I have WW1 ASW tech the AI will be on WW2 subs lol.

    Witness worst ever bb for japan.
    Main caliber is way too big.
    Secondary wich is important early is totaly neglected. You coul have at least 8 more guns.
    Ship is too unbalanced.
    Neglecting crew training will criple you if enemy will have efective he ammo.
