This does not get any better than this. This song is the kind of music I miss like a train that I could not catch. I love this "soul" music, even though I enjoyed it during the 1960s and 1970s decade. These songs were never played on the air. Anyone who wants genuine and pure music must not overlook this one.
Radio ignored these gems.....I heard 'em coming outta open apt. windows back then. Teens playing 45's on parents livingroom hi fi consoles. Loud and scrumptious sounding, bass turned to hurt me. What a time, what a fantasy...❤
@@juanvillanueva5267 Those were the [good] old days. Lots of families were close together, especially in the 1960s and 1970s decades, which would equal 1 score. Evil was not as rampant as during these times. The music also came from private homes. I remembered some adults would dress conservatively at the dining tables and sit on the living room sofas watching black-and-white televisions. Electronics and computers were available only to the military, and then to large corporations. I am fortunate to get this music on RUclips as a last resort. You are smart. Thank you for typing to me.
@@captainkeyboard1007 Any recommendations for a 20yr old, i don't really like music too much but i cant help but find myself enamored my opera, soul, and jazz
The lead singer was Cynthia Girty. I believe they started with 4 male "Imaginations". Ernest Burt owned Magic City Records. I think the co-writer, Leroy Duckett, was one of the Imaginations. They lost one, and became "The Imaginary 3", when Burt leased recordings of The newly-named Imaginary 3 in early 1968, after their Magic City and Blue Rock releases in 1966 and early 1967.
What happen to the parties with the blue & red lights?🙄🤔 Those were the greatest house parties ever! It's all over & the times have changed for the worst! 😳Yes! I said it! Drive by shootings, stabbings & disruptive behaviors today! A new era of children. Save the Children! Save the Babies! I hope it's soon or we'll all be lost! Sign of the Times Can really blow yo mind! Fo Reel! 😳😞
Leaders killed. Guns placed in the hoods like candy now, high rate 70 % children born out of wedlock now vs. 30-40% back then, smart phones introduced and given to too young children too early, verse good parenting skills, makes for a deadly combination by design. Hope this helps explain some of it.
This song is beautiful. By the way, you are a soulful image of Faith Ford. She was an actress who played "Corky Sherwood" on the Murphy Brown Show during the 1990s decade. You continue to be faithful to your sweet and Gracious Great God.

We love it in the UK and collectors are still turning them up. A massive one on Magic City was 'Prepared To Love You', by Thelma Lindsay, also Mad Dog & The Pups/Soulful Hounds, both storming Detroir records and well loved over here, both in my own collection.
Yes, Felix played this on "Rhythm Revue". I remember being completely knocked out by it, as I'd never heard it before. I listened to him because he played the hits no one else ever played anywhere else, and a lot of non-hits no one ever played, like this one.

Good God if this doesn't get you up your dead. Fantastic harmony 👏 stirs all my emotions. Makes me feel so much younger .
Thank you for your history about these refined singers. I love the music more than just reading the notes. I want to feel these songs for myself.
Class
This is a beautiful song! I can't stop listening to it. Especially when I take long bike rides.
Old school soul sweet as sugar
Cyntia Girty, in a class with Brenda Payton (& the Tabulations).
+NORMA NIXON-TOTALLY AGREE! GLAD TO SEE I'M NOT ALONE WITH THIS POINT OF VIEW! ANOTHER EPIC OLD-SCHOOL CUT!
I like this song.
Darling Darling so endearing.
I wish I heard this song and music like this as I heard Motown, Atlantic, Stax, Brunswick, and all the rest. This music is very endearing.

At age78, I never heard this before, simply amazing performance and amazing that it wasn't apparently promoted, "back in the day."
This missed opportunity reminds me of "catch all the trains you missed."
Great song

I'm Not A Fan Of Most Hits...The Greatest Sounds Were From Cuts On Albums, Which Were Rarely Played On The Air.
In My Opinion All 1960s Songs Are Bangers But I Respect Your Opinion.
I've never heard a bad song that starts out with a timpani or deep tom roll
😅 4real tho
💯
loove it
Why does this sound almost identical to Ready to Fall in love??..
Oh man, how I desire to be so loved..... Ummm.....
Beauty voice.
The first chord and i chalked it up as a winner

aka "Mad Dad" Nice sounding tune that didn't get much, if any,
airplay here in Southern New England. A little hint of Brenda
& Tabulations .
This "Underground" music should be placed on top of the world.

This rare song was played on the Rhythm Review? This is why I stopped listening because he only plays the hits.

also this is my new favorite song
Song has a strong Smokey Robinson vibe... an A+ independent soul recording from the late 1960's!
