I love my custom builds on Sage blanks. The finish is beautiful and the choice of available actions gives me the ability to sell a quality custom build in the exact style desired by my customer. Thanks for the great work.
Sage is my fly rod of choice, I have used my Sage One in New Zealand, Chile, and Argentina and it has never let me down and performed flawless. My guide in Argentina accidentally on my next to the last day of fishing broke the tip on my Sage One and I had to keep telling him over and over not to worry and stop feeling bad that as soon as I get home I'll send it back to Sage for repair and Sage had taken care of and sent back to me just like new. Good thing I had my Sage Sonic as a back-up rod.
Ive casted, fished, and broken many of the top rods. (loomis, scott, winston). I do not feel good as fly fisherman without a sage rod in my hand. about 5 yrs ago i bought a second hand GFL spey (15ft 9 wt)....it broke while walking thru the woods, i fell on it. I called Sage explained everything and then realized i didn't have a use of the warranty. They sent me a new rod anyway! They don't have one gimmick, they do all the little things very well...
Had My first Sage Rod 1990 grafite 3 Line seven the Braun one in Sweden the casting we Call it the Sage punches also hawe an SP 890 even better then the other one long casting Smother i salute you 😎😃👍
Bought a Sage one last year impressive rod, and will probably buy again after the kids get through college in years to come lol, What i found very disappointing was no line up guides on the joint sections, really drives me nuts having to look down the eyes to check alignment, for rod at just under €1000 i want line up guides, especially when other lesser brands have guides, other than that great rod, but not my favourite rod. good clip glad i watch it and to see the effort that goes into one of my most prized possessions.
actually jack sage rods are built all the same way in washington from the low end approach to the sage one and method. Other companies have most models made in china with only the high end rods american made. I have a couple sage rods and never had any issues if you have the $800 for a sage one buy one I highly recommend it
sage is a Awesome pole builder. Love my Sage Z axis pole. broke once. The replace only the part was broke. Had to pay 50.00 to send in under warranty. Heard it went up quite a bit. Use to recommend them all the time. My cusent hat a mid range 300.00 O vice fly rod. Broke it. Sent in to Orvis under warranty for 20.00. They sent him back a 650.00 + Helios fly rod. Orvis realy takes care of their customers for way less. Pluss up graded to the top of the line rod for free. Love my sage. But never will recommend them ever again. paid 720.00 for my rod. Then now if it brakes. Hv to send in 80.00 and hope they fix it. No way. They should up grade it to the newest one that took its place. This is their top of the line rod. I feel that Orvice is a better company as definitely have better customer service and know how to take care of their customers to keep them coming back. Sage don't!!!! Totally Recommend Orvis fly rods. They are jst as good. And warranty is way better.
What happened to sage designs like the Xp and z axis with beautiful nickel silver reel seats with half Wells handles I don't like the direction sage is going and not a fan of black alloy
Mine broke on a 7lb Rainbow. Zage Z-axis. So fare after they fixed it. It has not broke for 4 years. Never will buy another one or recommend them. Orvice all the waaaaaaaaay!!!!!

Watched loomis, TFO, and orvis break on the water. Never seen a sage break from normal use. Sage all the way, love mine
great video :-)
Love my Sage One! Tell Mark to make his reels in the USA, so I can buy one! Otherwise it's another Hatch for me next time!
Love those Hatch reels! A gold one would go wonderfully with the One!
@@shanemccoy8107 I love my American made Galvan reel. Pairs nicely with my Sonic stick.

Oh no! I realized my new Approach doesn't have alignment dots, how will I ever use it?
I'll be a Sage field tester. :D

The centre of the fly fishing universe? Rubbish, more to fly fishing than this.
Overpriced, overrated.
